General Description
The FST3383 provides two sets of high-speed CMOS TTL­compatible bus switches. The low on resistance of the switch allows inputs to be connected to outputs without adding propagatio n delay or generating additi onal ground bounce noise. The device operates as a 10 -bit bus switch or a 5-bit bus exchange r. The bus exchange (BX ) signal provides nibble swapping of the AB and CD pairs of sig­nals. This exchange config uration allows byte swappin g of buses in systems. It can al so be used as a quad 2-to-1 multiplexer and to create low delay barr el shifters. The bus enable (BE
) signal turns the switches ON.
