Safety Instructions

 Ensure the power supply is switched off before fitting, servicing.
 This floodlight is for outdoor use only.
 This floodlight must be mounted on a non-flammable surface.
 Ensure adequate ventilation is allowed between the floodlight and any object

above, in front or to either side. Minimum distance: 0.5m above, 0.3m to either
side and 1.0m in front.

 The floodlight can become hot during use. Allow adequate cooling time before

handling.

 This floodlight is of Class I construction and must be earthed.
 This floodlight must be installed in accordance with the current edition of the

IEE Wiring Regulations.

If in doubt, contact a qualified electrician.

Maintenance Instructions

 There are no user serviceable parts in this fitting.
 Periodically wipe the housing and heat sinks to maintain proper heat

dissipation.

Installation Instructions

 Remove mounting bracket, and use as a template to mark fixing holes.
 Secure bracket in location.
 Wire the pre-wired floodlight directly to an IP connector or connection box

ensuring correct polarity is observed. Brown – Live, Blue – Neutral,
Green/yellow – Earth.

 Offer the fitting back to the mounting bracket and replace the bolts. Adjust the

fitting to the required angle before tightening the bolts.

PIR Controls

On the base of the PIR are dials:
 Sensitivity Control – When the control has been rotated fully anti-clockwise,

the PIR detector will operate at a distance of about 1m. When rotated fully
clockwise, the PIR detector will operate at the maximum distance of about 8m.
The operating range can be adjusted to suit requirements.

 Time Control – Turn the dial fully anti-clockwise, the floodlight will stay on for 5

secs. Turn the dial fully clockwise, the floodlight will stay on for 8 mins.

 Daylight / Lux Control – Provisionally turn the control fully to the Moon symbol.

In this setting the PIR is inactive during daylight. At dusk, when the light level is
at the desired level, adjust the dial towards the Sun symbol until the floodlight
turns on.

 Manual override – To override the PIR so that the floodlight always stays on,

turn the power to the floodlight off and immediately back on within 2 secs. To
return control to the PIR, turn the power to the floodlight off for at least 10
secs and then back on again.
