1 WORLD ENGINE. Four World Engines are offered — 1.8-liter, 2.0- liter, 2.4-liter, and 2.4-liter Turbo — which provide 148, 158, 172, and 285 horsepower, respectively. They meet aggressive

perfor mance and fuel economy tar gets through advanced cylinder head port and intake manifold design. State-of-the-art automotive technologies include dual Variable Valve Timing (VVT) and an
intake with fl ow control valves. Combined, these features produce more p ower, better f uel economy and smoother, quieter operation than engines without them.

2 CVT2. T he CVT2 is a second-

generation Continuousl y Variable Transa xle (CV T2) calibrated for precise ratio control. A Continuou sly Variable Transaxle oper ates by var ying the wor king diameters of the two main pulleys in the
transa xle. The C VT2 allows the eng ine to run at optimum rpm to prov ide approximately 8 percent better fuel economy.

The CV T2 also allows the fuel injection to remain off during deceler ation, as the

transa xle works its way down to the lowes t ratio, ingeniously saving more ga s.

SRT4® DESIGN

The Street and Racing Technology (SRT®) engineers fi tted Caliber SRT4 with a tur bocharged and intercooled 2.4-liter World Engine with dual Variable Valve Timing (V VT ) that pumps out
285 horsepower and 265 lb-f t of torque. For handling that kind of power smoothly, SRT4 also features a 6-speed Getrag manual transmission and SRT-enhanced braking system. Inside,
race-inspired design cues include deeply bolstered, SRT-badge embroidered s eating, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shif t knob boot. 1 WHEELS. SRT4

®

transfers its power to the pavement on 19-inch painte d cast-aluminum wheels (with optional 19 -inch polished aluminum whe els) with standard 225/45R19 BSW all-season

performance Goodyear tires.

2 2.4-LITER ENGINE DOHC WORLD ENGINE. The fi nely tuned 2.4-liter intercooled and turbocharged dual Variable Valve Timing (V VT ) engine uses its four

cylinders to put out 285 hors epower and an awesome 265 lb-ft of torque.

3 TURBO BOOST GAUGE. The turbo b oost gauge measures intake manifold pressure gener ated by the tur bocharger as

well as engine vacuum during lig ht load conditions. The eng ine is torque controlled. Boos t pressure will v ary based on ambient conditions, altitude, gear selected, and coolant temperature.

4 REAR SPOILER. The aerodynamic ally designed rear spoiler complements the uniqu e rear fascia while ma ximizing the rear view. It al so houses the LED center high-mounted stoplamp. It matches

the attitude delivered by an oversized, chrome-tipped exhaust system.

INTERIOR DESIGN

INSTRUMENT PANEL. Add a triple threat of high-tech with a Machined Aluminum Shif t Knob, Carbon Fiber-Style Center Stack and Shif t Surround, all Authentic Dodge Accessories by Mopar.

The center stack features an input jack on the faceplate of the standard A M/FM radio with CD player that allows a direc t connection for your per sonal music players.

GLOVE BOX. The glove box has

more tiers than a wedding cake, with an upper, wide and shallow bin, the available Chill Zone

beverage storage bin in the midsection and a traditional glove box beneath it. BRIGHT PEDAL KIT.

1 CHILL ZONE®. The available Chill Zone

®

beverage storage bin features a contoure d mat to hold four cans, four 20-oz bottles, or any combination of the t wo. 2 FLASHLIGHT. This available

removable and rechargeable fl ashlight is pigg ybacked onto the headliner of C aliber’s rear c argo area. Its batter ies are conveniently recharged when the fl ashlight is returned to its cradle.

3 GLOWING CUP HOLDERS. Two electroluminescent cup holders bet ween Caliber’s front seats emit a muted blue light when lit. 4 MP3 PLAYER CRADLE. This cradle will rock. Caliber’s

center console features an adjustable armrest that slides forward and fl ips open to reveal a rubber-lined MP 3 cradle. It w as designed to hold MP3 players, cell phones, or PDAs, keeping them within
easy reach of the available 115-volt two-pronged outlet, a standard 12-volt power outlet or t he input jack on the face of the standard stereo system’s head unit.

5 MUSICGATE POWER®. The one-

and-a-half-ton boomb ox. The av ailable MusicGate Power

SEATING CONFI GURAT IONS TO SPA RE

1 FOLD THREE FLAT. The longest of items are absorbed into the interior of an SX T and R/T with ease, thank s to a fold-fl at front-passenger seat. The feature can be used in any number of

combinations, including the solo confi guration (think bread van driver).

2 FLOOR IT. Caliber’s fl at load fl oor features a removable carpe ted load fl oor. The rear seatbacks are covered with a durable

carpet, protecting them when they are folded down.

3 TIME TO SPLIT. Caliber’s interior was de signed to deliver a veritable alge bra class of confi gur ations. The 60/40 split-folding rear seat allows

Caliber to accommodate the bulkiest cargo without inter fering with a rear-seat passenger’s comfort.

4 FOUR-AND-THEN-SOME. It seats up to fi ve in comfort, and with an interior that can fold

from one to three seats fl at. With available rear seats that recline, this cabin is busine ss class at every cor ner. Leave it to Caliber to take all the excitement out of calling “sho tgun.”

SAFETY AND SECURITY

1 CRUSH ZONES. Hig h-strength, hot-s tamped steel provides Caliber’s bod y and chassis with high level s of impact protection. T he combination of

strengthened materials and engineered crush zones — sections of the core str ucture designed to diver t and dissipate energy aw ay from the passengers —
help ensure that Caliber is toug h to the core.

2 ALL-WHEEL DRIVE (AWD). Calib er R/T AWD hit s the scene with an electronically controlled

all-wheel-drive system with variable torque output and an available Electronic Stabilit y Program (ESP).* Without driver input, Caliber’s system
seamlessly transfers power to assist any wheel in need. In doing so, the AWD system benefi ts both straight-line trac tion and cornering stabilit y.

3 ADVANCED MULTISTAGE AIR BAGS.

As standard equipment , Caliber features multistage driver and front-passenger air bags. Side-cur tain
air bags are also standard across all trim levels, extending prote ction to both rows of Caliber’s outboard passengers. Front seat-mounted side air bags
are optional . All Caliber models also include a driver’s infl atable knee blocker as standard equipment.

4 ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM (ABS).

State- of-the-art elec tronics allow Caliber ’s available antilock brake system to provide faster response times than previous systems. ABS is standard on
Caliber R/T and Caliber mo dels equipped with the C VT2 (av ailable on all models). ABS helps prevent wheel-lock and maintains directional control when
braking on slippery surfaces .
