Your steam cleaner uses steam to remove tough grease,

dirt and grime. Steam is nature’s purest and most power-

ﬂoors.

Basic precautions should be observed when using

an electrical appliance, including the following:

1. Do not direct steam at people, animals, or

at electrical outlets.

2. Do not expose to rain.

3. Store indoors.

4. Unplug from outlet when not in use and

before conducting service maintenance or

trouble-shooting.

5. Do not leave steam cleaner unattended.

6. Do not leave the steam cleaner connected

to an electrical outlet when not in use.

7. Do not service steam cleaner when it is

plugged in.

8. Do not use with damaged cord or plug.

9. Do not use steam cleaner if it has been

dropped, damaged, left outdoors or

dropped into water. Return to a service

center.

10. Do not handle steam cleaner with wet

hands.

11. Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a

handle, close door on cord, pull cord

around sharp corners or expose cord to

heated surfaces.

12. Do not unplug by pulling on cord.

13. Do not use appliance in an enclosed space

ﬁlled with vapor given off by oil-based paint

thinner, some moth-prooﬁng substances,

ﬂammable dust, or other explosive or toxic

vapors.

14. Do not allow unit to be used as a toy.

15. Do not use on leather, wax polished

furniture or ﬂoors, synthetic fabrics, velvet

or other delicate, steam-sensitive

materials.

16. Do not immerse in water or any other liquid.

17. Do not use for any purpose other than

described in this User Manual.

CAUTION

The BS-10 emits

steam at 212˚F to

sanitize the area of

use. This means that

the steam head, Ultra-

Microﬁber Pads and

Carpet Glide get very

hot during use. Care

should be taken when

using this appliance.

during use except in

the approved man-

ner as outlined in this

manual.

WARNING

19. Never put descaling, aromatic, alcoholic or

detergent products into the steam cleaner,

as this may damage it or make it unsafe for use.

20. Unplug by grasping the plug, not the cord.

21. Close attention is necessary when used by or

near children.

22. If the circuit breaker activates while using the steam

function, discontinue product use immediately and

contact the customer support center. (Beware of the

risk of electrical shock.)

23. Do not allow the product to be disassembled and/

or modiﬁed by anyone other than an authorized

service technician. (Doing so can result in ﬁre and/

or electrical shock.)

24. Do not puncture steam hose that is exposed by the

swivel steam head joint.

25. This product is NOT for space heating purposes.

Important Safety Instructions

Electrical Plug Instructions:

This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than

the other). As a safety feature, this plug will ﬁt in a polarized

outlet only one way. If the plug does not ﬁt fully in the outlet,

reverse plug. If it still does not ﬁt, contact a qualiﬁed electri-

cian. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Operating Instructions

Care & Maintenance

1. Turn your steam cleaner off and unplug from

the electrical outlet.

2. Wrap power cord around cord hangers.

3. Let your steam cleaner cool for ﬁve (5) min-

utes before removing the Ultra-Microﬁber pad

and before emptying the water tank.

4. Always empty the water tank when you have

ﬁnished using your steam cleaner.

5. Never leave Ultra-Microﬁber pad on steam

cleaner when you have ﬁnished using it.

Always remove the Ultra-Microﬁber pad and

wash in warm water with a mild detergent.

Never use bleach or fabric softener when

cleaning the Ultra-Microﬁber pad.

The Ultra-Microﬁber pad can be washed in a

washing machine and dried in a clothes

dryer but on low heat.

To decrease pad wear, we recommend the

pad be hung to dry for 24 hours.

6. Wipe your steam cleaner with a damp cloth to

clean. Never immerse the unit in water or any

other liquid.

7. In order to keep your steam cleaner in good

condition, we recommend that you clean the

water tank once a month to eliminate calcium

deposits. Add eight ounces (8 oz) of water to

the water tank and insert 1 packet of Fresh

Rinse™ Lime and Scale Remover. Shake to

loosen any deposits. Place unit on resting

mat without pad, turn unit on and allow water

to steam until water in tank is depleted.

Do not use vinegar or other decalcifying

substances in the steam cleaner water tank.

IMPORTANT

Always ensure that your

steam cleaner is

UNPLUGGED from the

wall receptacle prior to

cleaning or emptying the

water tank.

CAUTION

Do not immerse your

steam cleaner in water

or any other liquid.

Helpful Hints

1. Always use a vacuum or sweep before

sanitizing your ﬂoors.

2. The easiest way to use the machine is to

tilt the handle to a 45º angle and clean

slowly 2-3 yards at a time.

CAUTION

Always operate steam

cleaner by gripping

the handle. Do not

grip by the pole.

3. A good amount of steam passes through

the Ultra-Microﬁber pad. We recommend

that the Ultra-Microﬁber pad be changed

when it becomes oversaturated.

4. To remove stubborn stains from vinyl or

linoleum ﬂoors, pre-treat with a mild

detergent and some water before using the

steam cleaner.

What is an Ultra-Microﬁber?

An Ultra-Microﬁber is a textile ﬁber that is thinner and more absorbent than a micro-

ﬁber (1.0dtex) pad typically used with steam mops. Speciﬁcally, to be deﬁned as an

Ultra-Microﬁber, it should be less than 0.2dtex. The Ultra-Microﬁber pad by HAAN

Corporation is made of .17dtex Ultra-Microﬁbers.

How to Use Ultra-Microﬁber Pads

1. Please make sure that a completely dry pad is used.

2. As high temperature steam passes through a pad to contact the ﬂoor

to kill germs, molds, mites and to provide a certain amount of water

necessary for cleaning, it is natural that the pad gradually absorbs

moisture. After a certain length of time, the pad repels water and

becomes damp.

3. To keep the ﬂoor clean and dry, replace the pad when it is dirty.

4. Only remove pad from unit when not in use and steam is not being

emitted.

How to Clean and Store

1. Hand wash or machine wash the Ultra-Microﬁber pad in cold water

on the delicate cycle with a mild detergent. (Do not use a

fabric softener.)

2. Using a washing machine may shorten the lifespan of the pads.

3. We recommend air drying the Ultra-Microﬁber pad for 24 hours, but

they could be dried in a dryer on a low heat setting.
