9 Beschreibung

9 Description
The CPS Gate is a multifunctional controller with PLC functionality. The CODESYS programming environment with comprehensive library functions runs on a high-performance processor core.
Numerous modern industrial and media interfaces make use possible in an Industry 4.0 environment. The controller, the sensors, the actuators, and the communication interfaces are combined in the CPS Gate and are located directly at the field application.
The device can be configured for the application via the wireless NFC interface using a mobile device. The RFID interface permits continuous reading/writing of information from/to the workpiece carrier. Furthermore, workpiece carriers can be coded with magnets which are detected by 4 integrated magnetic field sensors. The pneumatic stopper can stop the workpiece carriers and release them for further transport. The position of the stopper’s piston rod is detected by 2 further sensors.

Notes
– Unconnected pins 4 … 8 may not be used by the remote partner. – Based on the overall bus structure, check to determine whether or not an
external terminating resistor is required. As a rule, these terminating resistors are located at the beginning and the end of the bus cable. Resistance is typically 120 Ω. – Use a twisted 2-wire cable with shield for the CANopen bus.
Note
Faulty installation and high transmission rates may cause data transmission errors as a result of signal reflections and signal attenuation. Transmission errors can be caused by:
– Missing terminating resistor between CAN_L (pin 2) and CAN_H (pin 1) – Faulty shield connection – Branches – Large distances – Unsuitable cables

12 Magnetic field sensors
Four integrated magnetic field sensors for detecting the workpiece carrier are located on the top of the device. The positions of sensors -BE1 … -BE4 are identified. The magnets must be mounted so that the south pole points towards the sensor.
13 RFID
An RFID write/read unit (radio frequency identification) is integrated into the CPS Gate. It can be used to read a 13.56 MHz RFID tag (IEC 15693) which is mounted on the workpiece carrier.
The RFID antenna is located on top of the CPS Gate and is identified. The tags should be parallel to the top of the device at a distance of 1 to 30 mm in order to permit reliable reading/writing.
Note
The RFID module works with inductive signal coupling. Any type of metal located in proximity to the antenna influences signal transmission.
– Avoid positioning any metallic materials close to the antenna and the tag. – Avoid positioning more than one tag in close proximity to the antenna.

9 Description
