NTRODUCTION AND TECHNICAL DATA
The Aluminium junction box is designed for the connection of 1 load cells.
Type No. of load cells Housing size Input Output
KA-1 1 64 x 98 x 34 mm 1x M16 1x M16
The junction box type KA-1 can be connected to the instrumentation with a shielded 6-wire signal cable.
Housing material: Aluminium Protection class: IP66 Cable connection: By screw terminals Corner correction: Not required
M
ECHANICAL INSTALLATION
Look for a mounting location which is more or less dry and protected from environmental stress.

OAD CELL CABLE CONNECTION
First the cable gland must be loosened. Then you have to feed the load cell cable through the cable gland unless the shrink tube is fully disappeared in the box. Afterwards the wires can get connected as follows (see also fig.2)
Cable coulour Description Terminal no., example yellow = Cable shield First ground screw
(if applicable, blue)* = Sense + 1* green = Excitation + (Input +) 2* white = Signal + (Output +) 3 red = Signal – (Output –) 4 black = Excitation – (Input –) 5**
(if applicable, brown)* = Sense – 6** * at load cells with 4-wire technology terminal no.1 and no.2 must get connected ** at load cells with 4-wire technology terminal no.5 and no.6 must get connected

After all conductors have been connected, the cable glands must be tightened. Please verify that all cable glands are tight and the cable is fully stress relieved.
O
UTPUT CABLE CONNECTION
The signal cable (connection between junction box and the following electronics) should be a 6 – wire shielded cable and has to be kept as short as possible. Depending on type and manufacturer signal cables may have different colours. Therefore make your own choice.
Cable colour, example Beschreibung / Lötpunktbezeichnung Terminal no., example
outer cable screen = Shield Second ground screw
yellow = Sense + 1
green = Excitation + (Input +) 2
white = Signal + (Output +) 3
pink = Signal – (Output –) 4
brown = Excitation – (Input –) 5
grey = Sense – 6
