CAUTION: this telephone is specifically designed for people with
hearing difficulties and is provided with a handset earpiece volume
control for individual requirements. Due care must be taken by all
users that the handset earpiece volume control is set to the lowest
level acceptable by each respective user. Care should therefore be
exercised to ensure that any naive users are familiar with this
requirement.

1 - Connecting the telephone

- Connect the handset cord.

- Open the battery door by turning around the locking tab.
Insert 4 alkaline batteries (type AA 1.5V, not supplied) in the
compartment (*). Batteries are required if you wish to
increase the ringer level up to 10 dB & also use the
“Mechanical Bell” ringer feature.
Replace the battery door and turn the locking tab to the
locked position.

- Connect the line cord plug into the line socket on the rear of
the unit (*).

- Connect the other end of the line cord into the wall PTT
socket (*).

2 - Ringer volume setting

The phone is equipped with “Mechanical Bell” ringers which can be

selected between UK (tring..tring) & European (triiiiiiiiiiiing) style
bells, via the switch located in the battery compartment.

The mechanical bell sound is functional only when the batteries are
inserted and are not run down.

When there are no batteries or the batteries are “low” the Battery

low indicator flashes and the ringer sound is the normal two tone
electronic ring.

A switch located on the right side allows the ringer to be switched to
LOUD Hi, Low or Off:

Note: The ring level will be increased of 10 dB if you insert
batteries.

3 – Auto Dial Switch

When this switch is in ON position ( ), the phone will automatically
dial out the number stored in the SOS memory if no other dial button
is pressed for 4 seconds. Set this switch as per your requirement.

4 – Auto On Hook

When this switch is in the On position ( ), the phone will
automatically go On Hook (disconnect the telephone line) when the
person at the other end disconnects the line, even if the handset is
not replaced on the cradle.

In case the handset is removed from the cradle and there is a phone
call, the phone will still ring as usual. To answer the call, pick up the
handset, press and release the hook button once.

1 - Receiving volume and tone adjustment

You can increase the volume and adjust the receiving tone
according to your own hearing requirements.

When the switch located under the phone is ON ( ), the extra­receiving and tone functions are automatically activated each time
you use the phone.

When this switch is OFF ( ), you will need to activate the function
by pressing the button .

Pressing the button (AMPLIFY ON/OFF switch) allows extra
receiving and tone functions to be activated during the conversation.

When the function is activated, the red light of extra receiving and
tone function located below the ringer LED lens lights up

Adjust the TONE and VOLUME buttons to fit the levels to your own
hearing requirements.

Note: When the tone (treble), earpiece volume and sending levels
are set to the maximum, whistling may occur. Then the sending

level settings should be decreased with the switch .

When the switch located in the bottom of the phone base is ON
( ), the extra-receiving and tone functions are automatically

activated each time you use the phone. When this switch is OFF
( ), you will need to activate the function by pressing the button

.

Tone and volume (15dB to 30dB) adjustment is only activated when
the button is set to ON ( ). When this button is set to OFF

( ) only the volume can be adjusted from 0dB to 15dB.

2 - Sending volume adjustment

If your voice is quiet or called parties have difficulty hearing you, you
can increase the sending level volume with the switch located on
the right side. You can also decrease the sending volume if
required.

If you are using this telephone with a hearing aid, set your

hearing aid to the T setting.

1 -Answer a call

- When an incoming call is received the phone will ring and the
ringer LED will flash, to answer the call lift the handset and
speak.

- On completion of the call, carefully replace the handset in the
cradle to release the line. See also section on Auto/Manual
switch

2 - Making a call

- Lift the handset.

- Await the dial tone and press the SOS, M1 or M2 buttons
once

- On completion of the call, carefully replace the handset in the
cradle.

3 - Storing telephone numbers

Your telephone has a SOS memory button with 112 stored as
default and also two other memory buttons, M1 & M2

This SOS number can be changed to a number of your choice
which can be up to 18 digits. To change the SOS memory:

 Remove the handset from the cradle
 Press the hidden STORE button located inside the battery

compartment

 Use the dial keypad to enter the new number
 Press SOS memory button
 Replace the handset on the cradle

You can also store numbers of your choice (eg. Doctor, Ambulance
etc) in the M1 & M2 locations using the same procedure, only press
M1 of M2 button instead of SOS.

4 - Dialing stored numbers

- Lift the handset and await the dial tone.

- Press SOS, M1 or M2 Button, the stored number will be
dialled automatically.

Note: If Auto Dial On/Off switch is set to ON position ( ), if a
telephone number key is not pressed within 4 seconds of
lifting the handset, the number stored in SOS memory will
automatically dial out.

personnes souffrant de troubles de l'audition. Un bouton permet à
chacun de régler le volume de l'écouteur du combiné selon ses

1 - Branchement du téléphone

- Commencer par brancher le cordon spiralé du combiné.

- Ouvrir le couvercle du compartiment des piles en faisant
pivoter le verrou. Insérer 4 piles alcalines (type AA 1,5V non
fournies) dans le compartiment (*). Les piles permettent
d'augmenter le volume de la sonnerie jusqu'à 10 dB et
d'utiliser la sonnerie de type "mécanique".
Remettre en place le couvercle du compartiment des piles et
faire pivoter le verrou pour le bloquer.

- Brancher le cordon de ligne à la prise correspondante à
l'arrière de l'appareil (*).

- Branchez l'autre extrémité du cordon à la prise téléphonique
murale (*).

2 - Réglage du volume de la sonnerie

Un interrupteur situé en dessous de l'appareil permet de régler la
sonnerie sur quatre positions:

: Forte

: MAXI

Remarque: Le volume de la sonnerie augmente de 10 dB si vous
insérez des piles dans l'appareil. La sonnerie sera à ce moment là
une sonnerie mécanique et non plus électronique.

3 – Numérotation automatique

Si l’interrupteur de numérotation automatique est sur Marche ( ),
le téléphone compose automatiquement le numéro enregistré dans
la mémoire 'SOS' dès que vous décrochez le combiné (si vous
n'appuyez sur aucune autre touche dans un délai de 4 secondes).
Réglez cet interrupteur sur la position adaptée à votre utilisation.

4 – Raccrochage Automatique

Si l’interrupteur de raccrochage automatique est en position marche

( ), le téléphone raccrochera automatiquement (coupure de la ligne
téléphonique) dès que le correspondant raccrochera de son côté,
même si vous ne reposez pas le combiné sur le berceau de l'appareil.

Si vous recevez un appel alors que le combiné n'a pas été reposé sur
le berceau de l'appareil, le téléphone sonnera tout de même comme à
l'ordinaire. Pour prendre l'appel, prenez le combiné en main. Ensuite,
appuyez une fois sur le bouton de coupure de ligne et relâchez-le.

1 – Réglage du volume et de la tonalité de
réception

Vous pouvez augmenter le volume d’écoute et adapter la tonalité à
votre audition.

Le bouton (interrupteur marche/arrêt d'amplification) permet
d'activer d'autres fonctions affectant la réception et la tonalité en
cours de conversation.

Si l'interrupteur est en position Marche ( ), le voyant rouge situé
près de la touche de 'Rappel du dernier numéro composé / rappel
du dernier appelant' s'allume.

Réglez les curseurs de TONALITÉ et de VOLUME pour adapter le
son à votre audition :

Remarque: Si le réglage de tonalité (aigus), le volume d’écoute et
le microphone sont réglés sur la position maximale, vous entendrez
peut-être un sifflement dans l'appareil. Dans ce cas, nous
conseillons de diminuer le volume du microphone à l'aide de

l’interrupteur d'amplification:

Si l'interrupteur situé sous le téléphone est en position Marche
( ), les fonctions supplémentaires affectant la réception et la

tonalité seront activées par défaut à chaque fois que vous utiliserez

le téléphone. Si l’interrupteur est en position Arrêt ( ), vous

devrez le déplacer pour activer la fonction

Le réglage de la tonalité et du volume (de 15dB à 30dB) est
possible uniquement si l'interrupteur est en position Marche

( ). Si cet interrupteur est en position Arrêt ( ), vous pourrez
uniquement régler le volume de réception de 0dB à 15 dB.

2 - Réglage du volume du microphone

Si vous ne parlez pas fort, ou si vos correspondants ont du mal à
vous entendre, vous pouvez augmenter le volume du microphone
du combiné, à l'aide du curseur de réglage situé sur le côté droit de
l'appareil. Naturellement, vous pouvez également diminuer le
volume émis si vous le souhaitez.

Si vous utilisez le téléphone avec un appareil auditif, réglez

votre appareil sur la position T.

1 - Répondre à un appel

- Lorsque vous recevez un appel, le téléphone sonne et le témoin
lumineux clignote. Pour répondre, décrochez le combiné et parlez.

- Quand la conversation est terminée, reposez le combiné sur le
berceau de l’appareil pour raccrocher. Voir aussi le paragraphe
décrivant le Sélecteur Auto/Manuel.

2 - Passer un appel

- Prenez le combiné en main.

- Attendez la tonalité et appuyez sur le bouton SOS, M1 ou
M2.

- A la fin de l’appel, reposez le combiné sur le berceau.

automatique.

3 - Mémoriser un numéro SOS ou une mémoire

Le téléphone est équipé d’une touche SOS : le numéro enregistré

par défaut est le numéro d'appel d’urgence, le 112 et aussi 2 autres

mémoires M1 et M2.

Vous pouvez remplacer le numéro SOS par un numéro de votre
choix, comportant jusqu’à 18 chiffres. Pour modifier le numéro SOS :

 Soulevez le combiné posé sur le berceau
 Appuyez sur la touche MÉMORISATION située dans le

compartiment des piles de l’appareil

 Entrez le nouveau numéro à l’aide des touches de numérotation
 Appuyez sur la touche SOS
 Reposez le combiné sur le berceau de l'appareil.

Vous pouvez enregistrer le numéro de votre choix (ex: Docteur,
Ambulance, etc…), aux positions M1 et M2, utilisez la même
procédure d’enregistrement mais appuyez sur M1 ou M2 à la place
de SOS.

4 – Composition d’un numéro mémorisé

- Prenez le combiné en main et attendez la tonalité.

- Appuyez sur le bouton SOS, M1 ou M2.
Le numéro sera compose automatiquement.

Remarque: Si l’interrupteur de numérotation automatique est sur

Marche ( ), le téléphone compose automatiquement le numéro
enregistré dans la mémoire 'SOS' dès que vous décrochez le
combiné (si vous n'appuyez sur aucune autre touche dans un délai
de 4 secondes). Réglez cet interrupteur sur la position adaptée à
votre utilisation.

1 – Telefon verbinden

- Hörerkabel verbinden.

- Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach durch Drehen der Schließklappe.
Legen Sie 4 Alkaline-Batterien (Typ AA 1.5V, nicht
mitgeliefert) in das Fach (*). Batterien sind erforderlich, wenn
Sie den Rufton bis zu 10 dB erhöhen und wenn Sie die
“Mechanische Glocke” Klingelton verwenden wollen.
Batteriedeckel wieder platzieren und drehen Sie die Klappe
um den Deckel zu fixieren.

- Verbinden Sie das Netzkabel mit der Netzbuchse auf der
Rückseite Ihres Apparates (*).

- Verbinden Sie das andere Ende des Netzkabels mit der
Wand PTT-Buchse (*).

2 - Klingellautstärke einstellen

Das Telefon ist ausgestattet mit einem “Mechanischen Glocken”

Klingelton, welches zwischen Großbritanien (tring..tring) &
Europäischen (triiiiiiiiiiiing) Glockenton ausgewählt werden kann, mit
dem Schalter welches sich im Batteriefach befindet. Der
mechanische Glocken Klang ist nur funktionsfähig, wenn die
Batterien eingelegt wurden und sie auch nicht entladen sind. Sind

keine Batterien eingelegt oder die Batterien sind zu “schwach” blinkt

die schwache Batterieanzeige auf und der Rufton wird die normale
elektronische Zweitonklingel sein. Ein Schalter auf der rechte Seite
ermöglicht die Klingel Hoch, Niedrig oder AUS zu schalten.

Hinweis: Der Klingellevel wird um 10 dB erhöht, sobald Sie die
Batterien eingelegt haben.

3 – Automatische Wähltaste

Steht dieser Schalter auf der ( ) Position und der Hörer wurde
abgehoben, wird das Telefon automatisch die Nummer wählen
welche als SOS-Nummer abgespeichert wurde, wenn nicht eine
andere Nummer innerhalb von 4 Sekunden gewählt wurde. Stellen
Sie diesen Schalter nach Ihren Anforderungen ein.

4 – Automatisch aufgelegt

Steht dieser Schalter auf der ( ) Position, wird das Telefon
automatisch auflegt (Telefonverbindung ausschalten ), wenn die
Person am anderen Ende die Verbindung trennt, auch wenn der
Hörer nicht auf die Telefongabel aufgelegt wurde.

Für den Fall, daß der Hörer aus der Telefongabel entfernt wurde
und es wird angerufen, wird das Telefon immer noch wie gewohnt
klingeln. Um den Anruf anzunehmen, nehmen Sie den Hörer und
dann drücken Sie auf die Auflege-Taste einmal und lassen dann
wieder los.

1 - Empfangene Lautstärke- u. Toneinstellung

Sie können die Lautstärke erhöhen und stellen Sie den
Empfangston nach Ihren eigenen Anforderungen an Ihr
Hörvermögen ein.

Wenn der Schalter unterhalb des Telefones auf AN ( ) ist ,
werden die extra Empfangs- und Tonfunktionen automatisch
aktiviert, sobald das Telefon aktiviert wird.

Ist dieser Schalter auf AUS ( ), müssen Sie die Funktion durch
Drücken der Taste aktivieren .

Durch drücken der Taste (VERSTÄRKUNG AN/AUS Schalter)
kann zusätzlich Empfangs- und Tonfunktion während des
Gesprächs aktiviert werden.

Sobald die Funktion aktiviert ist, wird das rote Licht der
zusätzlichen Empfangs- und Tonfunktion, angebracht unterhalb der
Klingel LED, aufleuchten.

Stellen Sie den TON und den LAUTSTÄRKE Regler so ein, damit
der Grad Ihrer Anforderung angepasst wird.

Hinweis: Wenn der Ton (Höhen), Hörerlautstärke und
Übertragungslevel auf maximum gestellt sind ,könnte ein Pfeifen

Wenn der Schalter unterhalb des Telefons auf AN ( ) gestellt
ist, werden die extra Empfangs- und Tonfunktionen automatisch
aktiviert wenn Sie das Telefon benutzen . Ist der Schalter auf AUS

( ), müssen Sie die Funktionen durch Drücken der Taste
aktivieren .

Ton und Lautstärke (15dB bis 30dB) Anpassung ist nur dann
aktiviert wenn die Taste auf AN( ) ist. Wenn die Taste auf

AUS ( ) ist, kann die Lautstärke nur von 0 dB bis 15 dB eingestellt
werden.

2 – Ausgehende Lautstärkeeinstellung

Ist Ihre Stimme zu leise oder ein Teil der Angerufenen haben
Schwierigkeiten Sie zu hören, dann können Sie die ausgehende
Lautstärke mit dem Regler an der rechten Seite erhöhen. Sie
können auch die ausgehende Lautstärke verringern.

Wenn Sie dieses Telefon mit einem Hörgerät benutzen, dann
stellen Sie Ihr Hörgerät auf die T-Position.

1 - Anruf beantworten

- Wenn ein eingehender Anruf empfangen wird ,klingelt das
Telefon und die Klingel-LED blinkt, um den Anruf
anzunehmen, heben Sie den Hörer ab und fangen sie an zu
sprechen.

- Nach Beendigung des Gesprächs legen Sie den Hörer

vorsichtig in die Telefongabel um die Verbindung zu
beenden. Siehe auch den Abschnitt über Auto/Manuell­Schaltung.

2 - Anrufen

- Hörer abnehmen.

- Warten Sie auf das Freizeichen und drücken Sie dann die
SOS, M1 oder M2 Taste einmal.

- Nach Beendigung des Gesprächs, legen Sie den Hörer
vorsichtig in die Telefongabel.

3 - Telefonnummern speichern

Ihr Telefon hat eine SOS Speichertaste mit 112 als
Standardspeicher und zwei weitere Speichertasten M1 & M2.

Diese SOS Nummer kann auf eine Zahl Ihrer Wahl geändert
werden, die bis zu 18 Ziffern lang sein kann. Um den SOS Speicher
zu ändern:

 Nehmen Sie den Hörer aus der Telefongabel.
 Drücken Sie die versteckte SPEICHER Taste welche sich im

Batteriefach befindet.

 Verwenden Sie die Zifferntastatur, um die neue Nummer

einzugeben.

 Drücken Sie die SOS Speichertaste.
 Legen Sie den Hörer auf die Telefongabel.

Sie können auch Nummern Ihrer Wahl speichern (z.B. Arzt,
Krankenwagen etc.) auf den Plätzen M1 und M2 nach dem gleichen
Verfahren, nur drücken Sie die M1 und M2 Taste anstelle von SOS.

4 - Gespeicherte Nummer wählen

- Hörer abnehmen und auf das Freizeichen warten.

- SOS, M1 oder M2 Taste drücken, die gespeicherte Nummer
wird automatisch gewählt.

Hinweis: Wenn der automatische An/Aus Schalter auf der
Position An ( ) ist , und eine Telefonnummerntaste nach

Abheben des Hörers nach 4 Sekunden nicht gedrückt wird,
wird die Nummer im SOS-Speicher automatisch gewählt.
