4. USING THE EBOOK FOR THE FIRST TIME
4.1. CHARGING
*Fully charge the E-book’s batt ery prior to the f irst use, as ther e might be insufficient power in th e battery for n ormal operation s.
Connect t he eBook to the USB-A C/DC adapter or computer ’s free USB port via the supplied USB Cable. A charging icon will be display ed on screen (bott om left corner) to ind icate the charg ing status.
The eBook Energ y 2060 will switch off automatically when the dev ice battery is running low.

4.2. SWITCHING ON THE EBOOK
Press a nd hold the “Power ” Button to switch on the eB ook. It will take a fe w moments for the eBook to star t up. A loading page like the image displayed above will b e shown. Please wait.
4.3. SWITCHING OFF THE EBOOK
Press a nd hold the “Power ” button to swi tch off the eBook . A confirmation dialog box will appear to validate the shut down operation. Pr ess on the following buttons to con firm or cancel the shut down.

4.4. IMPORTING CONTENT TO THE EBOOK THROUGH SD CARDS
The SD/MMC card is t he primary storage media of the eBook reader; all con tents are to be st ored on the SD /MMC c ard.
Copy the desired files to the SD c ard from the PC. Ins ert the SD card in to the eBook reader ’s c ard slot. Th e eBook will compile all c ontents stored on the SD/ MMC card and load them to the eBo ok
Energ y 2060. The proces s can take a few moments if the conten ts stored on the SD c ard are large, according w ith the card capacit y and size.
The eBook r eader Energy 2 060 is compatible with SD/S DHC cards up to 16GB, however using a high capacity memory car d will require a larger loading time, sometimes g enerating some ins tability to the device r egular use.
4.4.1. Inserting the SD/MMC Card
When the SD/MMC car d is not inserted, the following dialog window will be sho wn.

Use only compliance SD/MMC ca rds with the eBook , usage of non-compliance SD/MMC Ca rd might damage t he eBook and the SD car d. Insert the SD card in the right direction a s illustrated; inserting it in the wrong direction would damage t he media card slot as well as the S D card.
Open the SD c ard cover to reve al the eBook’s SD Card Slot, inser t the memory card in the dir ection as illustr ated, you should hear a “click” as suring that the SD c ard have been properly inserted. Retur n the SD Car d cover to the original posi tion. .

After insert ing the SD card, it will take a fe w moments to load th e contents to the eBook reader; meanwhile the eBoo k will display a dialog box to indica te the loading status.

*Do not remove the SD c ard during this pr ocess, as it could le ad to data loss or other erro rs.
4.4.2. Removing the SD card from the Media slot
Push the SD c ard as illustra ted to disengage t he SD card from the c ard slot; you should hear a “click ” as the SD ca rd disengages from the eBook’s card slot.
