MaxShell
MaxShell delivers the awesome power of MaxSea PC-based navigation wrapped in
plotter-like simplicity. MaxShell ensures simplicity and reliability by insulating the user
from the Windows operation system, thereby automating data back-up, denying access to
unauthorized users, and enhancing data security.
MaxShell is supplied on a separate CD. You have first to install MaxSea and all the
charts you need. Note that you can install the charts later, but it is preferable to set up a
full running version of MaxSea on your computer before you install MaxShell.
When you are happy with your MaxSea installation, load the MaxShell CD and launch
“setup.exe”. This will install MaxShell on your hard drive.
Warning: Do not tamper with the MaxShell installation folder (C:\Maxhell). This could
result in an irretrievable loss of data.
Main Panel

When you restart your computer, the main panel of MaxShell shows automatically:

1 - [Launch MaxSea] starts the MaxSea software.
2 - [Autostart MaxSea] automatically starts MaxSea on start-up if checked.
3 - [MaxSea Utilities] opens direct access window to MaxSea utilities.
[CM93 ed.3 Utilities] opens direct access window to CM93.ed.3 utilities.
[Other programs] opens direct access window to custom utilities.
You can add programs and utilities through the Agents Area.
4 - Shows the User Help file.
5 - [Shut down computer] accesses to switch off/restart.
6 - [Actions] opens a window to perform backup etc…
7 - [License] add a license to unlock your MaxShell
8 - Agent Area is password protected and is only for dealers/agents:
[Go to operating system] starts Windows user interface and stops MaxShell.
[System Setup] opens the MaxShell configuration dialog box.

License
You have 15 days to register your copy of MaxShell. To do this, click on “License”. This
button gives you access to the license status.
Click on the “New License” button to display the following password dialog box:
Password is “123”.This password protects license from tampering and grants access to
the license dialog box:
Contact your Dealer and provide him the user code. This number is unique and attached
to your computer. Your dealer will provide you in return an authorisation code. You will
have to enter this code in order to license your copy of MaxShell.

With a simple click on the "Actions" button, you gain direct access to all MaxShell users
features.

In demo mode, do not tamper with system date and time or your license will be removed
Agents’ area
This area is only for Agent/Distributor usage.
The default password to go to the operating system is “1234567654321”. If you press this
button, MaxShell will quit and your OS will appear.
The default password for the system setup is “mayday”. This button gives access to the
preferences of MaxShell.
