Operator’s Manual

Congratulations for purchasing DIGIWEIGH BP series precision postal scale. With normal care and proper

treatment, the scale will provide years of reliable service. Please take a few minutes to read the Operator’s

Manual so that you can become acquainted with the proper usage and special features of your DIGIWEIGH
postal scale.

SPECIFICATIONS

Please check the rating label located on the bottom of your scale and find the capacity and readability. Now
DIGIWEIGH BP series is providing following capacity and readability combinations:

Model DW-15BP
Capacity: 15 lb or 9 kg
Readability: 0.1 oz or 10 g
Repeatability: 0.1 oz or 10 g
Linearity: 0.4 oz or 20 g

Model DW-56BP
Capacity: 56 lb or 25 kg
Readability: 0.1 oz or 10 g
Repeatability: 0.1 oz or 10 g
Linearity: 0.4 oz or 20 g

HOW TO USE THE SCALE

Place the scale on a rigid horizontal flat surface.

Press ON/OFF button to switch on the scale and wait until “0.0” is showed on the display screen. Please

make sure the scale is under the environment with stable temperature.
Put the object(s) on the center of the platform. Wait until the display is stable. The readout equals the

weight of the object(s) on the platform.
Press MODE button to choose different weighing units.
Open the flip top for big envelopes or rolls.

HOW TO USE TARE FUNCTION

Tare function can make it easier to weigh tiny things or liquid.
Press ON/OFF button to switch on the scale. Put the container of weighing object(s) on the center of

platform, press TARE button and the screen shows “0.0”. Take the container off and put the weighing

object(s) in the container and put the container again on the center of the platform.
Wait until the screen is stable, the readout equals the weight of the weighing object(s).

HOW TO USE HOLD FUNCTION

Your scale is designed with HOLD function for you to weigh big boxes. Just turn on the scale, put the box
on the platform, wait 3 seconds until the box is stable on the platform. Press HOLD button to freeze the
readout. Remove the box and get the readout. Press HOLD again to reactivate the scale.

MAINTENANCE

Avoiding any exposure to extreme heat or coldness. Your scale works better when operated at normal room
temperature. Always allow the scale to acclimate to normal room temperature for at least one hour before
using.

Keep your scale in a clean environment. Dust, dirt, moisture, vibration, air currents and close distance to
other electronic equipment may cause an adverse effect on the reliability and accuracy of your scale.

Handle the scale with care. Gently apply all items to be weighed onto tray top. Although this scale is
designed to be quite durable, try to avoid rough treatment as this may permanently damage the internal
parts. Avoid shaking or dropping the scale. This is a precision instrument and must be handled with
extreme care.
