1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
This canopy hood is designed to be fitted into cabinets or chimney cooker hoods, placed ab ove
a hotplate. It can be used either in the extraction mode (ducted to the outside) or in the recirculation mode (internal recycling).
Before starting the installation, consideration should be given to the difficulties to be
found during installation. The installat ion work must be unde rtaken by a qual ified and
competent person in conformity to the rules concerning the evacuation of contaminated
air.
The manufacturer disclaims all liability for any damage or injury caused as a result of
not following the ins tructions f o r installation contained in the following text.
2 - SAFETY WARNINGS
2.1 - Whe n used in the extract ion mode, the cooker hood ducting must not be connected to a
flue which i s use d for ex ha usti ng f umes from appl ia nces s uppli e d with e ner gy ot her than
electric, such as a central heating flue or water heating flue.
2.2 - Bef ore connecting to t he mains supply ensur e that the mains voltage corresponds w ith
the voltage on the rating plate inside the hood.
2.3 - Connect the cook er hood t o the ma i ns vi a a bi pol ar sw it c h w hic h has 3 mm clea ra nce between the con tac ts .
2.4 - The appliance must be earthed.
2.5 - When installed, the hood must be positioned at least 65 cm above the hotplate.
2.6 - Never do flambé c ooking under thi s cooker hood.
2.7 - Never leave frying pans unattended during use as overheat ed fat and oil may catch fire.
2.8 - Before carryi ng out any ki nd of mainte nance or clea ning, disconn ect the hood f rom the
mains supply.
2.9 - If the room where the cooker hood is to be used contains a fuel burning appliance such
as a central heating boiler then this must be of the room sealed or balanced flue type. If
other types of flue or appl iance are fitted, ensure that there is an adequate s upply of ai r
into the room. When the cooke r hood is used in conjunction with appliances supplied
with energy other than electric, the negative pressure in the room must not exceed 0,04
mbar to prevent fumes bein g drawn back into the room by the cooker hood.
2.10- This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless
they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person respo n sib le fo r their safety.
2.11- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
