Description
R66MOD series are quick-clip blocks with modular jacks that provide the user with a flexible interconnect for the distribution of voice or data pairs to RJ11 modular jacks.
These compact blocks mount in the same footprint as the R66M150X block. The R66MOD
can be wall, backboard, or frame mounted, or it may be mounted on a standard 89-type
bracket (Emerson R891 Series and R89B).
Unstripped solid 20- to 26-gauge (.4 to .8 mm) conductors can be easily terminated using
an industry standard 714-type punch-down tool (Emerson R714B). Each block is supplied
with integral fanning strips molded on each side of the base.
The block is constructed of UL 94 V-0 rated plastic, and the RJ11 jacks are made of impactresistant plastic with 50 micro-inch gold plated contacts.
Application
R66MOD units can be used anywhere
throughout a network where raw-ended solid
copper wire must be converted to modular
jacks.
R66MOD units are available in a variety of
configurations: 2 and/or 4-contact modular
jacks can have 8, 12, 16 or 20 ports; 6-contact
is available in 8, 12, or 16 ports.
