Replace parts within the Fisherr easy-Drive™ electric actuator gearbox only in situations outside of the warranty
period. This process is not covered under Emerson Process Management warranty and Emerson Process Management
cannot provide guidance on gearbox longevity following this procedure. For optimal results, a replacement gearbox
can be purchased from your Emerson Local Business Partner.
1. Ensure process conditions are in a safe state and that the valve is no longer controlling the process.
2. Command the actuator into a position such that the valve plug is off of the valve seat.
3. Disconnect all power and signals to the actuator at the sources. Always follow local and industry wiring practices.
4. Disconnect all wires from the actuator.
5. Remove the nut from the top of the valve stem. Insert a small screwdriver of similar through the stem to prevent
the valve stem from turning while removing the nut from the valve stem.
6. Removethe4boltsholdingthegearboxintheenclosureandremovethegearboxfromtheenclosure.
7. Secure the gearbox firmly, upside-down and remove the 6 screws and bottom plate.
8. Make note of the orientation of all parts within t he gearbox as the gears are removed. It is critical to replace all
shims and washers in the same position from which they were removed.
9. Replace all three Belleville washers per the diagram orientation,.
10. Use extra grease lubricant from within the gearbox housing and apply grease to the ACME screw threads.
11. Replace all parts in the original order.
