Filter Monitor Installation Instructions

The Elkay WaterSentry filter monitor extends the life of your filter by reliably indicating when the filter should be replaced.

INSTALLATION:

Remove access panels to the internal portion of the cooler and locate the filter mounting head.
Cut a 2 inch section out of the 1/4 inch tubing after the filter head. Position the flow sensor vertically with the flow arrow

pointing up.
Locate the orientation arrow on the flow switch body. Push the inlet side of the switch (tail of arrow) onto the tubing approxi-

mately 5/8 inch. Push the other tube into the outlet of the switch.

INSTALL 2 AAA BATTERIES (Not Provided) Remove the top cover of the monitor by pressing in one side while prying apart.
Locate the AAA battery tray and install 2 AAA batteries. (please note battery polarity) USE ALKALINE BATTERIES ONLY.
Plug sensor lead into the monitor lead and mount to an internal shelf. Press the Reset Button.

OPERATION OF THE MONITOR:

When a filter change is due, the monitor will beep when water is flowing. Replace the filter according to the filter installation
instructions. Press the Reset Button.
To test the monitor, operate the valve to allow water to flow and depress the test switch on the face of the monitor. The alarm
will sound if functioning properly.
