To set up your
Explorer-SP:

Plug the power supply unit into the back ■
of the main unit and then into the
mains supply.

remote control to power on / off.

For use with
iPod / iPhone:

Select and insert the correct docking adapter ■
to suit your iPod / iPhone.

■

Carefully insert your iPod / iPhone into the
dock, it will start charging upon connection.

N.B. Please ensure that you use the dock
adapters included to avoid damage to the dock
connector.

Press
pause your music.

Use the MENU button on the remote control
to navigate through the iPod / iPhone menus.

control to navigate the various features of the

Battery status:

The three green LEDs on the top of the speaker
will display the charging status / remaining
power of the battery:

0-10% Charge: 1 Flashing LED

10-40% Charge: 1 Solid Green LED

70-100% Charge: 3 Solid Green LEDs

3D sound:

Explorer-SP has a 3D button for increased width
and depth to your music.

■

To activate 3D sound press the 3D button on
either your speaker or remote control.

For use with other
music players:

Plug one end of a 3.5mm audio cable (not ■
included) into your MP3 or MP4 player and
connect the other end into the AUX line-in
port at the back of the speaker.

■

Use your device to control the music.

N.B. Your iPod / iPhone must be removed from
the dock.

Battery replacement
instructions:

It is recommended that you charge the ■
Explorer-SP for 8 hours before first use.

■

A properly maintained battery will retain up to
80% of its original capacity at 300 full charge
and discharge cycles. You may choose to
replace your battery when it no longer holds
sufficient charge to meet your needs.
New batteries may be purchased from

Use a screwdriver to unscrew the
battery compartment.

■

Remove the cover from the back (gently tap
the case until compartment pops up).

■

Disconnect the old battery and connect up
the new Lithium-ion battery.

Slide the battery into the compartment ■
ensuring the wires are neatly tucked out
of the way.

■

Replace the cover and screw back
tightly in place.

UNPACKING AND INSTALLATION

Unpack your unit carefully. We recommend that
you save the packaging in case you ever need
to store your unit. To avoid damage, never place
the unit or its batteries near radiators, in front of
heating vents, under direct sunlight or near water.

FOR YOUR SAFETY
– When disconnecting the power cable,

pull the power plug first. Do not pull the
cord by itself.

– Never handle the power plug with wet hands,

as this could cause fire or electric shock.
– Refer servicing to qualified personnel only.
– Do not open the housing.

– Do not twist or pinch the power cable.

If the plug or power cable needs to be
replaced, ensure that it complies with the
manufacturer’s recommendation.

– Unplug the unit during lightning storms and

when unused for extended periods of time.

– The Explorer-SP grill is resistant to water,

grease and dirt, should the fabric become
dirty you can wipe it clean with a damp cloth.

Le Explorer-SP est doté d'une touche d'effet 3D
pour un son surround virtuel.

Pour activer le son 3D, actionnez la touche
3D des enceintes ou de la télécommande.

Utilisation avec d'autres
périphériques audio:

Branchez une extrémité d'un câble audio de ■
3,5 mm dans votre lecteur MP3 ou MP4, et
branchez l'autre extrémité dans la prise AUX
au dos de l'unité (Câble non fourni).

Notez que votre iPod / iPhone doit être retiré.

Instructions concernant
la batterie:

Il est recommandé de charger l'Explorer-SP ■
pendant 8 heures avant la première utilisation.

■

Une batterie bien entretenue retient jusqu'à
80% de sa capacité d'origine au bout de
300 cycles de charge et décharge complets.
Vous pouvez remplacer la batterie lorsqu'elle
ne retient plus de charge suffisante pour vos
besoins. Vous trouverez les batteries

À l'aide d'un tournevis, dévissez le
compartiment de la batterie.

■

Retirez le couvercle au dos (en tapant
doucement sur le boîtier jusqu'à ce que
le compartiment s'ouvre).

■

Débranchez l'ancienne batterie et
connectez la nouvelle batterie lithium-ion.

■

Faites glisser la batterie dans le
compartiment, en prenant soin de
bien ranger les fils.

■

Remettez le couvercle en place
et revissez fermement.

DÉBALLAGE ET INSTALLATION

Déballer l'appareil avec soin. Nous recommandons
de conserver l'emballage, pour tout stockage
prolongé éventuel de l'appareil. Pour éviter tout
endommagement, ne jamais placer l'appareil
ou ses batteries près d'un radiateur, près d'une
bouche d'aération, sur un rebord de fenêtre
exposé au soleil ni près d'une source d'eau.

Pour débrancher l'adaptateur d'alimentation, ‒
tirer sur la fiche. Ne jamais tirer sur le cordon.

qualifié pour toute réparation.

Explorer-SP verfügt über eine 3D-Effekt-Taste
für virtuellen Surround-Sound.

Um den 3D-Sound zu aktivieren, drücken
Sie die 3D-Taste am Lautsprecher oder auf
der Fernbedienung.

Verwendung mit
anderen Audiogeräten:

Schließen Sie ein Ende des 3,5-mm- ■
Audiokabels (nicht inbegriffen) an Ihren,
MP3- oder MP4-Player an, und stecken Sie
das andere Ende in den AUX-Anschluss auf
der Rückseite des Geräts.

Steuern Sie die Musikwiedergabe über
das Gerät.

Hinweis: Ihr iPod / iPhone muss
herausgenommen werden.

Die drei grünen LEDs oben am Lautsprecher
zeigen den Ladestatus/die verbleibende
Leistung des Akkus an:
