Toxic fumes and materials are created when lithium ion batteries are burned.

• If battery contents come into contact with the skin, immediately wash area with mild soap and water. If
battery liquid gets into the eye, rinse water over the open eye for 15 minutes or until irritation ceases. If
medical attention is needed, the battery electrolyte is composed of liquid organic carbonates and lithium
salts.

• Contents of opened battery may cause respiratory irritation. Provide fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek
medical attention.

• Burn hazard. Battery liquid may be flammable if exposed to spark or flame.

• Fire hazard. Never attempt to open for any reason. If the housing is cracked or damaged, do not charge.
Do not crush, drop or damage. Do not use if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, run over or
damaged in any way (e.g. pierced with a nail, hit with a hammer, stepped on). Damaged Bluetooth

®

adaptors should be returned to the service center for recycling.

• Please note that changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

nickel metal hydride or lithium ion batteries (or battery packs) indicate that the costs to
recycle these batteries (or battery packs) at the end of their useful life have already been paid
by DEWALT. In some areas, it is illegal to place spent nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride
or lithium ion batteries in the trash or municipal solid waste stream and the RBRC program
provides an environmentally conscious alternative.

in the United States and Canada to facilitate the collection of spent nickel cadmium, nickel metal hydride or
lithium ion batteries. Help protect our environment and conserve natural resources by returning the spent

INTENDED USE

This DEWALT Bluetooth® radio adaptor is designed to enable a worksite radio or other audio device to
accept a Bluetooth® signal from a mobile phone or other device with Bluetooth® audio functionality.

OPERATION

NOTICE: It is recommended to fully charge the unit before using it for the first time.

Charging the Adaptor

To charge the unit, connect the USB charging cable into the charging port (C) on the unit and then plug it
in to an appropriate USB port. The AC adaptor can also be used to charge the unit via a standard electrical
outlet.
Longest life and best performance can be obtained if the battery pack is charged when the air temperature
is between 65°F and 75 °F (18° – 24°C). DO NOT charge the battery pack in an air temperature below
+40°F (+4.5 °C), or above +105°F (+40.5°C). This is important and will prevent serious damage to the
battery pack.
NOTE: While the unit is charging, the LED indicator (B) will be on solid red. If playing music while charging
the LED will alternate red and blue. When charging is complete, the red LED indicator will be off. When the
unit needs to be charged the LED indicator will flash red once every 20 seconds. The Bluetooth® device will
fully recharge in 4 hours or less.

Functionality

TURNING THE ADAPTOR ON AND OFF

To power the adaptor on press and hold the control button (A) for 4 seconds. The LED indicator will flash
blue for 3 seconds indicating the unit is on.
To power the adaptor off press and hold the control button for 4 seconds. The LED indicator will flash red
for 3 seconds indicating the unit is powering off.

PAIRING THE ADAPTOR WITH A BLUETOOTH

®

AUDIO DEVICE (FIG. 1)

1. Place the adaptor and the Bluetooth® audio source within one meter of each other.

2. With adaptor off, press and hold the control button (A) for 6-7 seconds until the LED (B) rapidly flashes
red and blue. This puts the adaptor in pairing mode lasting for 2 minutes.

3. Activate the Bluetooth® search function of your audio device or mobile phone. Once the adaptor is
found (will appear as: DEWALT Adaptor DCR002) confirm pairing on your device. Once pairing is
successful the rapid red/blue flashing of the LED will cease and the indicator will flash blue once every
5 seconds. If paired successfully, your audio device should now be able to connect with the adaptor.
Consult with your device’s owners manual for details on pairing and connecting.

CONNECTING AND MOUNTING THE ADAPTOR TO A WORKSITE RADIO (FIG. 2, 3)

The Bluetooth

®

adaptor is compatible with all DEWALT work site radios, most non-DEWALT work site radios
and other audio devices with a standard 3.5mm audio in jack.
The Bluetooth

®

adaptor can be mounted and stored on a work site radio or other speaker by mounting the
adaptor storage clip (E) to the radio. Being mindful of the adaptor’s cord length in relation to your radio’s
audio jack, apply the adhesive strips (F) provided on the back of the storage clip and to a flat surface on
your radio, refer to figure 3. Slide the adaptor into the storage clip and connect the 3.5 mm audio plug (D).
Remove adaptor from clip for charging if necessary.

Important Bluetooth® Adaptor Notes

1. When receiving a phone call on a mobile phone which is streaming to the Bluetooth® adaptor, the music

will automatically pause.

2. The unit can be used while charging, but if the charging connection is established while in use, plugging

in the unit will turn it off and the unit will need to be turned back on and possibly reconnected.

2. Optimum Bluetooth® streaming range is roughly 30 ft (line of sight) to the adaptor but distances up to

100 feet are possible. Physical obstacles, other wireless devices or electromagnetic devices may affect
the connection quality.

NOTE: If Bluetooth® connection is lost due to a time of separation exceeding the optimum distance,

obstacles or otherwise, reconnecting your device with the adaptor may be necessary.

USAGE PRÉVU

L’adaptateur radio Bluetooth® DEWALT a été conçu pour permettre à une radio de chantier ou à tout autre
appareil audio d’accepter le signal Bluetooth® d’un téléphone mobile ou de tout autre appareil comportant
une fonction audio Bluetooth®.

UTILISATION

AVIS: il est recommandé de recharger complètement l’appareil avant toute première utilisation.

Chargement de l’adaptateur

Pour recharger l’appareil, branchez le câble de charge USB dans le port de charge (C) de l’appareil puis
branchez l’autre extrémité dans un port USB approprié. L’adaptateur CA peut également être utilisé pour
recharger l’appareil au travers d’une prise électrique standard.
Pour augmenter la durée de vie du bloc-piles et optimiser son rendement, le recharger à une température
ambiante de 18° à 24 °C (65°F à 75°F). NE PAS recharger le bloc-piles à une température inférieure à
+4,5°C (+40°F) ou supérieure à +40,5°C (+105°F). C’est important pour prévenir tout dommage sérieux
au bloc-piles.
REMARQUE: alors que l’appareil se rechargera, le voyant DEL (B) rouge restera allumé fixement. Si on
joue de la musique pendant le chargement, le DEL passera alternativement du rouge au bleu. Une fois le
chargement terminé, le voyant DEL rouge s’éteindra. Lorsqu’il est nécessaire de recharger l’appareil, le
voyant DEL rouge clignotera une fois toutes les 20secondes. L’appareil Bluetooth® sera pleinement rechargé
en 4 heures ou moins.

Fonctionnalités

ARRÊT ET MISE EN MARCHE DE L’ADAPTATEUR

Pour mettre l’adaptateur en marche, maintenez appuyé 4 secondes le bouton de commande (A). Le voyant
DEL bleu clignotera 3 secondes pour indiquer que l’appareil est allumé.
Pour arrêter l’adaptateur, maintenez appuyé 4 secondes le bouton de commande. Le voyant DEL rouge
clignotera 3 secondes pour indiquer que l’appareil est éteint.

APPAIRER L’ADAPTATEUR AVEC UN APPAREIL AUDIO BLUETOOTH® (Fig.1)

1. Placez l’adaptateur et la source audio Bluetooth® à moins d’un mètre l’un de l’autre.

2. Alors que l’adaptateur est éteint, maintenez appuyé 6 à 7 secondes le bouton de commande (A) jusqu’à

ce que le DEL (B) clignote rapidement du rouge au bleu. Cela met l’adaptateur en mode d’appariement
pendant 2 minutes.

3. Activez la fonction de recherche Bluetooth® de votre appareil audio ou de votre téléphone mobile. Une

fois l’adaptateur trouvé (il apparaîtra en tant que DEWALT Adaptor (adaptateur) DCR002), confirmez
l’appariement sur votre appareil. Une fois l’appariement activé avec succès, le clignotement rapide
rouge/bleu du DEL cessera et le voyant bleu clignotera une fois toutes les 5 secondes. En cas de succès
de l’appariement, l’appareil audio devrait être capable de se connecter à l’adaptateur. Veuillez consulter
le guide d’utilisation de votre appareil pour plus de détails sur l’appariement et la connexion.

CONNEXION ET INSTALLATION DE L’ADAPTATEUR À UNE RADIO DE CHANTIER (Fig.2, 3)

L’adaptateur Bluetooth

®

est compatible avec toutes les radios de chantier DEWALT, la plupart des radios
de chantier autres que DEWALT, et tout autre appareil audio équipé d’une prise d’entrée audio standard de
3,5mm.
L’adaptateur Bluetooth® peut être monté et entreposé sur une radio de chantier ou tout autre haut-parleur
en fixant la patte de montage (E) sur la radio. En tenant compte de la longueur du cordon de l’adaptateur
nécessaire pour la connexion à la prise audio de la radio, appliquez les bandes adhésives (F) fournies à
l’arrière de la patte de montage et sur une surface plane de votre radio. Reportez-vous en figure3. Insérez
l’adaptateur dans la patte de montage et branchez la fiche audio de 3,5mm (D). Retirez l’adaptateur de la
patte pour le recharger, le cas échéant.

Remarques importantes quant à l’adaptateur Bluetooth

®

1. Alors que vous recevrez un appel sur votre téléphone mobile appairé avec votre adaptateur Bluetooth®,

la musique se mettra en pause automatiquement.

2. L’appareil peut être utilisé pendant son chargement, mais si la connexion de chargement est établie
