Your cleaner contains a thermal protective device to shut off the motor to avoid overheating. If this happens, turn switch off and unplug the cleaner. Inspect the exhaust, inlet, and filters for any blockage. Empty the dirt container and clean filters. After approximately 30 minutes the motor will have cooled and the vacuum will be ready to use.

Place upper handle onto top of cleaner.
Slide the back panel onto base.

Insert the two (2) long screws into the back of the handle and tighten, making sure the handle is secure.

Set aligning tab on bottom of dirt container into rectangular slot on cleaner (Diagram
2). Rotate dirt container into cleaner and push to snap into place (Diagram 2a).

Attach Tools: Slide the dust brush (A) into hole/ring on the tool caddy with bristles facing out (Diagram 3). Slide the extension wand (B)/crevice tool (C) (stored inside of extension wand) through the ring on the front right side of tool caddy. Clip Power Brush Tool (D) onto the front of the Power Brush Tool caddy (Diagram 3a).

Turn Quick Cord Release for easy cord removal. Store cord in cord guide (see Features - Page 5) to keep out of the way while vacuuming.

Remove the hose from the tool caddy.

Choose any of the handy accessories or use the hose alone. Simply push the attachment firmly onto the end of the wand or hose handle. To remove tool, twist and pull apart gently.
Press dirt container release button on front of cleaner to remove the dirt container.

Tap the lid on the inside of a garbage can to remove excess dust and dirt from filter.DO NOT APPLY WATER TO PLEATED FILTER!
Hold dirt container over garbage can and press clean release dirt container button to empty. Make sure container bottom center opening is clear of debris. Snap dirt container bottom back into place after emptying.

Remove foam filter from dirt container.

Hold the dirt container lid and grasp the filter tab. Pull away from lid.

Return new filter to the dirt container lid. Push filter into place until it snaps to prevent leakage.
*Regular Maintenance: Each time the dirt container is emptied, the pleated filter should be cleaned. Tap the lid firmly against the inside of a trash can until the dirt stops falling from the filter. (Filter will be discolored after use, this will not affect the filter’s performance.) Do not brush the filter. The cleaning instructions may vary depending on the dirt conditions.In some cases, more or less cleaning of the filter may be required. It is recommended that
the filter be replaced once per year.

Align tabs on lid with the openings on the dirt container and twist to close and secure lid.

Return dirt container to cleaner. Align slot on bottom of dirt container with tab on cleaner. Push to snap into place.
Lay cleaner flat and flip cleaner to expose nozzle base. Base should lay flat and face up. To remove nozzle guard, use Phillips screwdriver to remove the three (3) screws. Arrows show location of screws.
TO REPLACE BELT OR BRUSHROLL

Slide belt onto motorshaft.
With new belt in place, pull and slide brushroll into nozzle making sure that the brushroll end caps are in the correct orientation (3a inset). Rotate brushroll manually to make sure belt is properly aligned.
Rotate/pivot the nozzle guard and pull off.

Lift and remove brushroll. Dispose of old belt.
Place new belt in area of brushroll without bristles.
Secure by aligning the four (4) tabs in the base slots.

• Check to see if dirt container is full; empty if needed.
• Plug cleaner in and check to see if there is any suction at end of hose. If there is suction at end of hose, move on to Diagram 4. If there is no suction at the end of hose, follow these steps:
1. Unwrap hose from caddy. Remove obstruction. Check lower hose curve and remove obstruction (Diagram 1).
2. Remove dirt container (Pg. 8) and check dirt container inlet located on cleaner (Diagram 2).
3. Remove nozzle guard (see Diagram 3) by removing the three (3) screws. Remove obstructions (Refer to Pages 10 & 11 for belt and brushroll removal and replacement).

Lean cleaner handle back. Remove the one (1) screw (Diagram 1). Lift lens cover to remove (Diagram 1a).

Pull bulb out of socket. Do NOT twist. Gently push bulb into socket to replace.

Slide tab on lens into slot on housing. Rotate/pivot lens back into place (Diagram 3). Secure the headlight lens by replacing the one screw (Diagram 3a).
