Welcome to the Hopper, a Whole-Home HD DVR
from DISH that brings full DVR functionality, including
pausing live TV, to every TV in your house. And with
dozens of features you’ll love, it won’t take long to see

why the Hopper will be a great addition to your family.
This guide will introduce you to everything the Hopper
can do to make your entertainment experience the best
you can get.

THE HOPPER

The Hopper is the hub for all things entertainment.
It’s a three-tuner Whole-Home HD DVR that lets you
watch or record up to three live HD channels at once
and play them back from any room in your home. Plus,
you can record up to six HD channels at once with
PrimeTime Anytime
different TVs at the same time, so everyone can be in
different rooms watching their own shows.

You’re always in more than one place in your home. Fortunately, so is
Hopper. With its Whole-Home DVR network, Hopper makes it easier
than ever to start watching a program in one room and resume in another.

Press the Pause button on your remote to pause the program.

Go to the next room and pick up the DISH remote.

Press the red button to display the TV Viewing Status screen.

Select the program you want to resume and it will continue from

where you paused it.

FIND WHAT YOU WANT, FAST. HOPPER FAST.

Predictive Search makes it easier than ever to locate programs
saved on your Hopper or find what you’re looking for on live TV.

button and select the Search tile.

Using the on-screen keyboard, enter a title, actor or keyword.

Your Hopper and Joey will begin displaying results as soon as

you start typing.

Thanks to its 2 TB hard drive, the Hopper features
the most storage of any DVR in the pay-TV
industry. 2 TB is code-speak for hundreds of On
Demand movies and shows plus the ability to
record and store over 250 hours of your favorite
shows, movies and more—all in HD. And if that’s
not enough, you can easily connect an external
hard drive to your Hopper and never worry about
deleting another movie or episode again.

To access your recorded content,
press the DVR button and select
the program you want to watch.

LOCATE LOST REMOTES BEFORE YOU
CAN SAY ‘WHERE’S THE REMOTE?’

Your remote does more than change channels, turn up the volume
and pause live TV. It also can locate itself whenever it’s lost.

Press the Locate Remote button on the front of

your Hopper or Joey unit.

The remote will beep to help you locate it.

After locating the remote, hold the Select button

until the beeping stops.

And because the Hopper remote uses the latest in remote technology,
you can place your Hopper or Joey inside your TV stand or behind
your TV without worrying whether you’ll be able to change the channel.

Finding your remote is as
easy as pressing this button.

YOUR FAVORITE
SHOWS WITH
PRIMETIME ANYTIME.

Only the Hopper has PrimeTime Anytime1, the feature that gives you
instant On Demand access to your favorite shows on ABC, CBS,
FOX and NBC in crystal-clear HD. Programs airing during primetime
hours (Mon-Sat, 8-11pm EST/Sun, 7-11pm EST) can be accessed
for up to 8 days from their initial airdate, and you can always save
your shows to your DVR library to watch anytime.

TO ENABLE PRIMETIME ANYTIME,

select the PrimeTime Anytime tile.

PrimeTime Anytime will begin recording your
HD primetime shows each night.

and select Save.

To access On Demand, press the DISH On Demand
button on your remote. Press the * button on your remote
to see titles available as part of your subscription.

DISH has joined with Blockbuster to offer
customers the most extensive collection of movies,
games, family programs and TV shows available.
Your Blockbuster @Home subscription gives
