Benutzung bei Gartenteichen und in deren Schutzbereich nur zulässig, wenn die Instal-

lation den geltenden Vorschriften entspricht. Zum Schutz vor zu hoher Berührungs­spannung muss die Installation eine Fehlerstromschutzeinrichtung mit einem Bemes­sungsreststrom von nicht mehr als 30 mA aufweisen. Bitte fragen Sie Ihren Elektro­fachmann.

Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber sowie von Personen mit verrin­gerten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an Erfahrung
und Wissen benutzt zu werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren
Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren ver­stehen. Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dür­fen nicht von Kindern ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.

Zu Ihrer eigenen Sicherheit empfiehlt es sich, mit dem Anschlusskabel
eine Tropfschlaufe zu bilden, die verhindert, dass eventuell am Kabel
entlang laufendes Wasser in die Steckdose gelangt. Bei Verwendung
einer Verteiler-Steckdose oder eines externen Netzteils, muss die Plat­zierung oberhalb des Pumpen-Netzanschlusses erfolgen.

Die für Freiland geeigneten Pumpen 1260010 und 1262010 sind vorschrifts­mäßig mit einem 10 m Kabel ausgestattet und können sowohl innerhalb als auch
außerhalb des Wassers eingesetzt werden. Sie sind nicht selbstansaugend und
müssen daher bei Betrieb außerhalb stets unter dem Niveau des Wasserspie­gels platziert sein. Die Pumpe darf nicht trocken laufen. Temperaturbereich
max. 35°C.

Montage

B Der Tragegriff wird von vorne in die obere Nut des Motorkörpers einge-

schoben. Bei Einsatz im Teichbereich dient der Tragegriff als Seilbefes­tigung.

C Wird die Pumpe innerhalb des Wassers verwendet, sollte sie nur über den

integrierten Vorfilter betrieben werden. Die Öffnung des Ansauggitters
muss dabei mit dem Verschlussdeckel abgedeckt sein.

D Bei Verwendung außerhalb des Wassers wird der Verschlussdeckel ent-

fernt und der saugseitige Gewindestutzen eingeschraubt.

Inbetriebnahme

C Platzierung im Teich auf einer stabilen Unterlage, z.B. Gartenplatte o.ä.

Nicht im Bodengrund aufstellen (Mulm!).

D Bei Einsatz außerhalb des Wassers wird zur Inbetriebname am Ende des

montierten Druckschlauches angesaugt, bis der Pumpe Wasser zufließt.
Erst jetzt den Netzstecker einstecken. Ein kurzes Anlaufgeräusch der
Pumpe ist normal.

Pflege und Wartung

E Netzstecker ziehen. Ansauggitter abnehmen (an den seitlichen Druck-

punkten leicht zusammendrücken) und Grobfilter unter fließendem Was­ser ausspülen oder auswechseln. Bei stark verschmutztem Wasser den
Grobfilter häufiger reinigen.

Haltering durch Linksdrehung öffnen. Pumpendeckel vorsichtig in ge­rader Richtung abziehen. Achtung hochwertige Keramikachse: bruch­empfindlich! Pumpenrad mit Achse herausnehmen. Alle Teile unter
fließendem Wasser kräftig ausspülen und mit Reinigungsbürsten-Set
(Bestell-Nr. 4009580) säubern. Teile anschließend in entsprechender
Reihenfolge wieder zusammensetzen.

Baugleich wie 1260010, jedoch mit 10 m Kabel für den Unterwasserbetrieb.

Die Universalpumpen 1260210 und 1262210 eignen sich nur zur Ver­wendung in Räumen.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

a) READ AND FOLLOW ALL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
b) DANGER– To avoid possible electric shock, special care should be taken

since water is employed inthe useof aquariumequipment. Foreach of the
following situations, do not attempt repairs by yourself; return the ap­pliance to an authorized service facility for service or discard the appliance.

1) If the appliance falls into the water, DON’T reach for it! First unplug
it and then retrieve it. If electrical components of the appliance get wet,
unplug the appliance immediately. (Non-immersible equipment only)

2) If the appliance shows any sign of abnormal water leakage, imme­diately unplug it from the power source. (Immersible equipment only).

3) Carefully examine the appliance after installation. It should not be
pluggedinif there iswater on partsnot intendedto bewet.

4) Do not operate any appliance if it has a damaged cord or plug, or if it
is malfunctioning or has been dropped or damaged in any manner.

5) To avoid the possibility of the appliance plug or receptacle getting wet,
position aquarium stand and tank to one side of a wall-mounted recep­tacle to prevent water from dripping onto the receptacle or plug.

A ”drip-loop”, shown in the figure, should be arranged by the user for
each cord connecting an aquarium appliance to a receptacle.

The ”drip-loop” is that part of the cord below the level of the receptacle, or
the connector if an extension cord is used, to prevent water traveling
along the cord and coming in contact with the receptacle.

If the plug or socket does get wet, DON’T unplug the cord. Disconnect
the fuse or circuit breaker that supplies power to the appliance. Then
unplug and examine for presence of water in the receptacle.

c) Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children.
d) To avoid injury, do not contact moving parts or hot parts such as heaters,

reflectors, lamp bulbs, and the like.

e) Always unplug an appliance from an outlet when not in use, before putting

on or taking off parts, and before cleaning. Never yank cord to pull plug
from outlet. Grasp the plug and pull to disconnect.

f) Do not use an appliance for other than intended use. The use of at-

tachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may
cause an unsafe condition.

g) Do not install or store the appliances where it will be exposed to the

weather or to temperatures below freezing.

h) Make sure an appliance mounted on a tank is securely in stalled before

operating it.

i) Read and observe all the important notices on the appliance.
j) If an extension cord is necessary, a cord with a proper rating should be

used. A cord rated for less amperes or watts than the appliance rating may
overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it will not be
tripped over or pulled.

k) This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other).

As a safety feature, this plug will fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit,
contact a qualified electrician.

Never use with an extension cord unless plug can be fully inserted. Do not
attempt to defeat this safety feature.

Exception: This instruction may be omitted for an appliance that is not
provided with a polarized attachment plug.

This pump is supplied with a grounding conductor and grounding-type attach­ment plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, be certain that it is connected
only to a properly grounded, grounding-type receptacle, in a circuit protected
by a ground fault circuit interrupter.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This appliance should be grounded to minimize the possibility of electric shock.
This appliance is equipped with an electric cord having an equipment grounding
conductor and a grounding-type plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet
that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all appropriate codes
and ordinances.

This appliance is for use on a nominal 120 V circuit, and has a grounding plug
that looks like the plug illustrated in Sketch A. A tempory adapter which looks
like the adapter illustrated in Sketches B and C, may be used to connect this
plug to a two pole receptacle as shown in Sketch B if a properly grounded out­let ist not available. The temporary adapter should be used only until a proper­ly grounded outlet can be installed by a qualified electrician. The green colored
rigid ear (lug, etc.) extending from the adapter must be fastened to a permanent
ground such as a properly grounded outlet box.

All electrical equipment in the water must be disconnected from the mains during care

and maintenance work.
The connecting line of this device can not be replaced. When the line is damaged, the

device must no longer be used. Never carry the pump by the cable; do not bend the

able.

The pumps may only be used in garden ponds and their area of protection if installed

according to prevailing regulations. As a means of protection against overly high shock
hazard voltage, the installation must show a leakage current safety guard with a rated
residual current of no more than 30 mA. Please consult your electrician.

This equipment can be used by children above the age of 8 or by persons with reduced
physical, mental or sensory capacities or a lack of experience or knowledge, provided
they are supervised or have received instruction in the safe use of the equipment and
therefore understand the risks involved. Do not allow children to play with this equip­ment. Do not allow children to clean or conduct user maintenance
without supervision.

For your own safety we recommend that you make a drip loop with the
power cord. This drip loop prevents any water running along the cord
from reaching the electrical socket. If an extension lead with several
sockets or an external power supply is used, place it above the pump
power connection.

The pumps 1260010 and 1262010 - suitable for outdoor use - are equipped with
a 10 m cable according to regulations and can be used submerged as well as
outside the water. They are not self-priming; when used outside the water they
must be installed constantly below water level. The pump must not run
dry. Temperature range max. 35°C.

Installation

B The carrying handle should be inserted, from the front, into the upper

groove in the motor body. For pond use, the handle serves to secure
a retaining rope.

C If the pump is used under water, it must only be operated using in the

built-in prefilter. For this purpose, cover the intake grille aperture with
the cap.

D For use out of water, the cap should be removed and replaced by the

screw-in intake adaptor.

Putting into operation

C When used in a pond, the pump must be placed on a firm base, e.g.

a paving slab. Do not place it on the soft floor of the pond.

D When used outside the water, the pump is started by priming at the end

of the pressure hose until water flows to the pump. Only then should
the power plug be plugged in.

The pump might emit a brief starting noise, which is normal.

Maintenance and servicing

E Disconnect the power supply. Remove intake grille (squeeze the pres-

sure points at the sides) and rinse coarse filter under running water
or replace. If the water is heavily contaminated, clean the filter fre­quently.

Unscrew and remove the retaining ring and carefully pull the pump
cover straight out, taking care not to damage the fragile ceramic shaft.
Remove impeller with spindle.

Thoroughly rinse all parts under running water and clean with set of
EHEIM brushes (order no. 4009580). Reassemble in reverse order.

Fountain pump 3260010 and 3264010

Model: see type plate on pump housing

Similar to 1260010 with 10 m cable for underwater operation.

Les pompes adaptées à l’extérieur 1260010 et 1262010 sont équipées de
manière réglementaire d’un câble de 10 m et elles peuvent être utilisées aussi
bien immergées qu’à l’extérieur de l’eau. Elles n’ont pas d’amorçage auto­matique et doivent donc être toujours positionnées lors du fonctionnement
en dessous du niveau de l’eau. La pompe ne doit pas tourner à sec. Plage de
température max. 35° C.

Assemblage

B Insérer à l’avant la poignée de transport dans la gorge supérieure du

corps du moteur. En cas de mise en service de la pompe dans un étang,
une corde peut être attachée à la poignée de transport.

C Si la pompe doit fonctionner à l’état immergé, le passage par le préfiltre

intégré est obligatoire. Ce faisant, veiller à obstruer l’ouverture de la grille
d’aspiration avec le couvercle de fermeture.

D En cas de fonctionnement hors de l’eau, retirer le couvercle de fermeture

et visser l’embout fileté côté aspiration.

Mise en service

C Dans un étang, veiller à poser la pompe sur un support stable (ex. dalle

de jardin). Ne jamais la déposer dans le fond (terre pulvérente).

D Lorsque la pompe est utilisée à l’extérieur de l’eau, il est nécessaire

d’aspirer pour la mettre en service à l’extrémité du tuyau monté de
refoulement jusqu’à ce que l’eau arrive dans la pompe. Brancer ensuite
la fiche secteur. Il est normal d’entendre d’un petit bruit au démarrage.

Nettoyage et entretien

E Retirer la prise du réseau électrique. En lever la grille d’aspiration (com-

primer légèrement les points latéraux) et nettoyer le péfiltre à l’eau
courante ou le remplacer. Si l’eau est très sale, nettoyer le préfiltre plus
souvent.

Ouvrir la bague de maintien en la tournant vers la droite et retirer avec
précaution le couvercle de pompe en s’assurant qu’il soit bien droit.
Attention au fragil et onéreux axe en céramique. Retirer la turbine et son
axe. Rincer abondamment à l’eau claire toutes les pièces et les nettoyer
avec le jeu de brosses (no. de réf. 4009580). Remonter ensuite les pièces
en respectant la chronologie d’assemblage.

Pompe de fontaine 3260010 et 3264010

Version: voir indication de type sur le corps de la pompe

De conception identique à 1260010, cette pompe est cependant équipée
d’un câble de 10 m de long. Cette pompe est prévue pour une mise en service immergée.

Consignes de sécurité

Les pompes universelles 1260210 et 1262210 ne sont prévues que
pour être utilisées à l’intérieur.

Construction identique à 1260010. Son câble de 1,7 m de long ne permet pas
l’emploi pour bassins de plein air.

G La plaque de fixation peut être montée en 3 points différents pour une

mise en service universelle de la pompe.
