Operator’ s Guide
The purpose of this operator's guide is to provide the basic operating procedures for this equipment. For detailed information, refer to the operator's manual.
Turning the Power On/Off
Press the [POWER] switch.
Displaying Electronic Chart at Power Up
Insert chart card in slot and turn on the power.
Selecting Data Displays
Press the [PLOT] key. Each press of the key
displays data display (1), data display (2), or
turns off the data display.
Changing Chart Scale
Press the [ZOOM IN] key to enlarge; the
[ZOOM OUT] key to shrink.
Turning the Cursor On/Off
Press the [CURSOR ON/OFF] key.
Shifting the Cursor
Turn on the cursor and operate the trackball
or arrow keys.
Shifting the Display
Turn off the cursor and operate the trackball
or arrow keys.
Returning Own Ship to Screen Center
Turn off the cursor and press the [CENTER]
key.
Displaying Current Chart Scale
Press the [PLOT] key to display data display
(2). Horizontal range in miles appears at top
right-hand corner in the display window.
Changing the Plot Interval
Press the [PLOT INTVL] key.
Stopping, Restarting Recording of Track
Press the [PLOT INTVL] key to display the
indication “HOLD.” To restart recording, press
the [PLOT INTVL] key again to erase the
“HOLD” indication.
Entering, Erasing Marks
Cancelling Destination
By Cursor
1. Set cursor on location desired for mark.
2. Press mark key desired.
To erase a mark, place the cursor on it and
press the [CLR] key.
Entering Mark at Own Ship Position
1. Turn off the cursor.
2. Press mark key desired.
Entering Waypoints By Cursor
1. Press the [WPT] key.
2. Select CURSOR from the MODE field.
3. Enter waypoint no. in the WPT NO. field.
4. Set cursor on position desired.
5. Press the [ENT] key.
6. Press the [WPT] key to register waypoint
and close the menu.
Registering Routes
1. Press the [ROUTE] key.
2. Select WAYPOINT from the MODE field.
3. Enter route number in ROUTE NO. field.
4. Enter waypoint numbers in the WPT NO.
field, in the order they are to be traversed.
5. Press the [ENT] key.
Press the [FR/TO] key, select CANCEL and
press the [ENT] key.
Setting Arrival Alarm
1. Press the [ALARM] key.
2. Select ARR from the ARR/ANCHOR field.
3. Key in alarm range in the ALARM RANGE
field.
4. Press the [ENT] key.
Silencing audible alarm: Press the [CLR] key.
Disabling alarm: Select OFF in step 2 above.
Formatting Memory Cards
1. Insert new memory card in slot.
2. Press [MENU], [3], [8].
3. Press the [ENT] key.
Recording Data
1. Insert memory card in slot.
2. Press [MENU], [3].
3. Press appropriate key to select item to
record: [1], track; [2], marks/lines, [3],
waypoints/routes.
4. Select CREATE NEW FILE.
5. Enter file name with trackball and the
[ENT] key.
6. Select OK and press the [ENT] key.
Setting Destination by Waypoint Number
1. Press the [FR/TO] key.
2. Select WAYPOINT from the MODE field.
3. Enter waypoint number in the WPT NO.
field.
4. Press the [ENT] key.

Replaying Data
1. Insert memory card in slot.
2. Press [MENU], [4].
3. Press appropriate key to select item to
play back: [1], track; [2], marks/lines, [3],
waypoints/routes.
4. Select file.
5. Press the [ENT] key.
6. Press the [PLOT] key to go to the plotter
screen.
