System EBU1 is a device mounted in limited access areas. Any system repairs must be done only by qualied, safety aware
personnel.
EBU1 must be powered by 12-30V 50mA power supply without additional load. All system must be powered by power
supply which must meet power requirements by connected electronic appliance plus EBU1, must be approved by LST EN
60950-1 standard and be easily accessible
Any additional devices linked to the system EBU1 (computer, sensors, relays etc.) must be approved by LST EN 60950-1
standard.
Mains power must be disconnected before any installation or tuning work starts. The system installation or maintenance
must not be done during stormy conditions.
The device is switched o by 2-pole circuit breaker and back-up battery removal from EBU1 device.
Fuse F1 type – miniSMDC 500mA. Replacement fuses have to be exactly the same as indicated by the manufacturer.
The WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) marking on this product (see right) or its documentation indicates that the product must not be disposed of together with household waste. To prevent possible harm to human health and/or the environment, the
product must be disposed on in an approved and environmentally safe recycling process. For further information on how to dispose

About User Manual
This document describes a backup system EBU1, it’s installation and operation. It is very important to read User Manual before
start using the system.
1. General Information
1.1 Function
EBU1 is a power supply backup device used to connect various electronic appliances, such as sensors, adapters, dialers, automation
systems and other electronic devices.
1.2 Operation Description
ELDES EBU1 power supply backup unit has an internal 9V battery which is used to power up a connected device in case of power
supply failure. The DC output voltage is the same as DC input voltage. In case of main power is lost or cut, the system automatically
activates PF (Power Failure) output connector and begins powering up the connected electronic device by internal EBU1 battery.
After the main power source restores, the system charges the internal battery with built-in battery charger. EBU1 system comes
with wires of 15cm length .
This device can be used with any electronic device, which is powered by 9V. EBU1 can be used with the following ELDES devices:
ESIM021, ESIM251, EW1, ELAN1 etc.
System EBU1 and electronic appliance unit COM must be
connected. Output signal PF wire should be connected to
electronic appliance input zone.
1.6 System installation
1. Fix the system box with two screws to the wall.
2. Connect the circuit as shown in Fig. No.2. Power
supply cables are connected last. Electronic
appliance power supply must be disconnected
before connecting EBU1.
Even though backup system EBU1 installation is not
complicated, it is recommended to be performed by a
person with basic knowledge in electrical engineering
and electronics to avoid any system damage.
