Description
R66M series connectorized quick-clip blocks speed wiring and serve as an interface with
customer premise equipment. Pair counts of 25, 50, and 100 may be ordered with either
plug or receptacle 50-position RJ21 connectors, and are available in a variety of configurations and wiring schemes.
Connectorized R66M series blocks use the standard R66M block with a clip capacity of 4
across and 50 vertical. Unstripped solid 20- to 26-gauge (.4 to .8 mm) conductors can be
easily terminated using the industry-standard 714-type punch-down tool
(Emerson R714B).
Integral fanning strips are molded on both sides of the block notched every ten rows for
neat wire routing and easy pair identification. Each block is supplied mounted on an R89type stand-off bracket. Both the block and bracket are UL 94 V-0 rated.
The 50-position RJ21 connectors are mounted on the stand-off bracket, on either the side
or the bottom of the bracket, in plug or receptacle configurations. The RJ21 connectors
interface with the terminal clips through wire-wrapping on the back side of the block. This
increases the number of clips that can be utilized on the front of the block and improves
connectivity. Each RJ21 connector is shipped with a dust cover attached to prevent connector pin contamination during storage or shipment.
Two types of covers (ordered separately) are available to protect the front of the terminal clips: a clear plastic snap-on cover (R66MC) or hinged plastic cover (R66MHCO &
R66MHCG).
Application
Connectorized R66M block series are used in
telephone equipment rooms for rapid installation of key telephone systems, PBX systems,
cables, and other low voltage terminal
equipment.
