individual ports.
It is important that you only charge E-ite and ParkZone 1-Cell 3.7V Li-Po Batteries, used in our ultra-micro yers, with the Celectra 4-Port 1-Cell 3.7V 0.3A DC Li-Po Charger (EFLC1004). Please familiarize yourself thoroughly with the Battery Warnings and Guidelines section before continuing.
Please follow these steps to charge your single-cell Li-Po battery with the Celectra 4-Port
Li-Po Charger.
• Remove the cover on the bottom of the charger and install four D-size batteries, noting proper polarity. Replace the cover after the D-size batteries are installed.
Introduction
The Celectra 4-Port DC Li-Po Charger (EFLC1004} offers E-ite® and ParkZone® single-cell Li-Po users, for ultra-micro yers, the convenience of charging multiple or individual singlecell Li-Po batteries simultaneously. Pilots can also charge without the need for D-size batteries with the optional E-ite 6V AC/DC Power supply (EFLC1005), specically designed for use with your 4-port charger.
Battery Warnings and Guidelines
While the Celectra 4-Port 1-Cell 3.7V 0.3A DC Li-Po Charger has been specically designed to safely charge the E-ite and ParkZone single-cell 3.7V Lithium Polymer Batteries such as EFLB1101S and PKZ3001, you MUST read the following safety instructions and warnings before handling, charging or using the Li-Po battery.
Note: Lithium Polymer batteries are signicantly more volatile than the alkaline, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries used in RC applications. All instructions and warnings must be followed exactly. Mishandling of Li-Po batteries can result in re.
By handling, charging or using the included Li-Po battery, you assume all risks associated with lithium batteries. If you do not agree with these conditions, return your complete Celectra 4-Port 1-Cell 3.7V 0.3A DC Li-Po Charger (EFLC1004), in unused condition to the place of purchase immediately.
• You must charge 1-cell 3.7V Li-Po batteries in a safe area away from
flammable materials.
• Never charge the battery unattended. When charging the battery you should always
remain in constant observation to monitor the charging process and react to potential problems that may occur.
• After ight, the Li-Po batteries must be cooled to the ambient temperature before charging.
• If at any time during the charge or discharge process the battery begins to balloon or swell, discontinue charging or discharging immediately. Quickly and safely disconnect the battery, then place it in a safe, open area away from ammable materials to observe it for at least 15 minutes. Continuing to charge or discharge a battery that has begun to balloon or swell can result in a re. A battery that has ballooned or swollen even a small amount must be removed from service
completely.

• Slide the battery into any open slot on the charger. The end-cap of the battery has been specically designed to allow the battery to be slid into one of the slots easily one way (usually with the label on the battery facing outward) to prevent reverse polarity connection. However, please be sure to check for proper alignment and polarity before proceeding to the next step.
• Gently press the battery and its connector into one of the charge jack/connectors located at the bottom of the slots on the charger. Again, be sure to check for and to achieve proper polarity before making the connection. DO NOT FORCE THE BATTERY INTO THE SLOT.
• After you make the connection successfully, the LED light on the charger port being
used will turn solid red, indicating that charging has begun.
• It will take approximately 30–40 minutes to charge a fully discharged (not overdischarged) 70mAh–110mAh battery. As the battery nears full charge, the LED light will begin to blink. When the battery is fully charged the LED light will blink
approximately every 20 seconds or will go out entirely.
Note: Do not leave charged Li-Po batteries connected in any of the charge ports for
long periods of time.
Using the optional 6V, 1.5-Amp AC/DC Power Supply (EFLC1005)
The Celectra 4-Port 1-Cell 3.7V 0.3A DC Li-Po Charger was designed to be compatible with the E-ite 6V, 1.5-Amp AC/DC Power Supply.
NEVER attempt to power the charger from an AC outlet without the use of a proper AC to
DC adapter/power supply.
Note: When using the AC to DC adapter/power supply, the Celectra 4-Port Charger
is designed to bypass the D-size battery circuitry to prevent damage. It is still highly recommended that you remove D-size batteries when connecting your
charger to a compatible AC/DC adapter/power supply. Do not insert charged or discharged Li-Po batteries in any of the charge ports if the power supply is connected to the 4-port charger while power supply is not connected to a power source.
NEVER LEAVE THE ADAPTER/POWER SUPPLY OR CHARGER PLUGGED IN UNNATTENDED.
Celectra 4-Port Li-Po Charger Warning
Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) batteries are signicantly more volatile than other rechargeable batteries used in RC applications. Failure to read and follow these instructions and safety precautions may result in re, personal injury and damage to property.
