Macintosh OS X 10.2 Users

Read This First

If you’re using Apple® Macintosh OS X version 10.2, you need to download and install a new version of the TWAIN driver for use in OS X 10.2 Native mode instead of the driver that comes on your EPSON Stylus CX CD-ROM.

Follow the instructions on the Start Here sheet and in the Macintosh Software Installation booklet that came with your EPSON Stylus CX to set up the Stylus CX and install the basic Stylus CX printer software. However, follow the steps

below instead when you come to the instructions titled “Installing Additional Software for Mac OS X.”

Installing Additional Software for OS X

1. After your Macintosh restarts, double-click the EPSON CD-ROM icon to open it, if necessary.

Do not install EPSON TWAIN 5 from the CD-ROM.

Do not install EPSON Scan to File from the CD-ROM.

2. Double-click the for OS X. Follow the on-screen instructions.

Downloading and Installing TWAIN 5.75

1. To access EPSON’s support site to download the latest software for your EPSON Stylus CX, open your browser and go to http://support.epson.com.

2. Click

Drivers & Downloads, then select All-In-One under Printers.

3. Select your Stylus CX model. A list of available software downloads appears.

4. Scroll down to titled

TWAIN Driver 5.75A.

5. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the TWAIN driver.

6. Now start up your Macintosh in OS 9.x. Follow the instructions in your Macintosh Software Installation booklet to install the OS 9.x drivers and additional software.

Note: The TWAIN 5.75 driver is not designed to work with earlier versions of OS X; you can’t scan using TWAIN 5.75 on OS X 10.1.x or earlier.
