1 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the FR200/FR200G AM/FM/Shortwave
Radio – a perfect emergency radio and a great radio for daily use.
Its unique design allows it to be powered from a variety of sources:
1) From the built-in rechargeable Ni-MH rechargeable battery that
takes charge from the dynamo crank and from an AC adaptor (AC
adaptor only included with FR200G Model); 2) From 3 AA batteries;
3) From the AC adaptor alone (AC adaptor only included with
FR200G Model); 4) From the dynamo crank alone, even with no
battery pack installed.
Please carefully read this OPERATION MANUAL to take advantage
of the many features and excellent reception of local AM and FM
stations as well as international shortwave broadcasts from around
the world.
2 FEATURES
The FR200/FR200G AM/FM/Shortwave Radio is fully portable and
with many functions and features:
• Receives AM, FM, and international shortwave broadcasts
• Receives continuous shortwave frequency coverage from 3.2-22
megahertz, which includes the 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 31, 41, 49, 60,
75 and 90 meter bands
• Incorporates fine-tuning control knob superimposed on the main
tuning control knob
• Operates on power from four different sources: 1) From the built-in
rechargeable Ni-MH rechargeable battery that takes charge from
the dynamo crank and from an AC adaptor (AC adaptor only
included with FR200G Model); 2) From 3 AA batteries; 3) From
the AC adaptor alone (AC adaptor only included with FR200G
Model); 4) From the dynamo crank alone, even with no battery
pack installed
• Includes built-in emergency flashlight
• Plays quality audio from the 2 1/2 inch speaker
• Incorporates all built-in antennas: telescopic antenna for FM
and shortwave, and internal ferrite bar antenna for AM

4 CONNECTING POWER SOURCES
The rechargeable Ni-MH (nickel-metal-hydride) battery pack is
installed and fully charged at the factory. To use this radio with AC
power, an AC Adaptor is needed. When purchasing an AC Adaptor,
it must meet the following specifications:
Output of 4.5 volt DC; negative polarity; 80-100 milliamperes
current capability; plug tip outer diameter of 3.4 millimeter, inner
diameter of 1.3 millimeter.
For the FR200G Model, a proper AC Adaptor is included.
An AC Adaptor of 80-100 milliamperes, as noted above, should
charge the radio in approximately 8 hours, after which the adaptor
can be left plugged in if desired and the battery will not overcharge.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If using an AC adaptor rated higher than
80-100 milliamps, or one other than that included with the FR200G,
do not allow it to charge for more than two hours and unplug the
AC adaptor after charging. If using such an AC adaptor to continuously power the radio, unplug the internal rechargeable battery.
5 EXTERNAL POWER/RECHARGEABLE BATTERY
Plugging an AC adaptor (AC adaptor only included with FR200G
Model) into the DC 4.5 V socket on the back of the radio will
provide power for operation and will charge the Ni-MH battery pack.
To play the radio, set the POWER SELECTOR switch to the DYNAMO
ADAPTOR position. The Ni-MH battery pack will charge with the
POWER SELECTOR switch set in any of its positions.
6 AA BATTERY OPERATION
This radio is designed to operate on three AA batteries (not included).
Alkaline batteries should be used for longest playtime. Install the
batteries by removing the battery compartment cover and following
the battery polarity diagrams imprinted on the underside of the cover.
Remove the cover by simultaneously pressing on the indentation
labeled OPEN and pulling it down toward the bottom of the radio.
Turn the radio on by setting the POWER SELECTOR switch to the
BATTERY position.
NOTE: if an AC adaptor is in use, the AA batteries are switched
off automatically.
7 DYNAMO POWER
The Ni-MH battery pack can also be charged by turning the dynamo
crank following the instructions below:
1. Switch the power selector to the POWER OFF position.
2. Turn the dynamo-crank vigorously either clockwise or counter-
clockwise.The red charging LED will be lighted during charging.
NOTE: It can be charged while the radio is playing, however it does
not charge as efficiently, thus reducing playtime.
With hand-crank dynamo charging, radio operation time depends
on the number of turns and time per turn. On the average, 60-90
seconds of vigorous cranking results in about 40-60 minutes of radio
play at low volume, without light use. If the light is on while playing
the radio, the radio playtime will be dramatically reduced. The light
will always result in the Ni-MH battery discharging at a faster rate.

Even if no power source is available, including the Ni-MH battery
pack, the radio and the light can still be operated by continually
turning the dynamo crank. Set the POWER SELECTOR switch to
the DYNAMO ADAPTOR position.
9 OPERATION GUIDE
HOW TO TURN ON AND OFF
Turn it on by selecting a power source of your choice as described
above and then by setting the POWER SELECTOR switch to the
DYNAMO ADAPTOR or BATTERY position.
Turn it off by setting the POWER SELECTOR switch to the POWER OFF
position.
HOW TO ADJUST THE VOLUME
Turn the VOLUME control knob until the desired volume level is heard.
HOW TO TUNE-IN STATIONS
Set the band selector rotary switch to the FM, AM, SW1, or SW2
position. Tune stations in with the TUNING knob,using the superimposed FINE TUNING control as desired. For best FM and shortwave
reception, fully extend the telescopic antenna. FM reception can
often be improved by rotating the telescopic antenna. For AM
reception, the telescopic antenna need not be extended, as the AM
antenna is an internal, directional, ferrite bar antenna. For best AM
reception, rotate the radio until the best signal strength is achieved.
See the next section for how to optimize shortwave reception.

HOW TO OPTIMIZE SHORTWAVE RECEPTION
Being aware of the following information will help you get the best
results listening to shortwave.
• Shortwave reception is best around sunrise, sunset, and at night
• Night shortwave is usually superior to day shortwave reception
• During the day, frequencies above 13 MHz are usually best
• At night, frequencies below 13 MHz are usually best
• Around sunset and sunrise, the entire shortwave range may be good
• Getting very close to a window improves shortwave reception
• Holding the radio improves shortwave reception
HOW TO USE THE EMERGENCY LIGHT
Set the FLASHLIGHT to the ON position.
HOW TO USE THE EARPHONE JACK
Plug in a set of earphones (Earphones only included with FR200G
Model) of your choice that have a 1/8 inch mono or stereo plug.
When using earphones the built-in speaker will be switched off
automatically. Note that stereo earphones will work and sound will
be heard from both sides, although FM is not received in stereo.
10 PRECAUTIONS
1. Do not drop and keep away from fire.
2. Do not use abrasive powders to clean the cabinet.Wipe it with
a soft cloth moistened with a mild soap and water solution.
3. Do not leave the unit in a location near heat sources,or in a place
subject to direct sunlight, excessive dust or mechanical shock.
4. Do not use old and new batteries together or different brands and
types together.

5. Always remove the batteries from the radio when it is not going to
be used for a long time.This will prevent the batteries from leaking
inside the battery compartment.

Call for a Return Authorization prior to shipping your unit. Should
you want to return your unit for service, pack the receiver carefully
using the original carton or other suitable container. Write your
return address clearly on the shipping carton and on an enclosed
cover letter describing the service required, symptoms or problems.
Also, include your daytime telephone number and a copy of your
proof of purchase.The receiver will be serviced under the terms
of the Etón Limited Warranty and returned to you.
12 ONE YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Etón warrants to the original purchaser this product shall be free from
defects in material or workmanship for one year from the date of
original purchase.

During the warranty period Etón or an authorized Etón service facility
will provide, free of charge, both parts and labor necessary to correct
defects in material and workmanship.At their option, Etón may
replace a defective unit.
(1) Complete and send in the Warranty Registration Card within
ten (10) days of purchase.
(2) Call Etón or the nearest authorized service facility, as soon
as possible after discovery of a possible defect. Have ready:
(a) the model and serial number.
(b) the identity of the seller and the approximate date of purchase.
(c) a detailed description of the problem, including details on
the electrical connection to associated equipment and the list of
such equipment.
(3) Etón will issue a Return Authorization number and the address
to which the unit can be shipped. Ship the unit in its original
container or equivalent, fully insured and shipping charges prepaid.
Correct maintenance, repair, and use are important to obtain proper
performance from this product. Therefore carefully read the Instruction
Manual. This warranty does not apply to any defect that Etón
determines is due to:
(1) Improper maintenance or repair, including the installation of parts
or accessories that do not conform to the quality and specification
of the original parts.
(2) Misuse, abuse, neglect or improper installation.
(3) Accidental or intentional damage.
(4) Battery leakage.

All implied warranties, if any, including warranties of merchantability
and fitness for a particular purpose, terminate one (1) year from the
date of the original purchase.
The foregoing constitutes Etón entire obligation with respect to this
product, and the original purchaser shall have no other remedy and
no claim for incidental or consequential damages, losses, or expenses.
Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty
lasts or do not allow the exclusions or limitation of incidental or
consequential damages, so the above limitation and exclusion may
not apply to you.

other rights which vary from state to state.

Nous vous remercions de votre achat du récepteur AM / FM / à ondes
courtes FR200/FR200G – une radio de secours parfaite et une excellente radio à utiliser tous les jours. Sa conception unique lui permet
d’être alimenté à partir de plusieurs sources : 1) à partir de la batterie
rechargeable Ni-MH intégrée qui se charge avec la manivelle du
générateur et un adaptateur CA (l’adaptateur CA est seulement compris
avec le modèle FR200G) ; 2) à partir de 3 piles AA ; 3) à partir de

DE LA BATTERIE NI-MH
La bloc-piles rechargeable Ni-MH (nickel-métal-hydrure) est installé
et totalement chargé à l’usine. Pour utiliser de récepteur sous alimentation CA, un adaptateur CA est nécessaire. Lorsque vous achetez
un adaptateur CA, il doit satisfaire les spécifications suivantes :
Sortie de 4,5 volt en c.c. ; polarité négative ; capacité de courant de
80 à 100 milliampères ; diamètre externe du bout de la fiche de 3,4
millimètres, diamètre interieur de 1,3 millimètres.
Un adaptateur CA correct est compris avec le modèle FR200G.
Un adaptateur CA de 80 à 100 milliampères doit, comme indiqué
ci-dessus, charger la radio en 8 heures environ, après quoi l’adaptateur peut être laissé branché dans la radio si vous le désirez, sans
danger de surcharge de la pile.
REMARQUE IMPORTANTE : Si vous utilisez un adaptateur CA
évalué à plus de 80 à 100 milliampères ou un adaptateur autre que
celui qui est compris avec le FR200G, ne le laissez pas charger la
batterie pendant plus de deux heures, et débranchez l’adaptateur
CA après avoir fini de charger. Si vous utilisez un tel adaptateur
CA pour alimenter la radio en continu, débranchez la batterie
rechargeable interne.
Un adaptateur CA (un adaptateur CA est seulement compris avec l
e modèle FR200G) branché dans la prise de 4,5 V en c.c. à l’arrière
du récepteur alimentera le récepteur et chargera le bloc-piles Ni-MH.
Pour faire fonctionner la radio, mettez le commutateur POWER
SELECTOR sur la position DYNAMO ADAPTATOR. Le bloc-piles Ni-MH
se chargera pendant que le commutateur POWER SELECTOR est sur
une position quelconque.
7 FONCTIONNEMENT SOUS LES PILES AA
Le FR200 est conçu pour être utilisé avec trois piles AA (non comprises).
Pour obtenir le temps d’utilisation le plus long possible, utilisez
des piles alcalines. Installez les piles en enlevant le couvercle du
compartiment des piles et en suivant les diagrammes de polarité
de pile imprimés au dos du couvercle. Enlevez le couvercle en
appuyant sur l’indentation étiquettée OPEN et en le tirant au même
moment vers le fond du récepteur. Allumez le récepteur en mettant
le commutateur POWER SELECTOR sur la position BATTERY.
REMARQUE : si un adaptateur CA est utilisé, les piles AA seront
immédiatement mises hors circuit.

Le bloc-piles Ni-MH peut également être chargé en tournant
la manivelle de générateur selon les instructions ci-dessous :

1. Mettez le sélectionneur d’alimentation sur la position POWER OFF.
2. Tournez la manivelle du générateur avec vigueur, dans le sens
des aiguilles d’une montre ou dans le sens inverse. Le voyant
DEL rouge de chargement s’allumera pendant le chargement.
REMARQUE : Il peut être chargé pendant que la radio est utilisée,
cependant il ne se chargera pas de manière aussi efficace, ce qui
réduira le temps d’utilisation.
Si vous chargez manuellement le bloc-piles avec la manivelle du
générateur, le temps d’utilisation du récepteur dépendra du nombre
de tours de manivelle et de la durée de chaque tour. En moyenne,
60 à 90 secondes de tours vigoureux de manivelle permettront
environ 40 à 60 minutes de temps d’utilisation sous volume bas,
sans utilisation de la lampe. Si la lampe est allumée pendant que
vous utilisez la radio, le temps d’utilisation sera fortement diminué.
L’utilisation de la lampe provoquera toujours une déchargement plus
rapide de la batterie Ni-MH.

9 UTILISATION EN SITUATION D’URGENCE
Même si aucune source d’alimentation n’est disponible, y compris
le bloc-piles Ni-MH, le récepteur et la lampe peuvent quand même
être utilisés en tournant la manivelle du générateur de manière
continue. Mettez le commutateur POWER SELECTOR sur la position
DYNAMO ADAPTATOR.

COMMENT ALLUMER ET ÉTEINDRE LE FR200
Allumez-le en sélectionnant la source d’alimentation de votre choix
de la manière indiquée ci-dessus, puis en mettant le commutateur
POWER SELECTOR sur la position DYMANO ADAPTOR ou BATTERY.
Éteignez-le en mettant le commutateur POWER SELECTOR sur la
position POWER OFF.
COMMENT AJUSTER LE VOLUME
Tournez le bouton de commande VOLUME jusqu’à ce que vous
entendiez le niveau de volume voulu.
COMMENT SYNTONISER LES STATIONS
Mettez le commutateur rotatif de bandes de fréquences sur la position
FM, AM, SW1 ou SW2. Syntonisez les station à l’aide du bouton
TUNING, en utilisant la commande FINE TUNING superposée si vous
le voulez. Pour obtenir la meilleure réception FM et ondes courtes,
déployez complètement l’antenne télescopique. La réception FM peut
souvent être améliorée en faisant tourner l’antenne télescopique.
Pour la réception AM, il n’est pas nécessaire de déployer l’antenne
télescopique car l’antenne AM est une antenne barre de ferrite qui
est interne et directionnelle. Pour obtenir le meilleure réception AM,
faites tourner la radio jusqu’à ce que vous obteniez la meilleure
puissance de signal. Lisez la section suivante pour l’optimisation
de la réception ondes courtes.
COMMENT OPTIMISER LA RÉCEPTION ONDES COURTES
Le conseils suivants vous permettront d’obtenir les meilleurs résultats
possibles lorsque vous écoutez des émissions ondes courtes.
• La réception ondes courtes est la meilleure possible pendant
le lever et le coucher du soleil, et la nuit.

• La réception ondes courtes est généralement meilleure pendant
la nuit que pendant le jour.
• Pendant le jour, les fréquences supérieures à 13 MHz sont
généralement les meilleures
• Pendant la nuit, les fréquences inférieures à 13 MHz sont
généralement les meilleures
• Pendant le coucher et le lever du soleil, toute la gamme des ondes
courtes peut être bonne

COMMENT UTILISER LA LAMPE D’ÉCLAIRAGE
DE SECOURS
Mettez le commutateur FLASHLIGHT sur la position ON.
COMMENT UTILISER LA PRISE D’ÉCOUTEUR
Branchez une paire d’écouteurs (les écouteurs sont seulement
compris avec le modèle FR200G) de votre choix qui ont une prise
mono ou stéréo de 1/8 de pouce. Lorsque vous utilisez des écouteurs, le haut-parleur intégré sera mis automatiquement hors circuit.
Remarquez que les écouteurs stéréo fonctionneront et que vous

Etón garantit à l’acheteur initial que ce produit sera exempt de tout
défaut de matériau ou de main-d’oeuvre pendant une année à partir
de la date de l’achat initial.
Pendant la durée de la garantie, Etón ou un centre accrédité de
réparation Etón fournira, gratuitement, les pièces et la main-d’oeuvre
nécessaires pour corriger les vices de matériau et de main-d’oeuvre.
En outre, Etón peut choisir de remplacer un appareil défectueux.

1 INTRODUCTION
Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich für das FR200 / FR200G UKW/MW/KW Radio entschieden haben. Dieses Radio ist bestens für Notfälle
geeignet und ist auch im täglichen Gebrauch außerordentlich nützlich.
Durch sein einzigartiges Design kann das Radio über verschiedene
Stromquellen angetrieben werden. 1) Über den eingebauten wiederaufladbaren Ni-MH -Akku, der durch die Dynamokurbel oder ein Netzteil
aufgeladen werden kann (das Netzteil wird nur mit dem Modell
FR200G mitgeliefert); 2) Über 3 AA-Batterien; 3) Nur über das Netzteil
(das Netzteil wird nur mit dem Modell FR200G mitgeliefert); 4) Nur
über die Dynamo-Kurbel, selbst wenn kein Akku eingesetzt ist.

2 FUNKTIONEN
Das FR200 / FR200G UKW/MW/Kurzwellen -Radio ist tragbar und
verfügt über viele Funktionen und Eigenschaften.
• Empfang von UKW, MW und internationaler Kurzwellensender
• Kontinuierlicher Empfang von Kurzwellenfrequenzen im Bereich
von 3,2 bis 22 Megahertz, der die Bänder 13, 16, 19, 22, 25,
31, 41, 49, 60, 75 und 90 Meter beinhaltet
• Ein Knopf zur Feineinstellung, der auf den Knopf zur Haupt-
Sendereinstellung aufgelagert ist
• Möglicher Betrieb über vier verschiedenen Stromquellen: 1) Über

DER BATTERIEN
Der wiederaufladbare Ni- MH (Nickel- Metallhydrid) -Akku wird vom
Hersteller eingesetzt und vollständig aufgeladen. Für den Gebrauch
dieses Radios mit Wechselstrom ist ein Netzteil erforderlich. Beim
Kauf eines Netzteils muss auf die folgenden Spezifikationen geachtet
werden:
Ausgabe von 4,5 Volt GS, negative Polarität; Kapazität von 80-100
mA; Außendurchmesser der Steckerspitze 3,5 mm, Innendurchmesser
1,3 mm.
Mit dem Modell FR200G wird ein geeignetes Netzteil mitgeliefert.
Ein Netzteil von 80 bis 100 mA (siehe oben), sollte das Radio
in ungefähr 8 Stunden aufladen. Wenn erwünscht, kann das Netzteil
danach eingesteckt bleiben, ohne dass die Batterien überladen
werden.
WICHTIGER HINWEIS: Wenn ein Netzteil mit mehr als 80 bis 100
mA verwendet wird, oder ein Netzteil, das nicht mit dem FR200G
mitgeliefert wurde, den Akku nicht länger als zwei Stunden aufladen
lassen und das Netzteil nach dem Aufladen herausziehen.Wenn ein
derartiges Netzteil als kontinuierliche Stromquelle für das Radio
verwendet wird, den Stecker des internen wiederaufladbaren Akku
ziehen.
Durch das Einstecken eines Netzteils in die GS-Buchse für 4,5 V
auf der Rückseite des Radios (ein Netzteil wird nur mit dem Modell
FG200G mitgeliefert) wird Strom für den Betrieb des Radios und zum
Aufladen des NI-MH -Akkus geliefert. Zum Einschalten des Radios
den Schalter STROMZUFUHRWAHL in die Stellung DYNAMO / NETZTEIL
bringen. Der Ni-MH -Akku wird in allen Stellungen des Schalters
STROMZUFUHRWAHL geladen.
7 BETRIIEB MIT AA -BATTERIEN
Das Radio kann mit drei AA -Batterien betrieben werden (nicht
mitgeliefert). Um eine möglichst lange Spielzeit zu erreichen, sollten
Alkalibatterien verwendet werden. Die Abdeckung des Batteriefachs
abnehmen und die Batterien einsetzen. Dabei den
Polaritätsdiagrammen folgen, die auf der Unterseite der Abdeckung
abgebildet sind. Zum Abnehmen der Abdeckung des Batteriefachs
beide Aussparungen mit der Bezeichnung ÖFFNEN drücken und die
Abdeckung in Richtung der Unterseite des Radis ziehen. Das Radio
einschalten, indem der Schalter STROMZUFUHRWAHL auf die Stellung
BATTERIE gebracht wird.
HINWEIS: Wenn ein Netzteil verwendet wird, werden die AA -
Batterien automatisch abgeschaltet.

Der Ni-MH -Akku kann auch durch das Drehen der Dynamokurbel
geladen werden. Dazu den Anleitungen unten folgen:
1. Den Schalter zur Stromzufuhrwahl in die Stellung STROM AUS bringen.
2. Die Dynamo-Kurbel kräftig entweder im oder gegen den
Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Während des Aufladens leuchtet die rote
Ladungs-LED.
HINWEIS: Das Aufladen kann erfolgen, während das Radio in Betrieb
ist. Die Wirksamkeit ist dann jedoch geringer und die Spielzeit verkürzt
sich daher.
Beim Aufladen über den Dynamo hängt die Betriebszeit von der
Anzahl und der Geschwindigkeit der Drehungen ab. Im Durchschnitt
bewirkt ein kräftiges Drehen für 60 bis 90 Sekunden eine Spielzeit
des Radios für 40 bis 60 Minuten bei geringer Lautstärke, wenn das
Licht nicht eingeschaltet ist. Wenn das Licht eingeschaltet ist, während
das Radio spielt, wird die Spielzeit bedeutend herabgesetzt. Das Licht
bewirkt immer, dass sich der Ni-MH -Akku schneller entlädt.
9 EINSATZ IN NOTFÄLLEN
Selbst, wenn keine Stromquelle zur Verfügung steht, auch nicht der
Ni-MH -Akku, können das Radio und das Licht trotzdem betrieben
werden, wenn die Dynamo-Kurbel ständig gedreht wird. Den Schalter
STROMZUFUHRWAHL in die Stellung DYNAMO / NETZTEIL bringen.

EIN- UND AUSSCHALTEN
Wie oben beschrieben eine Stromquelle wählen und dann den
Schalter STROMZUFUHRWAHL in die Stellung DYNAMO / NETZTEIL
oder BATTERIE bringen. Dadurch wird das Radio eingeschaltet.
Das Radio wird ausschaltet, indem der Schalter STROMZUFUHRWAHL
auf die Stellung STROM AUS gebracht wird.
REGELUNG DER LAUTSTÄRKE
Den Knopf LAUTSTÄRKE drehen, bis die erwünschte Lautstärke
erreicht ist.
EINSTELLEN VON SENDERN
Den Drehknopf zur Bandwahl in die Stellung UKW, MW, KW 1 oder
KW 2 bringen. Sender können mit dem Knopf SENDER gefunden werden, wobei der aufgelagerte Knopf zur Feineinstellung nach Bedarf
eingesetzt werden kann. Zum besten Empfang von UKW und KW die
teleskopische Antenne vollständig ausziehen. Der UKW-Empfang kann
oft durch Drehen der teleskopischen Antenne verbessert werden. Zum
MW-Empfang ist es nicht notwendig, die teleskopische Antenne
auszuziehen, da hierfür eine interne Ferrit- Richtantenne verwendet
wird. Für besten MW-Empfangs das Radio drehen, bis die beste
Signalstärke erreicht ist. Hinweise zur Verbesserung des
Kurzwellenempfangs befinden sich im nächsten Abschnitt.
OPTIMIERUNG DES KURZWELLENEMPFANGS
Wenn Sie die folgenden Informationen berücksichtigen, werden Sie
beste Ergebnisse für den Kurzwellenempfang haben.
• Der Kurzwellenempfang ist gegen Sonnenauf- und -untergang und
während der Nacht am besten. Der Empfang der Kurzwelle während
der Nacht ist normalerweise besser als während des Tages. Während

des Tages sind gewöhnlich Frequenzen über 13 mHz am besten
• In der Nacht sind gewöhnlich Frequenzen unter 13 mHz am besten.
Gegen Sonnenuntergang und Sonnenaufgang kann der ganze
Kurzwellenbereich gut sein.
• Der Kurzwellenempfang verbessert sich wesentlich, wenn man sich
sehr nahe an ein Fenster stellt. Der Kurzwellenempfang verbessert
sich auch, wenn man das Radio in den Händen hält.
BEDIENUNG DES NOTLICHTS
Die TASCHENLAMPE auf die Stellung EIN bringen.
KOPFHÖRERBUCHSE
Einen Kopfhörer Ihrer Wahl (Kopfhörer werden nur mit dem Modell
FR200G mitgeliefert) einstecken, die einen Mono- oder Stereo-Stecker
von 1/8-Zoll haben. Beim Gebrauch von Kopfhörern wird der eingebaute Lautsprecher automatisch abgeschaltet. Anmerkung: Mit
Stereo-Kopfhörern wird der Klang auf beide Seiten übertragen, auch
wenn UKW nicht in Stereo empfangen wird.

11 VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN
1. Nicht fallen lassen oder in die Nähe von Feuer bringen.
2. Zum Reinigen des Gehäuses keine Scheuermittel verwenden.
Mit einem weichen Tuch und einer Lösung aus mildem
Reinigungsmittel und Wasser abwischen.
3. Das Gerät nicht in der Nähe von Hitzequellen aufstellen und
keinem direkten Sonnenlicht, übermäßigem Staub oder
mechanischen Stößen aussetzen.
VORSICHTSMASSNAHMEN
4. Keine alten Batterien zusammen mit neuen Batterien oder
Batterien verschiedener Marken oder Typen gleichzeitig verwenden.
Wenn das Radio für längere Zeit nicht gebraucht wird, immer die
Batterien entnehmen. Dadurch wird verhindert, dass die Batterien
innerhalb des Batteriefachs auslaufen.

Vor dem Einschicken des Geräts per Telefon eine
Rückgabegenehmigung anfordern. Wenn Sie Ihr Gerät zur Wartung
einschicken möchten, den Empfänger sorgfältig im Originalkarton
oder einen anderen geeigneten Behälter verpacken. Den Absender
deutlich auf dem Verpackungskarton und einem beigelegten
Begleitschreiben angeben. In dem Schreiben sollte die Art der
notwendigen Wartung, die Symptome oder die Probleme erwähnt
werden. Auch eine Telefonnummer angeben, unter der Sie tagsüber
zu erreichen sind, sowie eine Kopie des Kaufnachweises. Der
Empfänger wird unter den Bedingungen der eingeschränkten
Garantie von Etón gewartet und an Sie zurückgeschickt.

Etón garantiert dem ursprünglichen Käufer, dass dieses Produkt frei
von Material- oder Verarbeitungsmängeln ist. Diese Garantie gilt für
ein Jahr ab Kaufdatum.
Während der Garantieperiode stellt Etón oder eine von Etón
autorisierte Servicestelle kostenlos Teile und Arbeitszeit bereit, die zur
Behebung von Material- und Verarbeitungsmängeln notwendig sind.
Etón kann ein schadhaftes Gerät nach eigenem Ermessen ersetzen.
(1) Füllen Sie die Garantie-Registrierungskarte innerhalb von zehn
(10) Tagen nach Kauf aus.
(2) Rufen Sie Etón oder die nächste Servicestelle sobald wie möglich
an, wenn Sie einen Mangel feststellen. Halten Sie Folgendes bereit:
(a) Modell und Seriennummer.
(b) Namen des Händlers und das ungefähre Kaufdatum.
(c) Eine genaue Beschreibung des Problems, einschließlich Details
über die elektrischen Verbindungen zu anderen Geräten und eine
Liste dieser Geräte.
(3) Etón stellt eine Rückgabegenehmigungsnummer aus und teilt
die Adresse mit, an die das Gerät geschickt werden kann. Das
Gerät im Originalkarton oder einem anderen geeigneten Behälter
schicken. Eine volle Versicherung abschließen und das Porto im
Voraus bezahlen.
Eine sachgemäße Wartung, Reparatur und der richtige Gebrauch sind
wichtig, damit das Gerät eine entsprechende Leistung bringen kann.
Lesen Sie daher die Gebrauchsanleitung sorgfältig. Diese Garantie gilt
für keine Schäden, die nach Ermessen von Etón auf folgende Gründe
zurückzuführen sind:

Garantien der Marktfähigkeit und der Eignung für einen bestimmten
Zweck, laufen ein (1) Jahr nach dem ursprünglichen Kaufdatum aus.
Das oben Erwähnte stellt die vollständige Verpflichtung von Etón
bezüglich dieses Produkts dar. Der ursprüngliche Käufer ist zu keiner
anderen Behebung berechtigt und hat keinen Anspruch für zufällige
oder Folgeschäden,Verluste oder Ausgaben. In manchen Staaten ist
eine Beschränkung der Länge stillschweigender Garantien oder der
