Overview
It has come to our attention that due to improper re-assembly of the plastic portion of the PGx975 PowerG Wireless Vanishing Door/Window Contact, there is a possibility that the tamper switch of the device could become damaged, to the point where it may not properly detect a tamper condition when the case is opened, or constantly show a tamper condition even when the device is assembled.
Re-Assembly Instructions
To ensure that the PGx975 plastic is properly re-assembled at the time of installation or when the battery is replaced, please follow the instructions below. The re-assembely instructions will also be updated in the Installation Manual.
To close the cover, complete the following steps (also seen in the image below)
1. Insert the two teeth on the front cover into the corresponding slots on the base.
2. When the cover is at a 30-degree angle to the base, push it into place until you hear a
click.
