1. Get Started
Charging the Unit Before using the Echo Com for the first time, it is recommended to charge the unit overnight. Plug the A/C charger into a wall socket and connect the USB cord to the charger and the
headset charging port. You can also connect the USB cord to a powered USB port on your PC or laptop.
While charging, the Status Light will illuminate solid red. When the unit is fully charged, the light will go out. Subsequent charging should take about 3 hours.

The Echo Com can also be connected to an Echo Plug & Go and charged while riding. Simply attach the additional cord provided to the charging ports on each device.
Helmet Installation Position the speaker connected to the microphone in the left ear hole or left speaker pocket of
your helmet liner. Position the other speaker in the right ear hole or right speaker pocket. Use the Velcro pads, if needed, to keep the speakers in place. Cable and charging cord can be neatly tucked away behind helmet liner.
To reduce external noise, position the microphone so that it is directly in front of your mouth, with the foam just touching your lips.
2. Get Connected
Phone Set-Up Turn on your phone’s Bluetooth setting. Power-up the Echo Com unit by pressing and holding the Power/Function button for 4-5
seconds until the Status Light is flashing blue. Add, search or scan for devices. When “Echo Com” appears, select it. Pairing code is’ 0000’(four zero). You should now be connected via Bluetooth.
Status Light will continue to blink blue while Bluetooth is in use. To end Bluetooth connection, simply switch off the power on the Echo Com unit. The next time you turn on your Echo Com unit, the Bluetooth connection should be maintained,
as long as the phone settings were not changed. Intercom Set-Up Power-up both Echo Com units by pressing and holding the Power/Function button for 7-8
seconds until BOTH the blue and red lights are flashing. Briefly press the Power/Function button of one of the units. The red lights on both units should
go out, while the blue lights continue to flash. Status Light will continue to flash blue while units are paired.
3. Get Talking and More
Answer/End a Call The unit will automatically answer incoming phone calls after several rings. The phone call will
interrupt any intercom communication or other audio that may be playing at the time. You can also manually answer a call more quickly by briefly pressing the Phone button. To reject a call, simply press and hold the Phone button for about 2 seconds.

Once the caller hangs up, or you reject the incoming call, you will automatically be returned to the previous mode - either intercom conversation or music.
Note: Call Waiting features on your phone may not be available. Use the Intercom In order to begin or end intercom communication, quickly press the Power/Function button.
When intercom conversation has ended, you will automatically be returned to previous audio input.
Listen to Audio
(phone, MP3 player, GPS, etc.)
Audio by Phone: Once unit is synced with your phone, you can select and play music as per your phone’s music player settings.
Audio by MP3 player, GPS unit or other device: Follow syncing instructions on your device and play audio as per device settings.
Intercom communication and incoming phone calls will temporarily interrupt audio listening. Once phone call or intercom communication has ended, you will automatically return to the previous audio.
Volume Control During phone calls, intercom communication and audio listening, volume can be adjusted by
moving the Volume Contr ol Slider toward mic (lower volume) or away from mic (raise volume).
4. Battery Life
Talk Time: up to 5 hours (intercom only) or 6 hours (phone only) Audio Listening Time: up to 8 hours Charging Time: about 3 hours after initial overnight charging.
For unlimited talk and audio usage, charge the Echo Com device while riding with the Echo Plug & Go system.
6. Care and Safety Info
Do not leave the Echo Com device in a cold environment for an extended period of time, as this can deplete the battery
Excessive moisture may harm the system, so it is recommended to use Echo Com behind helmet shield in inclement weather. Store Echo Com in a dry place when not in use.
As with any mobile communication device, be aware that talking while driving may impair a driver’s ability to focus on the road and surrounding traffic.
7. Warranty Information
There is a one-year manufacturer’s warranty against any manufacturing defects.
