Bedienungsanleitung
Die vorliegende Bedienungsanleitung wurde
so konzipiert, dass Sie Ihnen eine korrekte
Installation ermöglicht. Sie enthält Informatio­nen und grundsätzliche Vorgehensweisen für
die korrekte Funktionsweise des Produktes
und deren daran angeschlossenen externen
Geräte. Bitte lesen Sie die Bedienungsanlei­tung sorgfältig, bevor Sie mit der Installation
oder dem Anschluss des Subwoofers mit inte­griertem Verstärkermodul beginnen.

Operating Instructions
The current operational instructions are de­signed to ensure correct installation of the
amplier. They contain information and es­sential procedures for the correct operation of
the product and its attached external devices.
Please carefully study the operating instruc­tions before beginning with the installation or
the connection of the subwoofer with the acti-

Verpackung und Inhalt

Das M10 FLAT Subwoofer ist mit einem Gummi­einbauring versehen und in einem dafür konst­ruierten schützenden Karton verpackt. Beschä­digen Sie die Verpackung nicht und bewahren
Sie diese für die spätere Verwendung im Scha­densfalle auf. Kontrollieren Sie bei Erhalt des
Subwoofers, dass: Die Verpackung intakt ist,

der Inhalt den Spezikationen entspricht und

das Produkt keine Beschädigung aufweist. Bei
Fehlen oder Beschädigung von Teilen setzen
Sie sich bitte sofort mit Ihrem Händler in Ver­bindung. Geben Sie hierbei sowohl das Modell
als auch die Seriennummer des Subwoofers an.

The M10 FLAT subwoofer is tted with a rub­ber ring arround the basket and it is packed
into an especially constructed protecting car­ton. Do not damage the packing and store it
for future use in the case of possible dama-

ge. Upon receipt of the ampler module verify

that: The packing is not damaged, the cont­ents are according to specications, the pro­duct shows no obvious damage.In the case
of missing or damaged parts please contact
immediately your dealer providing the model
name as well as the serial number of the sub­woofer.

Werkzeuge Tools

Die nachfolgenden Werkzeuge werden für
den Einbau benötigt:

Geeignete Schrauben
Dichtmaterial: mitgelieferter

Einbau-Gummi-Ring o.ä.

HINWEIS: Wir empfehlen den Subwoofer mit­tels Einschraubmuffen / Einschlagmuttern o.ä.
fest zu verschrauben. Eine Abdichtung kann
mittels des mitgelieferten Gummi-Einbaurin­ges erfolgen oder mittels EPDM Dichtband /
Quellband. In jedemfalle ist auf eine feste und
luftdichte Montage zu achten.

We recommend to place the following

NOTE: We recommend screwing the subwoo­fer tightly by means of threaded sockets or si­milar. The subwoofer can be sealed with the
supplied rubber mounting ring or with EPDM
sealing tape / swelling tape. In any case, a

rm and airtight installation must be ensured.

Achtung! Entfernen Sie vor dem Einbau den
negativen Batteriepol, um Schäden am Gerät,
Feuer bzw. mögliche Verletzungen zu vermei­den. Dies ist nicht bei allen Fahrzeugen pro­blemlos möglich. Bitte informieren Sie sich in

Ihrer Fachwerkstatt oder nden Sie Hinweise

in der Fahrzeugbetriebsanleitung.

Hinweis: Die Installation und die Einstellung

des Subwoofers sollte nur von qualiziertem

Personal vorgenommen werden. Lesen Sie
die Bedienungsanleitung sorgfältig und folgen
Sie den darin gegebenen Hinweisen zum An­schluss und zur Einstellung des subwoofers.

Warnung! Bevor Sie externe Geräte anschlie­ßen, die nicht zur Verstärkereinheit gehören,
sollten Sie die entsprechenden Hinweise in der
Bedienungsanleitung dieses Gerätes beachten.

Warnung! Im Falle eines Defektes versuchen
Sie nicht den Subwoofer selbst zu reparieren.
Wenden Sie sich bei Bedarf ausschließlich an
Ihren ETON Fachhändler der den technischen
Kundendienst informieren wird. Jede unbefugte
Änderung bedeutet das Erlöschen des Garan­tieanspruchs.

Warnung! Der Subwoofer ist für den Einbau in
ein dafür vorgesehenes Subwoofer Gehäuse,
wie den ETON RES 10 A / P konzipiert, sowie
massive Selbstbaugehäuse. Wird der Subwoo­fer in ein anderes Subwoofergehäuse, z. B. ein
Eigenbau-Gehäuse eingebaut, muss auf eine
plane und dichte Auageäche geachtet wer­den. Die Luftdichtigkeit zum Gehäuse hin ist mit
Dichtband / Dichtstoffen herzustellen, welche
nicht die Funktion des Subwoofers beeinus­sen. Die Umgebungstemperatur kann zwischen
0° C und 60° C sein.

Caution! Before installation, disconnect the
battery negative (-) terminal to prevent da-

mage to the unit, re and/or possible injury.

This is not possible in every modern vehicle.
Please ask your carmaker or see your owners
handbook regarding battery change.

Note: The installation and adjustment of the
subwoofer should only be entrusted to quali­ed personnel. Please carefully read the ope­ration instructions and follow the given direc­tions regarding connection and adjustment of
the subwoofer.

Warning! Before connecting external devices

that do not belong to this amplier unit, please

refer to the corresponding directions contained
in the operation instructions for this device.

Warning! Under no circumstances should you
open the subwoofer or attempt any repairs. If
required contact your dealer to obtain technical
assistance. Unauthorized changes will result in
the cancellation of warranty.

Warning! The subwoofer is designed for ins­tallation in a dedicated subwoofer enclosure,
such as the ETON RES 10 A / P, as well as solid
self-construction enclosures. If the subwoofer is
installed in another subwoofer enclosure, e.g.

a self-constructed enclosure, a at and tight

contact surface must be ensured. The airtight­ness towards the cabinet must be achieved with

sealing tape / sealants which do not inuence

the function of the subwoofer. The ambient tem­perature can be between 0° C and 60° C. The

Vor dem Einbau Before Installation

Dieser Abschnitt konzentriert sich auf Erwä­gungen hinsichtlich des dafür vorgesehenen
Einbaus Ihres neuen Subwoofers in ein Sub­woofergehäuse.

Wenn Sie den Subwoofer in ein nicht dafür
vorgesehenes und freigegebenes Subwoofer­gehäuse von ETON einbauen möchten, prü­fen Sie zuvor ob die Platzverhältnisse ausrei­chend sind und Ihr Verstärker die technischen
Vorraussetzungen für den Betrieb mit dem
M10 FLAT Subwoofer aufweist.

Vor dem Einbau des Subwoofers prüfen Sie
bitte folgende Punkte:

1. Lesen Sie die Anleitung sorgfältig, bevor
Sie versuchen den Subwoofer einzubauen.

2. Prüfen Sie bei einem Fremdprodukt / Ei­genbaugehäuse, wo Sie den Subwoofer plat­zieren können. Sie müssen dafür eine Mon­tageöffnung mit geeigneten Mitteln herstellen,
die Öffnung sollte mit ausreichender Einbau-

tiefe und planer Auageäche sein.

If you wish to install the subwoofer in an
ETON subwoofer enclosure that has not been

approved for this purpose, rst check that
the available space is sufcient and that your
amplier meets the technical requirements for

use with the M10 FLAT subwoofer.

Please check the following points before ins­talling the subwoofer:

1. read the instructions carefully before instal­ling the subwoofer.

2. check where you can place the subwoofer
in the case of a third-party product / do-it-your­self enclosure. You have to create a mounting
opening with suitable means, the opening

should be with sufcient installation depth and
at support surface.

We recommend to brace the cabinet to ensure
the stability of the subwoofer box, we recom­mend a plate thickness of at least 20 mm. The
subwoofer has been designed for use in a clo­sed cabinet and is therefore less suitable for
