1. Stay alert. Do not attach while tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol,
or medication. A moment of inattention while attaching Hitch Lock may result in
serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Contain long hair. Keep
your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry,
or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3. Maintain Hitch Lock with care. When properly cleaned, the Hitch Lock is easier to
lock and unlock. Do not use if damaged. Store in dry location.
4. Check for misalignment or binding of lock, breakage of parts, and any other
condition that may affect operation. If damaged, have Hitch Lock serviced before
using. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
