The Source Four XT HID Zoom Half Shield is used to provide glare control at specific angles to the fixture.

The Half Shield can be mounted in four positions on the front of the fixture. It can also be combined with the External
Media Holder. In this case, the Half Shield is installed last. The Half Shield is provided with four stainless steel hex screws
for attaching to the fixture.

To install the Half Shield:

Step 1: Face the shallow side of the shield toward the object you are trying light, with the tallest side of the shield

providing glare control away from the lighted object.

Step 2: Align the Half Shield with the four mounting holes on the front ring of the fixture. Refer to the illustration on the

next page.

Step 3: Secure the Half Shield with the four hex screws.

Half Shield Without other Accessories

To install the Half Shield with the External Media Holder:

Step 1: Position the External Media Holder on the front ring of the fixture.
Step 2: Face the shallow side of the Half Shield toward the object you are trying light, with the tallest side of the shield

providing glare control away from the lighted object.

Step 3: Align the Half Shield and External Media Holder screw holes with the four mounting holes on the front ring of

the fixture.

Step 4: Secure the Half Shield and External Media Holder with the four hex screws.
