SUBJECT: EUROPEAN ENGINE

GUARD, KIT # 74000-00

FITS MODELS: 3" CHIPPER/

SHREDDER SC3240-S (70380S)

AND SC3270-S

WARNING

Before inspecting or servicing any part of this machine,
shut off power source, remove key, disconnect the
battery cables and make sure all moving parts have
come to a complete stop.

INSTALLING THE ENGINE GUARD

Install the chipper handle according to the instructions 1.
found in the owner's manual.

Place the engine guard over the frame of the chipper 2.
as shown in Fig. 1.

Connect the engine guard to the chipper frame using 3.
the 5/16" carriage bolts, washers, and nuts. Do not
yet fully tighten.

Connect the engine guide brace to the engine guard 4.
using the 5/16" carriage bolt and nut. Be sure to
orientate the brace as shown in Fig. 2.

Connect the other end of the brace to the handle of 5.
the chipper as shown in Fig. 2. Use the 5/16" x 1-1/2"
hex bolt and nut.

Tighten all hardware to 18 ft.-lbs.6.
