Operator’s Manual

Congratulations for purchasing this precision pocket scale. With normal care and proper treatment, the
scale will provide years of reliable service. Please take a few minutes to read the Operator’s Manual so that
you can become acquainted with the proper usage and special features of your pocket scale.

HOW TO USE THE SCALE

Place the scale on a rigid horizontal flat surface.
Press ON/OFF button to switch on the scale and wait until “0.0” is showed on the display screen. Please

make sure the scale is under the environment with stable temperature. Put the object(s) on the center of the
platform. Wait until the display is stable. The readout equals the weight of the object(s) on the platform.
Press MODE button to choose different weighing units. After use, just press ON/OFF to switch off the scale.

HOW TO USE TARE FUNCTION

Tare function can make it easier to weigh tiny things or liquid.
Press ON/OFF button to switch on the scale. Put the container of weighing object(s) on the center of
platform, press TARE button and the screen shows “0.0”. Take the container off and put the weighing
object(s) in the container and put the container again on the center of the platform.
Wait until the screen is stable, the readout equals the weight of the weighing object(s).

HOW TO USE COUNTING FUNCTION

Your scale has counting function to count small items. To enter counting mode please press and hold PCS
button for 3 seconds and the screen will show 100. This means you need to sample the item first. The
sample you need to put on the scale is 100 pieces. Press CAL/Mode button to change sample size
(quantity). Then put the samples on the platform accordingly. Press PCS once, it will show the total weight
of the sample. Press PCS again, it will reenter the counting mode. Put the items on the platform and it will
count the number. Press CAL/Mode any time if you need to switch back to weighing mode.

MAINTENANCE

Avoiding any exposure to extreme heat or coldness. Your scale works better when operated at normal room
temperature. Always allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature for at least one hour before
using.
Keep your scale in a clean environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents and close distance to
other electronic equipment may cause an adverse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale.
Handle the scale with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto tray top. Although this scale is
designed to be quite durable, try to avoid rough treatment as this may permanently damage the internal
parts. Avoid shaking or dropping the scale. This is a precision instrument and must be handled with
extreme care.

HOW TO CALIBRATE THE SCALE

Although your scale was calibrated before shipping, due to different gravity in different part of the globe, a
from-time-to-time calibration will keep your scale always accurate.

In the status of OFF, hold both TARE key and MODE key and press ON/OFF button and release all buttons
when the screen shows “CAL”. Hereinafter the screen will show a negative figure, which is its internal code.
Wait until the internal code stays on a certain figure, press the MODE button and the screen shows “ZERO”
and then internal code. Put 600 calibration weight on the platform. Wait until the internal code stays on a
certain figure, press the MODE button, the screen shows weight of the standard weight then shows “PASS”
and then 600g. Press ON/OFF button to switch off the scale. Calibration is completed.
