INTRODUCTION
GOOD WILL INSTRUMENT CO., LTD., accumulated over 30 years experiences
in electronic products’ research and development, is a pioneering manufacturer in
IC testers industry. The GUT-7000, desktop design, is a newly launched and best
quality possible and multi-functions equipped product. It can suppor t hundreds
of linear IC, including OP, OPTO, REG, SPECIAL FUNCTIONS DEVICE,
TRANSISTOR A RRAY devices.
The GUT-7000 feature such as built in “auto search & test ” speeds to identify
and test IC. In addition, the “loop” design for continuously testing function is
intelligently applied to detect defective ICs and their stability. All these strengths
provide signic antly conveniences for linear IC testers.

Input IC numbers for test.
Input/ Execution Key
● Executes testing work as inputting a device
number.
● Repeats test.
IC series selection key
● Switches selection "OP", "OPTO", "REG",
"Ext 1", "Ext 2" series.
Auto test key
● Auto detects IC number
● Auto test IC
If change into new IC, the "auto search & test"
will auto detect the IC, and continue to test.
When enter the "auto test" function, you can
press any key to return to hand operation.
Auto search key
Auto and continues search the serial ICs evices
which has the same function. After then, press
"TEST" to test devices directly.
These two are used to test the ZENER
components.
LM317 series private tester, please put the devices
follow the pattern.

OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
1. GENERAL OPERATION
STEP1. Plug in AC power cord, then switch power on.
The black light of LCD is on and presents software version. It starts selftest.
No system error found displays on the LCD
System error shows on the LCD if it is detected.
STEP2. Auto search the IC number and test if an IC is on the socket.
STEP3. Use "TYPE" to switch the selection of "OP", "OPTO", "REG" or "DRV"
series ICs.

When the power is on , please do not put any devices on the SOCKET or it will
cause the damages of the devices and machine.

2. TESTING PROCEDURES
(1) General Devices
STEP1. Put IC on the socket and IC’s bottom line up with socket. Pin 1 side
faces up.

IC pin 1 side faces up
STEP2. Input the IC number such as the OP LM324, and user types in IC
number in order.

STEP3. Press , then the test works. Follow-up test result is displayed
on the LCD.
Pass test displays on the LCD
Fail test displays on the LCD
STEP4. Repeat test by replacing a new IC, then press
STEP5. Re-type the IC’s numbers for other another test.
Note: "Pass" may also happen to some logic function compatible but different
number's two ICs if their numbers are exchanged with each other to test.

(2) 7xxx, LM217 & LM317 series
Step 1. Put the IC into Textool.
Please note the deivces direction, put the word 7XXX series in this
upside.
The words LMx17 in this downside
If not, the machine will display failed information. Please restart the
computer.
Step 2. Input the IC number. Such as the REG 7805.

(3) Zener serial devices
Step1. Put the Zener into Textool. (note the + , -)

Step4. Replace next testing Zener, then press, the system will repeat to

Step5. Re-type the Zener’s number for another test.
3. SEARCHING UNKNOWN IC NUMBER
Statements:
1. When the IC number is unknown, you can use this function to do the test.
2. For the same serial IC, it can do continues search.
Step 1. Put the IC into SOCKET.
Step 2. Press the system will auto detect and shows:
