Theplateinsertsupportsplatesandbowls.

Cutlery,smallkitchenutensils

andsomeplasticlidsarebest

placedintothecutlerybasket. Forbestwashperformance,we recommendloadingcutlerywith handlespointingdownandsharp utensilswiththeirhandlesfacing up,to reducetheriskof injury. Mix spoons,knivesandforks

within eachsection,to stop

cutlerynestingtogetherandto ensurethe water circulates

freely.Keepstainlesssteelfrom touchingsilvercutleryto avoid

staining.Usethe ovalslots (spoonrack)for spoonsand

teaspoons.Smallitems,like

Cups,glassesandkitchen utensilscanbeplacedonthe leftandright handsideofthe cupracks.Forbestperformance ensurethereareno largeitems

DishDrawer®.Ensurethatthereissufficientspaceandroomforthewatertoreachallareasparticularlythecupracks. Ifthereareanyitemsblockingthesprayarmpathorwashwater,thentheperformancewillbeineffective.

sharp or pointed items have not come through as

Thelargebowlis blockingwashwaterreachingthe cupracks.

Largeutensilsshouldbeoncup rackssotheydo notbecomedislodgedandstopthe

Thedetergentandrinseagentdispenseris locatedontheinsideof the DishDrawer'_, Thedetergentdispenserhastwo compartments,the prewashcompartmentis the smallerandthe other isfor themainwashdetergent.Theprewashandmain

washcompartmentsbothhavemarkingsonthe inside.Theprewashcompartmenthasonemarkingwhichrepresents1tsp, when it isfull, it holds2 tsp.The mainwashcompartmenthastwo markings,the lowestmarkindicates2 tsp, the middlemark4 tsp and

whenfull it contains6tsp.

The detergent dispenser is designed for use with

powdered detergent. Liquidand tablet detergents

How Much Rinse Agent to Use The regulator may need adjusting to suit your water conditions. The lowest setting is '1' and the highest is '5'. Refer to Option Adjustment Mode section to adjust the rinse agent setting. Ifthere is excessive foam at the end of the wash, reduce the setting. If dishes are wet or streaky after drying, increase the setting.

RinseAgent Indicator Light

Iftherinseagentindicatorlight is red,refillthe dispenser.Ifthe rinseagentindicatorlightis not

lit,thereisenoughrinseagent forthewash.

HardWater Situations

If youliveina hardwater situation,we recommendthe installationof a householdwater softenerto improvethewater quality,detergenteffectivenessandpreventthe buildupof calciumdepositsondishesandinthe DishDrawer®.

Certainbrandsofdishwasherdetergentcontainvaryingquantitiesofphosphates,whichhelp softenwater.Wesuggestyouusea detergentwith highphosphatecontentto improvethe

Soft Water Situations

Ifyouliveinanareaof naturallysoftwater oryourhouseholdwaterissoftened,avoidusingtoomuchdetergentin your DishDrawer®. Anexcessamountofdetergentisveryaggressiveonglasswareandmaycauseirreversibleetching.

Etchingisa chemicaldeteriorationthatoccursonthesurfaceof glasswarewhen it is subjectedto hightemperatures,toomuch detergentand/orsoftwater situations.Etchingis causedbya combinationof veryhot water,whichcausesthedetergentto become veryaggressive,butbecausethe water issoft,therearenowaterhardnessmineralionsfor the detergentto bindto, soit extracts mineralionsdirectlyfromthe glass.

Etchinglookslikerainbowcoloredfilm, as the glassis subjectedtofurtherwashingthesurfacewill eventuallyappearopaque.This typeofetchingisirreversible.

Topreventfurtheretchingfromoccurringonglasswareuselessdetergent(followtherecommendeddetergentquantitiesintheUser Guidefor softwater situations),andensurethedishwasheris not overloaded,so watercanreachall the dishesduringthewash.
