Check ink levels

■ Ink refill

Ink level is more than 70mm:
Recommends to continue using the
printer until the ink level reaches
70mm from the bottom.

Ink level is about or less than 70mm:
Go to step 2.

Replace chip unit with
new one attached
new ink pack.

Refill ink.

-Use up all ink in the pack at a time.
(No remaining)

When this message appears,
check ink level of the tank
which is indicated by .

Shake the new ink pack as shown
in the illustration horizontally for
approximately 5cm left and right
for 5seconds approximately
15times.

< Caution >

Always wear gloves for assembly to avoid injury from sharp
metal edges.

When handling the ink packs
Wear protective eyewear, gloves, and mask when performing
maintenance.

After 100units,
This screws will be changed

Assembly (Stand)

It is recommended to assemble the stand by a group of three.

Give the screws shown
in the figure a couple of
turns to fasten the
parts temporarily. The
items in the following
steps can not be
attached if the
screws are too tight.

Before using the
printer, be sure
the stand is
fixed in place.
When moving
the printer,
unlock the
casters.

Set the plate to the Stand Right

You must set this plate before placing main unit on the stand.

Set hex 2pcs bolts temporarily.

When carrying the printer, use at least 4 persons.

When lifting the printer unit, only hold the highlighted area. Otherwise, it may
affect normal operation and printing.

Setting the Ink Support Assy.

1. Hook the plate into the holes.

2. Tighten 10 screws.

1. Loosen 2 screws and make sure the plate is low.

2. Loosen 4 screws and make sure the plates to be able to move up/low and left/right.

1. Tighten 2 long screws temporarily.

2. Make sure the color index on the plate and Put each CSIC on each slider.

3. Set only Cyan and Black Ink Tanks into Ink Holder as the same order as the
color index.

1. Raise the plate softly and

2. Insert 2pcs thickness-gauges(2.0mm)
at 2 locations (Black and Cyan)
with raising the tanks.

1. Tighten Right Long Screw until the thickness(2.0mm) gauges can be moved smoothly

at 2 locations(Black and Cyan).

2. Tighten Left Long Screw as the same as the right one.

1. Tighten Right Long Screw until the thickness(2.0mm) gauges can be
moved smoothly, AGAIN

at 2 locations(Black and Cyan).

2. Tighten Left Long Screw as the same as the right one.

1. Make sure thickness-gauge(2.0mm) can be passed and
thickness-gauge(2.5mm) can’t be passed AGAIN at 2 locations (Black and Cyan).

1. Pass the tube through 2 clamps.

Make sure the lower clamp is

between 2 INSULOKs.

1. Shake all ink packs before ink filling ink tank.

（Horizontal :5cm (both side) 15times/5sec.

2. Cut the pour spot of ink pack by scissors.

Don’t cut deeply. Because
this position is guide when
pure the ink.

FW update

After filling all ink as pictures, please turn on printer by FW update mode.

Please do NOT turn on printer before filling all inks!

1)Please check the CURRENT FW version.

2)Please update the latest FW. (Printer turn off automatically.)

3)Please turn on the printer by FW update mode again.

4)Please check the FW version which you updated. If OK, please turn off printer.

Ink charge

1. Power ON (Normal mode) 2. Set the printer setting (Language, Calendar etc.)

3. Start Ink Charge after making sure waste ink bottle was set.

While Ink charging, don’t touch the printer and covers.
Because some bad influence for ink charge process.

Nozzle check

Check the nozzle check pattern.

If you find the nozzle missing, please do cleaning (CL1 or CL2 or CL3).

Reference :When you can not proceed ink charge,

check the ILS sensor.

1. Turn ON “Service man mode” [Menu]+[ ]+[OK]
