Important: Maintaining Waterproofness
If the caps or the door on either side panel are not properly closed, the unit is NOT watertight.
Waterproof Caps
To close properly, turn the cap clockwise so the cap’s arrow point lines up with the locked symbol .
To access the connections, turn the cap counterclockwise so the cap’s arrow point lines up with the unlocked symbol , then pull tab on cap to open.
Waterproof Door
To open, squeeze the spring loaded latch to release the locking tabs, then pull open the door using the handle. Door cannot be opened unless the spring loaded latch is squeezed while pulling the door open. The waterproof seal on the door will create some resistance while opening the door.
To close, push the door firmly until it 'clicks' into place and the locking tabs are secured into position. If needed, press on the door firmly near the locking tabs to ensure the door is fully closed and locked. The waterproof seal on the door will create some resistance while closing the door.
To ensure the compartment is watertight:
· Visually check the seal on the door to ensure it is free from dirt and
other contaminants, and also check for any damage to the seal. If the seal is damaged or dirty the compartment may not be waterproof.
· Ensure the door is fully seated into its closed and locked position. If the
door is not properly closed the compartment may not be waterproof.
· Ensure no obstruction is keeping the door from closing properly. If the
door is not properly closed the compartment may not be waterproof.
