This section presents important information intended to ensure safe
and effectiv e use of this product. Please read this section ca refully and
store it in an accessible location.

Key to Symbols

The symbols in this manual are identified by their level of importance,
as defined below. Read the following carefully before hand ling the
product.

DANGER:

Dangers must be observed carefully to avoid serious injury or
death.

WARNING:

Warnings must be observed carefully to avoid serious bodily
injury.

CAUTION:

Cautions must be observed to avoid minor injury to yourself
or damage to your equipment.

DANGER:

Do not expose the battery to fire or heat it. This may cause
fire, explosion, leakage, overheating or damage.
Never leave the battery where the temperature may
exceed 60°C (140°F) such as in a car parked in the sun or
under direct sunligh t. This may cause fire, expl osion, leaka ge,
overheating or damage.
Do not solder lead wires or terminals directly onto the
battery, disassemble or modify it. This may cause fire,
explosion, leakage, overheating or damage.
Do not connect the plus and minus terminals together. This
may cause fire, overheating or electric shock.
Do not connect the battery directly to a power outlet or the
cigarette lighter of an automobile. This may cause fire,
explosion, leakage, overheating or damage.
Do not insert the battery with its plus and minus terminals
reversed. If you cannot insert the battery smoothly, do not
force it. This may cause fire, explosion, leakage, overheating
or damage.
If any liquid from the battery gets into your eyes, promptly
wash it out with clean water for more than 10 minutes and
consult your doctor at once. If you do not, the liquid may
cause loss of eyesight.

WARNING:

Keep the battery out of the reach of children to avoid harm
to the children.
Charge the battery either with the OT-CH60 battery charger
or by using the PS-10 AC adapter to supply power to the TM­P60 printer. Using a charger other than the one specified
may cause fire, explosion, leakage, overheating or other
damage.
Unplug the charger if charging is still incomplete after the
specified time it should take. Continuing to charge the
battery may cause fire, explosion or overheating.
Do not expose the battery to water. Do not allow water to
contact the terminals. This may cause fire, overheating or
electric shock.
Do not hit or throw the battery. This may cause explosion or
overheating.
Do not use the battery if you find something wrong with it
such as leakage, color change or deformity. Using the
charger may cause fire, explosion or overheating.
Keep the battery away from fire or flame if it produces a
strange odor or leakage. Otherwise fire or explosion may
occur.
Should any battery liquid get on skin or clothing, promptly
wash it off with clean water. If you do not, the liquid may
damage your skin or clothing.
Do not short the plus and minus terminals with any metal
objects such as a necklace. This may cause overheating or
leakage, which lead to burn or injury.

CAUTION:

LIP-2500 lithium-ion batteries are exclusively for use with the
TM-P60 printer. Do not use them with other equipment.
Before using the battery, make sure that its terminals are
clean. Unclean terminals may not allow current to flow.
Do not touch the battery right after using it for a long time. It
will be hot and may burn you.

Best Way to Use Battery
Pack

❏

Take care not to allow dust or dirt into the
terminal holes ("B" in the illustration) and
keep the terminals clean. Completely remove any accumulated dust in
the terminal holes by using a pointed stick that is not too hard; then
attach and remove the battery a few times.

The battery is discharged gradually even if it is not used. We
recommend charging it a couple of days before use.

❏

To ensure the maximum number of chargings and dischargings, we
recommend storing the battery in a cool place and charging it when
the temperature is between 10 to 30°C (50 to 86°F).

❏

At lower temperatures, b elow 10°C (50°F), the available battery life
becomes short.

Note: Charging while some capacity remains does not affect the original
capacity.

If the battery life is remarkably short, the battery may have expired. You
should replace the battery with a new one.

Falls Flüssigkeit aus der Batterie in Ihre Augen gelangt, das
betroffene Auge sofort mindestens 10 Minuten mit sauberem
Wasser ausspülen und sofort einen Arzt zu Rate ziehen.
Andernfalls kann die Flüssigkeit eine Einbuße der Sehfähigkeit
verursachen.

WARNUNG:

Die Batterie von Kindern fernhalten, um deren Gesundheit
und Sicherheit nicht zu gefährden.
Zum Aufladen des Akkus nur das Ladegerät OT-CH60
verwenden, oder den Akku am Drucker TM-P60 unter
Verwendung des Stromadapters PS-10 aufladen. Bei
Benutzung anderer Ladegeräte besteht Überhitzungs-,
Brand- bzw. Explosionsgefahr, und das Risiko anderer
Schäden.

Den Stecker des Ladegeräts abziehen, wenn der
Ladevorgang die vorgesehene Zeit überschreitet. Durch
weiteres Laden der Batterie entsteht Feuer-, Explosions- und
Überhitzungsgefahr.
Wasser von der Batterie fernhalten. Kein Wasser auf die
Anschlusspole bringen. Andernfalls besteht Feuer-,
Überhitzungs- und Stromschlaggefahr.
Nicht auf die Batterie schlagen und diese nicht werfen.
Andernfalls besteht Explosions- und Überhitzungsgefahr.
Die Ba tterie nicht verwenden, wenn offensichtliche Schäden
festgestellt werden, z.B. Auslaufen, Farbveränderungen oder
Verformung. Durch Verwendung des Ladegeräts entsteht
Feuer-, Explosions- und Überhitzungsgefahr.
Wenn die Batterie einen eigenartigen Geruch entwickelt
oder ausläuft, von Feuer und offenen Flammen fernhalten.
Andernfalls besteht Feuer- und Explosionsgefahr.
Falls Batterieflüssigkeit in Kontakt mit der Haut oder
Bekleidung gerät, sofort mit sauberem Wasser abwaschen.
Andernfalls besteht Gefahr, dass die Flüssigkeit die Haut
verletzt bzw. die Bekleidung beschädigt.
Die Plus- und Minuspole nicht mit Metallgegenständen, wie
z.B. einer Halskette, kurzschließen. Andernfalls besteht
Überhitzungs- und Auslaufgefahr, was zu Verbrennungen
und sonstigen Verletzungen führen kann.

VORSICHT:

Die Akkus vom Typ LIP-2500 sind ausschließlich zum
Gebrauch mit dem Drucker TM-P60 bestimmt. Nicht in
anderen Geräten benutzen.
Vor Gebrauch der Batterie sicherstellen, dass die
Anschlusspole sauber sind. Verschmutzte Anschlusspole
verhindern u.U. den Stromfluss.
Die Batterie nicht unmittelbar nach längerem Gebrauch
berühren. Sie ist heiß und kann Verbrennungsverletzungen
verursachen.

Sicherheitsaufkleber

VORSICHT:

Wenn die Batterie durch einen falschen Batterietyp ersetzt
wird, besteht Explosionsgefahr.
Die Batterien gemäß den Anweisungen entsorgen.
Nicht verbrennen.
Nicht auseinandernehmen.
Keinen hohen Temperaturen (60°C) aussetzen.
Akkus niemals kurzschließen oder öffnen, und von offener
Flamme und Wasser fernhalten!

Vor Gebrauch

den Ladezeiten sind in der
Bedie nungsanleit ung des D ruckers zu
finden, für den die Bat terie verwen det
wird.

"A" in der Abbildung kann per Hand
geschaltet und als Wiederaufladeanzeige
verwendet werden. Z.B. ist Umsc halten auf
grün möglich, um anzuzeigen, dass der
Ladevorgang abgeschlossen ist.

Bestmögliche Akku­Verwendung

❏

Keinen Staub oder Schmutz in die Polöffnungen ("B" in der
Abbildung) eindringen lassen und Pole sauber halten. Et waige
Staubablagerungen in den Polöffnungen mit einem spitzen, nicht zu
harten Stäbchen entfernen; dann die Batterie einige Male anschließen
und abnehmen.

Die Batterie entlädt sich bei Nichtgebrauch langsam von selbst. Wir
empfehle n, sie ein paar Tage vor Ge brauch aufzuladen.

❏

Um die maximale Anzahl von Lade- und Entladezyklen
sicherzustellen, empfehlen wir, die Batterie an einem kühlen Ort
aufzubewahren und sie in einem Temperaturbereich von 10 bis 30°C.

❏

Bei niedrigeren Temperaturen, unter 10°C, sind Einbußen bei der
Batteriebetriebsdauer zu verzeichnen.

Hinweis: Die ursprüngliche Kapazität wird nicht beeinträchtigt, wenn
die Batterie trotz vorhandener Restkapazität aufgeladen wird.

Wenn die Batterielebensdauer merklich kürzer geworden ist, sollte die
Batterie gegen eine neue ausgewechselt und entsorgt werden.

GEVAAR:

Laat de batt erij nooit achter op een plaats waar de
temperatuur kan stijgen tot meer dan 60 °C, zoals in een in
de zon geparkeerde auto of in direct zonlicht. Dat kan
brand, explosies, lekkage, oververhitting of schade
veroorzaken.

Soldeer geen draden of aansluitklemmen direct op de
batterij en demonteer en modificeer hem niet. Dat kan
brand, explosies, lekkage, oververhitting of schade
veroorzaken.
Verbind de plus- en minpolen niet met elkaar. Dat kan
brand, oververhitting of elektrische schokken veroorzaken.
Sluit de batterij niet direct aan op een stopcontact of op het
aanstekercontact in een auto. Dat kan brand, explosies,
lekkage, oververhitting of schade veroorzaken.
Steek de batterij niet in met de plus- en minpolen
omgekeerd. Als u de batterij niet moeiteloos kunt insteken,
mag u hem niet forceren. Dat kan brand, explosies, lekkage,
oververhitting of schade veroorzaken.
Mocht er batterijvloeistof in uw ogen terechtkomen, spoel ze
dan meteen met schoon water gedurende meer dan 10
minuten en raadpleeg uw doktor onmiddellijk. Nalaten dit te
doen kan resulteren in aantasting van uw
gezichtsvermogen.

WAARSCHUWING:

Houd de batterij buiten bereik van kinderen om letsel van
die kinderen te voorkomen.
Laad de batterij met het OT-CH60 laadapparaat of met
behulp van de PS-10 netspanningsadapter voor voeding
van de TM-P60 printer. Gebruik van een andere dan de hier
vermelde batterijlader kan brand, explosies, lekkage,
oververhitting of andere schade veroorzaken.
Trek de stekker van de batterijlader uit het stopcontact als het
laden na de daarvoor vereiste tijd nog niet voltooid is. Verder
laden van de batterij kan brand, explosies of oververhitting
veroorzaken.
Stel de batterij niet bloot aan water. Voorkom dat de polen
nat worden. Dat kan brand, oververhitting of elektrische
schokken veroorzaken.
Sla niet op de batterij en gooi er niet mee. Dat kan een
explosie of oververhitting veroorzaken.
Gebruik de batterij niet als u ziet dat er iets mis is, zoals
lekkage, kleurverandering of vervorming. Gebruik van de
batterijlader kan brand, explosies of oververhitting
veroorzaken.
Houd de batterij van open vuur vandaan als hij sterk gaat
ruiken of lekt. Anders kan er brand of een explosie optreden.
Spoel batterijvloeistof als die op de huid of kleding
terechtkomt meteen met schoon water weg. Nalaten dit te
doen kan resulteren in aantasting van huid of kleding.
Sluit de plus- en minpolen niet kort met metalen voorwerpen
zoals bijvoorbeeld een halsketting. Dit kan oververhitting of
lekkage veroorzaken, wat kan resulteren in brandwonden of
letsel.

LET OP:

LIP-2500 lithium-ionenbatterijen zijn uitsluitend bestemd voor
gebruik met de TM-P60 printer. Niet met andere apparatuur
gebruiken.
Controleer voordat u de batterij gebruikt of de polen schoon
zijn. Als de polen vervuild zijn, is de geleiding niet goed.
Raak de batterij niet aan nadat u hem langere tijd gebruikt
hebt. De batterij is heet en u kunt zich eraan verbranden.

Veiligheidsetiket

LET OP:

Er bestaat explosiegevaar als de batterij door een batterij
van verkeerd type vervangen wordt.
Werp oude batterijen weg volgens de instructies.
Niet verbranden.
De polen niet kortsluiten.
Niet blootstellen aan hoge temperaturen (60°C ).
Stel de batterij nooit bloot aan vuur of water, sluit hem nooit
kort en demonteer hem niet.

Vóór gebruik

Raadpleeg de gebruiksaanwijzing van de
printer waarin de batterij gebruikt wordt
voor laadprocedures en de laadduur.

"A" in de afbeelding kan met de hand
verzet worden en gebruikt worden als
laadmerkteken. U kunt het bijvoorbeeld op
groen zetten om aan te ge ven dat het laden
van de batterij voltooid is.

De beste manier om de
batterij te gebruiken

❏

Pas op dat er geen stof of vuil in de
pool gaten (" B" in de a fbeeldin g) tere cht
komt en houd de polen schoon. Verwijder event ueel stof in de
poolgaten met een puntig, niet te hard stukje hout, bijv. een
tandenstoker; installeer en verwijder de batterij vervolgens enige
male n.

De batterij loopt langzaam leeg, zelfs als hij niet gebruikt wordt. Het
wordt aanbevolen hem slechts enige dagen voor gebruik te laden.

❏

Om de batterij zo vaak mogelijk te kunnen laden en ontladen, wordt
aanbevolen de batterij koel te bewaren en hem te laden bij een
temperatuur van 10 °C tot 30 °C.

❏

Bij een lage te mperatuur (minder dan 10 ° C) neemt de levensduur van
de batterij af.

NB: Laden terwijl de batterij nog gedeeltelijk geladen is, is niet van
invloed op het oorspronkelijke laadvermogen.

Als de batterijl ading nog maar zeer kort meega at, kan dat betekenen dat
de batterij zijn levensduur bereik t heeft. Vervang de batterij in dat ge val
door een nieuwe.

Ne jamais raccorder directement les accus à une prise de
courant ou à l'allume-cigare d'un véhicule. Il existe sinon un
risque d'incendie, d'explosion, de fuite, de surchauffe ou de
dégâts.
Ne jamais insérer les accus en inversant les bornes positive et
négative. Si les accus sont difficiles à insérer, ne pas forcer. Il
existe sinon un risque d'incendie, d'explosion, de fuite, de
surchauffe ou de dégâts.
En cas de contact du liquide des accus avec les yeux, rincer
à l'eau propre pendant au moins 10 minutes et consulter

AVERTISSEMENT :

Afin d'éviter tout risque de blessure, garder les accus hors de
la portée des enfants.
Charger les accus avec le chargeur OT-CH60 ou à l'aide de

ATTENTION :

Les accus ion-lithium LIP-2500 doivent être utilisés
exclusivement avec l'imprimante TM-P60. Ne les utiliser avec
aucun autre équipement.
Avant d'utiliser les accus, vérifier que les bornes sont propres.
Les bornes sales risquent d'entraver la circulation du courant.
Ne jamais toucher les accus après une utilisation prolongée.
Leur température élevée pose un risque de brûlure.

Méthode optimale
d'emploi des accus

Veillez à ne pas laisser de poussière ni de
saleté pénétrer dans les t rous des bornes (B
sur la figure) et à ce que l es bornes reste nt bien propres. Nettoye r
soigneusement toute saleté qui se serait déposée dans les trous des
bornes avec un objet pointu pas trop dur, puis posez et enlevez les
accus à plusieurs reprises.

Les accus se déchargent graduellement, même lorsqu'ils ne sont pas
utilisés. Il est recommandé de les charger 2 jours avant de s'en servir.

❏

Afin d'obtenir un nombre maximal de cycles charge-décharge, il est
recommandé d'entreposer les accus dans un endroit frais et de les
charger à une température comprise entre 10 et 30°C.

❏

Aux températures inférieures à 10°C, la durée de service des accus est
abrégée.

Remarque : Le fait de recharger les accus avant qu'ils ne soient
totalement déchargés ne réduit pas leur capacité initiale.

Si la durée de fonctionnement des accus devient très brève, il se peut
qu'ils soient arrivés au terme de leur cycle de vie. Il faut alors les
remplacer par des accus neufs.

Tome cuidado para não deixar que sujeira e pó acumulem nos
terminais ("B" na il ustração) e mantenha -os limpos. Remova
completamente toda a sujeira acumulada nos orifícios dos terminais
ao utilizar um bastão macio com ponta; em seguida, ligue e remova a
bateria algumas vezes.

A bateria descarrega gradualmente mesmo que não seja utilizada.

La mejor forma de usar el
paquete de batería

Tenga cuidado para evitar que el polvo o la mugre entren en los
agujeros de los terminales ("B" en la ilustración) y manténgalos
limpios. Quite completamente el polvo acumulado en los agujeros de

sia scaduta. Sostituirla con una nuova.
