Hazardous Area Classifications and Special Instructions for “Safe
Use” and Installation in Hazardous Locations

Markings on the product may specify more than one approval, and each approval may have unique installation
requirements and/or conditions of “safe use”. These special instructions for “safe use” are in addition to, and may
override, the standard installation procedures. Special instructions are listed by approval.

Special Conditions of Use:

1. To prevent the risk of electrostatic sparking, the enclosure shall only be cleaned with a damp cloth.

2. Reader transmit power must be less than or equal to 1W.
