IP200 Series Ice Makers: How to Replace the Water Pump
Before you begin, you will need a Phillips head screwdriver, a wire cutter and the
replacement water pump.
Caution: Electric shock risk! Disconnect power before servicing!
1. Unplug the unit from power and completely drain the water.
2. Remove the two screws on the back of the unit and two screws at the bottom back.
*Note: the stainless steel models have an extra 6 screws that need to be removed.
3. Remove right side panel (if you are looking at the unit from the back). There are
screws attaching that panel underneath the back panel and below the panel on the
underside of the unit.
4. Remove the brace bar in the middle of the exposed unit.
5. If you need more room to work in the unit you can also remove the two screws that
attach the fan to the underside of the unit and there are four screws that secure the
condenser coils on the right side underneath the unit as well. You can then slide the
fan out and push the coils to the side gently to create more visibility.
6. Underneath the pump there is a bracket that secures it. There is a screw to release
the pump on the underside of the unit. The pump will slide out towards you.
7. Cut the zip ties that secure the two hoses to the pump.
8. Follow the black wire that leads from the pump to the enclosed circuit board located
behind the brace bar. Detach the connection from the board and attach the new
pump.
9. Slide the hoses off the old pump and insert the new pump into the bracket.
10. Carefully reattach hoses assuring that the connections are secure. If you have zip
ties, you can use them to tighten the connection.
11. Reverse process to reattach by securing the pump to the bracket from underneath.
12. Reattach the coils and fan component, close circuit board encasement and reattach
the brace bar.
13. Attach the right side panel.
14. Attach the back panel.
15. Allow the unit to sit upright for 30 minutes to let the compressor settle.
