5 MAINTENANCE

P

5.1 INTRODUCTION

Maintenance must be performed by skilled and authorised personnel.
Maintenance of the peripheral includes operations (inspections, tests, checks, adjustment and replacement) necessary as a result of normal use.
For good maintenance:
Only use original spare parts and tools suitable for the purpose and in good condition.
Observe the scheduled maintenance intervals indicated in the manual (preventive and periodic). The intervals shall be
understood to be the maximum acceptable and must therefore not be exceeded; shorter intervals may, of course, be used.
Good preventive maintenance requires constant attention and continuous monitoring of the peripheral. Promptly
ascertain the causes of any anomalies such as excessive noise, overheating, paper dust residue, etc. and resolve them.
Prompt removal of the possible causes of the fault or malfunction prevents further damage to the equipment and
guarantees operator safety.
If in doubt, you must not operate. Consult the manufacturer for the necessary clarications.
Peripheral maintenance is split into two main categories from an operational point of view:
Type Icon Denition
All those operations that the operator must carry out, in a preventive

Maintenance
Service
Maintenance
manner, to ensure the proper operation of the peripheral over time; routine maintenance includes inspection, control, adjustment and cleaning work.
All those operations which the technician must perform when the peripheral requires it. Service maintenance includes activities such as overhaul, repair, restoration of the rated operating conditions or replacement of a faulty, worn or defective assembly.
Each maintenance procedure illustrated and described herein contains an indication of the minimum skill level required to perform it.
FAAC S.p.A. disclaims any liability arising from the execution of maintenance procedures performed
by sta who do not hold the specied qualications.

5.2 SAFETY WARNINGS

Switch the peripheral o for maintenance activities.
The need to have the peripheral in operating conditions and/or with protection devices disabled requires adequate
skills and knowledge, and extreme caution on the part of the maintenance technician who must be adequately trained on the possible risks present.
Maintenance technicians are required to wear all personal protective equipment (gloves, goggles, overalls) necessary
for the operation to be performed.
Unauthorised personnel must remain outside the working area during maintenance.

P
The following table indicates the maintenance intervals within which you must perform the individual maintenance operations for each peripheral in use.
Maintenance operations specied for six-month intervals shall be carried out only by qualied service technicians of HUB
Parking Technology, who are properly trained and in possession of the necessary documentation.
The information specied below is given as a recommendation. The maintenance intervals depend signicantly on the conditions of use. In the event of visible signs of deterioration in operation,
or more frequently than normal use of the parking system, you should plan maintenance work at shorter intervals.
