New model information
PMA-A100
Integrated Amplier
Special edition of integrated amplier
celebrating our 100th anniversary
Where Past and Future Meet
The PMA-A100 is an integrated amplier and the fruit of many years of Denon audio technology development. To further improve the
construction, forming a solid foundation for a pure, clean audio.
The Signatures of Quality.
This high-performance edition includes special anniversary tuning, superior construction and parts, including a larger, upgraded speaker
terminal, cast iron footing for less vibration and higher sound quality, and 100th anniversary signature badge afxed to the facing of the
amplier. Each PMA-A100 in the collection has been hand tested and tuned by Denon engineers.
The PMA-A100’s glossy black nish the includes the 100th anniversary logo badge, and comes with a 5-year warranty and a signed certicate
of authenticity from the chief production engineer who hand crafted the product. Also include is a beautiful Denon “brand book” that explores the
history of one of the leading names in the audio-visual eld.
Special Edition 100th Anniversary Series
High quality audio
• UHC-MOS Single Push-Pull Circuit
The PMA-A100 features UHC (Ultra High Current) MOS
circu itry that has b een develope d to balance advanced
speaker drive capabilities and improved sound quality.
UHC-MOS technology uses a minimum number of amplier
elements while achieving approximately 10 times the nor-
mal supply of current, balancing artistic expression w ith
high output power. The PMA-A100 thus masterfully repro-
duces the full sonic range from soft delicate details to
powerful transparent climaxes of a musical performance.
• Powerful high current dynamic power circuit
The preamp power circuit that requires stable voltage and
the output stage power circuit that requires a large current
suppl y have been place d inde pende ntly from the stage
of the power transformer coils. This configurat ion of the
power circuitry th at eliminates adverse inuences caused
by the operating curren t of the output s tage signi ficantly
enhances the resolution of the preamp stage handling low
level signals. On the other hand , large -current Schottky
barrie r diode s have been used for t he rectifier elements
to support the expressiveness of the UHC-MOS with their
low-noise c haracteristics and high- speed operation. And
a large-capacity, block-type electrode capacitor for audio
appl icat ion s has bee n use d
fo r th e pow er ca pa ci to r.
This power circuitry supplies
clean, stable power to realise
a sound space that eminently
balances delicate musical nu-
ances and high power.
• Precision Mechanical Ground Construction
The vibration-resistant construction was reviewed to ensure
that the adverse inuences of vibration on sound quality are
thoroug hly suppressed. The po wer transformer , a major
source of vibration, has been “float” mounted using a
vari ety of vibrati on-r esis tant materia ls. The rad iator has
been dampened with a vibration resistant material and a
radiator stabiliser, and by mounting the radiator near the foot,
interference with the power transformer and other sources
of vibration is minimised. In addition, the depth dimension is
shorter than previous models and the chassis mounting has
been redesigned to improve resistance to vibration.
- The shorter distance between feet guides vibration
more easily to the feet.
- The radiator mounting to the chassis has been given a
lower centre of gravity to further facilitate vibration guid-
ance to the feet.
- Fins of different thicknesses have been used in the
radiator to eliminate the adverse effects of resonance.
These and other measures to minimise the effects of both
internal and external vibration, such as in the mounting and
placement of the various par ts, contribute to i mpeccable
sound transparency and improved localization.

• Twin transformers with leakage cancel-
ling mount
Two transformers have been connected in parallel to dra-
matically improve electrical and magnetic characteristics.
The Leakage Cancelling (LC) mount-in system, a method
of cancelling m utual magnetic inuences, has been used
to minimise the leaking of magnetic ux, a source of noise
inside the amp. The method in which the transformers were
mounte d also used a combi nation of spec ial resins and
vibration-resistant materials that produce a oating effect to
prevent adverse inuences from affecting sound quality.
• Accurate Volume Control with Large size
diameter
• Wide range play capability for Super Audio CD
• Parts strictly selected for high sound quality
Ease of use
• RC for both AMP & CD operation
The remot e contr ol unit tha t comes wi th
the PMA-A100 also lets you operate Denon
DCD -A1 00 CD player . High- gra de tact ile
buttons and other features make this remote
extremely easy to use.
Eco friendly design
• Low standby for ecology (0.3W)
The very low sta ndb y power consu mption
of abou t 0.3W minimise s the PMA-A100's
impact on the environment.
