Car Battery Installation
Unscrew the battery cover and pull the cover downward. Install 3 AA batteries (not included), making sure to match polarity (+ and -) with the diagram inside the battery compartment.
The legendary King Arthur brandished a magic sword, Excalibur, from which we take our company name. With this unique weapon in his hands, he could not be vanquished.
Although Excalibur Electronics can’t claim the magical secrets of Merlin, King Arthur’s court wizard, sometimes our patented technology may make it seem as if we could.

Transmitter Battery Installation & Assembly
Remove the battery cover by pushing carefully with your thumb and pulling downward. Install one 9V battery (not included), making sure to match the polarity (+ and -) with the diagram inside the battery compartment. Replace cover.
Battery Life
Extend the battery life by switching the unit off when not in use. Battery life affects how your car responds. When the transmitter range decreases, replace the batteries in the controller.
Interference
It is advisable not to use the vehicle close to high tension wires or CB radios. Interference from radio waves may affect the vehicle’s functioning.

Helpful Hints
• Avoid heat, water or wet surfaces, dusty surfaces or sand. Off-
road vehicles run easier on grassy surfaces.
• Avoid hard-impact collisions. Collisions against hard surfaces
may damage the vehicle.
• The vehicle cannot operate on thick carpets or dusty floors.
• If you wish to operate more than one vehicle at a time,
you must purchase another vehicle on another frequency.
• If the car does not respond to the transmitter, move closer
to the car and try again.
• If the car starts to lose power, performance may decrease.
If this happens, simply recharge your car again.
Note:
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to Part 15 of FCC Rules and R&TTE Directive 1999/5/EC. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference with radio communications.
However there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning equipment off and on, the user should try to corrct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
• Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
• Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
• Connect the equipment and the receiver into different outlets.
• Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
How to Race:
Your transmitter (remote control) features two joysticks. The one on the left moves up (forward) and down (backward) to control the forward and backward motion of the car. Press it up or down and hold to move your car. The joystick on the right moves to the right and left to control the turning of your car.
Troubleshooting:
If the vehicle does not move:
1. Are the battery contacts matched correctly in the transmitter?
2. Are the metal contact tabs touching, rusty or dirty in the transmitter?
3. Are there batteries in the transmitter?
4. Is the power switch on the transmitter turned On?
5. Are the batteries exhausted?
Range:
When the vehicle goes beyond radio signal contact, loss of con-
trol or slowness will occur. Extend the transmitting antenna higher for re-contact. Make sure the antenna is screwed on tightly.

Operation:
There is an OFF/ON switch on the transmitter and on the bottom of the car. (See illustrations at right and immediately below.) Turn both switches to “on”’ for power. Switch the vehicle and transmitter off after use. Remove all batteries for storage.
Note: Be careful when disconnecting the batteries, as improper handling may damage the unit.
Trim Switch Control:
The switch is located on the underside of the vehicle between the two front wheels. It is used to align the wheels so that vehicle drives consistently in a straight line. If your car turns when it should go straight, adjust it by turning the trim switch until the problem is eliminated.
Special Care & Handling
• Avoid rough handling such as bumping or dropping.
• Avoid moisture and extreme temperatures. For best results, use between the temperatures of 39ºF and 100ºF (4º C and 38º C) and keep away from fire.
• Avoid using the vehicle for long periods under direct sunlight.
Sunlight or excessive heat may damage electronic parts.
• Store the vehicle transmitter in a dry, cool place away from
heaters or warm areas.
Do not use cleaners with chemical agent. Clean using only slightly damp cloth. Then use a dry cloth to wipe off the mois ture. Dust, dirt, or other foreign objects can also be removed from your vehicle by using a brush or by tying a small bit of cloth to the tip of a toothpick or tweezers and using that to wipe off your car.
