SAFETY AND SET-UP ______________________
Please read this instruction manual thoroughly prior to using this appliance! Follow all safety instructions in order to avoid damages due to improper use! Keep the instruction manual for future reference. Should this appliance be given to a third party, than this instruction manual must also be handed over.
 The appliance is designed for domestic use
only. It should not be used for commercial purposes.
 Do not immerse the appliance in water or
in other liquids; do not hold it under running
water
 Never use the appliance if it is damaged.  Our GRUNDIG Household Appliances
meet applicable safety standards, thus if the
appliance is damaged, it must be repaired
or replaced by the dealer, a service centre or
a similarly qualified and authorized service
person to avoid any dangers. Faulty or
unqualified repair work may cause danger
and risks to the user.
 Do not dismantle the appliance under any
circumstances. No warranty claims are
accepted for damage caused by improper
handling.
 Keep the appliance always out of the reach
of children.
 The appliance should not be used by the
following persons, including children: those
with limited physical, sensory or mental
capabilities and also those with a lack of
experience and knowledge. This does not
apply to the latter if they were instructed
in the use of the appliance or if they use it
under the supervision of a person responsible
for their safety. Children should always be
supervised to ensure that they do not play
with the appliance.
 To clean the appliance, please see details in
the “Cleaning and Care” section.
 Dry the appliance after cleaning it.  Never operate or place this appliance on
or near to hot surfaces such as gas burner, electric burner or heated oven.
 Do not use the appliance for anything other
than its intended use.
 Never use the appliance in or near to
combustible, inflammable places and materials.
 Always use the appliance on a stable, flat,
clean, dry and non-slip surface.
 Vibrations should be avoided.  Do not overload this appliance,
max. 5000 gr.
 Only use valuable batteries (Alcaline).
Cheap batteries could leak and result in
damages to the appliance.
 If the batteries leak, remove them with a cloth
and dispose of them in accordance with the
applicable laws. Prevent battery acid from
coming into contact with skin and eyes. If you
do get battery acid in your eyes, flush them
thoroughly with lots of water and consult a
physician immediately. If battery acid comes
into contact with your skin, wash the affected
area with lots of water and soap.
 The batteries should never be recharged or
reactivated in any way, nor should they be
thrown into a fire or short-circuited.
 If the appliance is not to be used for a longer
period of time, then the batteries should be
removed, as the appliance could become
damaged should they leak.
 If the scale not longer works well, replace all
batteries.
 Batteries do not belong in household waste!
Please dispose of expired batteries in an
environmentally friendly way and according
to the applicable legal regulations.
 Never use old and new batteries or batteries
of differing brands simultaneously.

SAFETY AND SET-UP ______________________
 Before disposing of the appliance, remove
the batteries.
 When inserting batteries pay attention to
the polarity as indicated inside the battery compartment. Do not short-circuit the batteries.
 If you have problems with this appliance, try
to reset it by removing the batteries briefly or replacing them.
Note: This product complies to relative
radiated immunity test. However, the product
may be disturbed by nearby sources of
radiated immunity high frequencies. In such
cases, please remove these sources (e.g.
cordless phone/cell phone) immediately to
avoid any malfunction or incorrect display of
the product.

OPERATION ______________________________
Inserting / replacing the batteries
This appliance needs for operation two 1,5 V batteries, type LR3/AAA. Always replace all the batteries at the same time.
A
1 Open the battery compartment
on the bottom of the appliance by pressing the latch inwards and removing the battery compartment lid.
2 Place the supplied two 1,5 V batteries, type
LR3/AAA into the battery compartment. Pay attention to the correct polarity as indicated in the battery compartment.
Note
When the batteries are discharged, “Lo”
will appear in the display

. For replace, remove the expired batteries first and dispose of them in an environmentally friendly way.
3 Close the battery compartment lid. Make sure
that it clicks into place.
Determining the unit of weight
This appliance can display the weight in the following units:

appliance to be ready for operation.

1 Place the bowl on the weighing surface

is shown in the display B.
3 Fill the food items to be weighed in the bowl.

‒ When "H" is shown in the display
, then the weighing process has been completed and the display B will additionally indicate the actual weight of the contents in the bowl.
Note
In order to get real figures center the bowl on
the weighing surface.
4 To turn the appliance off, hold down the On/

for 3 seconds.
Note
If it is not being used, the appliance turns off
automatically after 2 minutes.
“H” will disappear on the display
automatically after 5 seconds.
Tare Function
Using the Tare function, you can weigh additional amounts of food separately and keep adding them to the existing contents.
1 To use tare function, press the On/Off button

after step 3 at weighing section.
‒ "0" blinks in the display B. Wait for
approx. 5 seconds until the display has reset itself to "0".
2 Fill the additional food items to be weighed in
the bowl.

‒ When "H" appears in the display
, then the weighing process has been completed and the display will additionally indicate the actual weight of the additional contents in the bowl.
3 For weighing of further additional ingredients
repeat steps 1-2.
4 To turn the appliance off, hold down the

On/Off button
for 3 seconds.
Note
In order to reset the display

back to "0" after the weighing process, press the On/Off button E.

OPERATION ______________________________
Warning
Do not overload the scale, otherwise it will be
damaged. In case the scale is overloaded, "Err" will be shown in the display.
The maximum weight on the display of the
scale is: 5000g or 11lb 3/8oz 5000ml or 176 fl.oz
Hints and tips
Only use bowls that are suitable for weighing
(plates or cups). Make sure that the bowls are not too big in order to have a few of the display.
Position the bowl on the weighing surface
correctly.
Always place the appliance on an even,
clean and non-slip surface.

Cleaning and care Caution
Make sure to follow the safety instructions
carefully during cleaning.
Never use alcohol, acetone, petrol, solvents
or abrasive cleaners, metal objects, metal
polish or hard brushes to clean the appliance.
Never put the appliance in water or any other
liquid.
1 Turn the appliance off. 2 Use a damp soft cloth to clean the exterior of
the appliance.
Note
Dry all parts carefully with a soft towel after
cleaning the appliance.

Therefore, do not dispose the product with normal household waste at the end of its service life. Take it to a collection point for the recycling of electrical and electronic

Storage
If you do not plan to use the appliance for a long period of time, remove the batteries from the battery compartment
