OPERATION
• Remove the protective cap
and screw the probe to
the meter.
• Turn the ElTh® WP on
by pressing the ON/OFF
switch located on the
top.
• Dip the ElTh® WP probe
in the sample. An immersion level of 4 cm
(1½") is recommended
for liquids. Under no circumstances immerse
above the connector.
Ensure that the body of
the meter is not exposed to high temperatures (above 50°C/
122°F).
• Stir gently and wait for a few
seconds until the display stabilizes.
• When not in use, switch
ElTh® WP off.
• Do not disconnect the
probe unless necessary.
CALIBRATION
• Dip ElTh® WP probe
in a bath of water at
a known temperature
and preferably close
to the temperature of
your subsequent measurements or in the
middle of the scale.
• Wait for a few minutes and correct the reading if necessary by
adjusting the trimmer located on
the rear of the tester using a
small screwdriver.
Calibration is now complete.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
When the ElTh® WP cannot be
switched on or the display fades,
use a coin to remove the battery
compartment cover located on the
top of the tester (it
will be open with just
¼ turn). Remove the
cover with its O-ring
and replace all three
1.4V batteries while
paying attention to
their polarity. Reinsert the cover with
the O-ring and close
it with the coin.
Batteries should only be replaced
in a safe area using the battery
type specified in this instruction
manual.
