Options
Autosoak Option (on some models)
Thisoption begins with a brief agitation, soaks for a specified period oftime, then movesthrough the restof the cycle
automatically. On some models,this option islocated on the CycleSelector knob.
2nd Rinse Option (onsome models)
When you use extra detergent orbleach to clean heavily soiledclothes, usethe 2nd Rinseoption to better remove additional
residues.
Extended Spin Option (onsome models)
Usethis option to extract more water from your clothes. Clothes will be drier when this option isselectedand will dry more
quickly inyour dryer.
Fabric Softener and Power Rinse
Setthis option when adding fabric softener to the washer or to selectthe enhanced Power Rinse.
NOTE:Do not usefabric softener dispensing ballswith this washer.They do not work correctly in high-efficiency washers.
Status Indicator Lights
TheCycleIndicator Lights show what stagethe washer isin. When the Selectorknob isset to a new cycle,the Indicator
Lightswill flash momentarily, showing what stages the cyclewill go through. Onmodels without anAUTOSOAKoption, the

Wash Cycle-Cycle Selector Knob
The wash cycle controls the length and intensity of the washing process. The knob can be turned in either direction. Turning
the Cycle Selector knob after starting a cycle willstop the washer and reset the cycle to the new selection. Press START to
begin the new cycle selection.
WHITES For heavy to lightlysoiled cottons, household linens, work and play clothes. This cycle provides the best overall
cleaning and with the normal soilsetting should be used for most everyday items. Provides a high speed spin.
PREWASH For removing surface dirt from heavily soiled clothes, lake sure to follow with a regular wash cycle.
COLORS For non-colorfast clothes and blends or items that are labeled for cold wash. Provides a regular wash with periods
of soak and a high speed spin.
PERMANENT PRESS For wrinkle-free and permanent press items and knits. Provides a regular wash with periods of
soak and a low speed spin.
DELICATES Forlingerie and special-care fabrics with lightsoil. Provides an extra gentle wash and a low speed spin.
HAND WASH For items labeled hand washable with light soil. Provides an extra low speed spin.
SPEEDWASH Forsmall loadsof lightlysoileditemsthat are neededin a hurry. Providesa high speedspin.
DRAIN&SPINORSPINONLY Fordrainingthe tub and spinningwater out ofthe clothes.Providesa highspeedspin.
TOWELS&SHEETSProvidesperiodsof agitation and soak tailored for washing towels and sheets. Providesa regularwash
and a high speedspin.
JEANS Forwashing medium to lightly soiled jeans. Providesa gentlewash and a highspeedspin.(Forheavily soiled work
jeans, use WHITES cycle.)
QUICKRINSE Rinsesand spins non-soiled items where a rinseonly is desired. Providesa high speed spin.
START
PressSTARTto beginthe cycle.PressingSTARTagainwill PAUSEthe cycle and the Cycleindicator light will blink.
Tocontinue the cycle,pressSTARTagain or close the lid.If machine ispaused more than 2/4hours,the cycle will be
cancelled.To stop the cycle, hold the button for 3 seconds. Ifwater remains inthe machine,select the DRAIN& SPINOR
SPINONLYcycle to drain tub and spin water out of the washer tub.

If it accidentally comes off, simply put it back
on.

HEdetergents are formulated to work with low water

When using high efficiency or concentrated detergents,

for optimum performance. Excessivedetergent will
