Read this instructions booklet carefully before using this equipment. By doing
so, you will get the best results and enjoy the greatest possible safety in use.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
- Before inserting the plug, check to be certain that the voltage figure on the equipment’s identification plate conforms to that of your electrical system.
- Do not touch hot parts. Use the handles.
- Never place this equipment in water. To clean the toaster, all you need is a damp cloth.
- While using this toaster, set it up so that it has plenty of space in order for air to circulate freely around it.
- This equipment must be used only for its intended and explicitly conceived purpose
i.e., as a toaster. Any other use is to be considered improper and thus dangerous.
The manufacturer cannot be considered responsible in any manner whatsoever for
eventual damage resulting from improper. mistaken and unreasonable use of this
equipment or from repairs made by unqualified individuals.
If the equipment is connected to the electrical network, keep in mind the following basic
rules of safety:
- do not touch the toaster when your hands are wet or damp;
- do not use this equipment if you are barefoot or if your feet are wet;
- do not pull the feed cord or the toaster itself when detaching the plug from the electrica outlet;
- never allow small children or the mentally impaired to use this equipment with close
surveillance;
- do not leave the toaster plugged in when not in use, because it could become a
potential source of danger;
- this equipment’s power cable must never be replaced by the user inasmuch as such
replacement requires the use of special tools; if the cable is damaged, contact only a
service centre duly authorised by the manufacturer.
- in the event that you decide not to make any further use of this toaster, we recommend that you cut its feed cord in such a way as to make it unusable.
Keep these instructions in a safe place.
The materials and objects intended for contact with foodstuffs are in compliance with EEC
directive 89/109.
INSTALLATION
• Before using, check that the appliance has not been damaged during transport.
• Install the appliance on a horizontal surface, and out of the reach of children, as some
parts of the appliance reach very high temperatures during operation.
• Before inserting the plug in the power point, check that:
- tyour mains voltage corresponds to the value on the rating plate underneath the
appliance.
- the power point has a minimum rating of 10A.
- the power point is suitable for the plug, otherwise replace it.
- the power point is suitably earthed. The manufacturer declines all liability if this
instruction is not respected.
• Operate the appliance for at least 5 minutes and air the room, in order to eliminate
the "new smell"
• Clean the plates using a sponge or damp cloth and then dry carefully.

• Before using, carefully wash the non-stick grill.
• Before barbecuing grease the plates
USE
Close the toaster and insert the plug.
The red power indicator will turn on.
After preheating for around 4 minutes, the toaster will be ready and the light will go off.
The toaster is now ready for use. (Always preheat the appliance before use).
The thermostat will keep the correct temperature by turning the toaster on and off inter-
mittently. Always use this toaster in its closed position.
Place the first piece of bread on the toaster’s bottom plate. Then place or spread the filling on that piece of bread. Be careful not to use too much filling, because otherwise it
might run over during the cooking; at the same time, do not use too little filling, because then you will not get a classical full-blown sandwich. Finally, place the second slice of
bread on the filling and then close the cover by gently pressing the two handles together.
Fasten using the hook (
1) on the top cover.
Toast the sandwiches to the degree of toasting desired.
Open the cover and remove the sandwiches using a plastic or wooden utensil, so as not
to ruin the toaster’s non-stick surface.
Warning: Wait several minutes before eating the sandwich, because otherwise you
might burn your mouth and tongue.
Detach the plug after use.
CLEANING
Warning: Pull the plug out of the socket and let the toaster cool off before cleaning it.
Never place any part of this equipment in water or other liquids.
After each use, clean the plates with a sponge or a warm, damp cloth and then dry them
carefully. To remove possible crusty matter, use a plastic scouring pad or—whatever the
case—only products made specifically for stick-proof surfaces.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION (UK ONLY)
A) If your appliance comes fitted with a plug, it will
incorporate a 13 Amp fuse. If it does not fit your
socket, the plug should be cut off from the mains lead,
and an appropriate plug fitted, as below.
WARNING: Very carefully dispose of the cut off plug
after removing the fuse: do not insert in a 13 Amp
socket elsewhere in the house as this could cause a
shock hazard.
With alternative plugs not incorporating a fuse, the
circuit must be protected by a 15 Amp fuse.
If the plug is a moulded-on type, the fuse cover must
be re-fitted when changing the fuse using a 13 Amp
Asta approved fuse to BS 1362. In the event of losing
the fuse cover, the plug must NOT be used until a
replacement fuse cover can be obtained from your
nearest electrical dealer. The colour of the correct
replacement fuse cover is that as marked on the base
of the plug.
B) If your appliance is not fitted with a plug, please
follow the instructions provided below:
WARNING - THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE EARTHED
IMPORTANT
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance
with the following code:
Green and yellow: Earth
Blue: Neutral
Brown: Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead may not
correspond with the coloured markings identifying the
terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The green and yellow wire must be connected to the
terminal in the plug marked with the letter E or the earth
symbol or coloured green or green and yellow.
The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked
with the letter N or coloured black.
The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked
with the letter L or coloured red.

AVERTISSEMENTS
- Avant de brancher la fiche dans la prise de courant, vérifier si le voltage indiqué sur
la plaquette signalétique de l'appareil correspond bien à celui de votre installation
électrique.
- Ne pas toucher les parties chaudes. Utiliser les poignées.
- Ne jamais plonger l'appareil dans l'eau. Pour le nettoyer, il suffit d'utiliser un linge humide.
- Pendant l'utilisation de l'appareil, s'assurer qu'il y ait un espace suffisant autour du
sandwich toaster, apte à garantir une parfaite circulation de l'air.
- Cet appareil ne doit être destiné qu'à l'usage pour lequel il a été expressément
conçu, c'est-à-dire comme sandwich toaster. Tout autre usage doit être considéré
comme impropre et par conséquent dangereux: le constructeur décline toute responsabilité pour les éventuels dommages dérivant d'une utilisation impropre, erronée et
illogique, et de réparations effectuées par un personnel non qualifié.
Si l'appareil est branché au réseau, nous vous conseillons de suivre également les règles
de sécurité fondamentales suivantes:
- ne pas toucher l'appareil avec les mains mouillées ou humides;
- ne pas utiliser l'appareil en ayant les pieds nus ou mouillés;
- ne pas débrancher la fiche de la prise de courant en tirant sur le cordon d'alimentation ou sur l'appareil;
- ne pas laisser l'appareil à la portée des enfants ou de personnes incapables sans surveillance;
- ne pas laisser l'appareil branché inutilement, pouvant représenter une source de danger;
- l'utilisateur de l'appareil ne doit pas essayer de remplacer personnellement le cordon d'alimentation lorsqu'il est abîmé étant donné que cette opération exige des
ustensiles spéciaux. En pareil cas, s'adresser exclusivement à un centre de Service
Après-Vente agréé;
- lorsque l'on décide de ne plus se servir de cet appareil, il est recommandé, après
avoir débranché la fiche de la prise de courant, de le rendre inutilisable en coupant
le cordon d'alimentation.
Conserver soigneusement ce mode d'emploi.
Les matériaux et les objets, qui sont en contact avec des produits alimentaires, sont
conformes aux dispositions de la directive communautaire 89/109/CEE
MONTAGE
• Avant de l’utiliser, s’assurer que l’appareil n’a pas subi de dégâts pendant le transport.
• Installer l’appareil à l’horizontale, hors de la portée des enfants car pendant le fonc-
tionnement, certaines parties atteignent des températures très élevées.
• Avant d’introduire la fiche dans la prise de courant vérifier si:
- vérifier si la tension du secteur correspond à celle indiquée sur la plaque signalé-
tique fixée sous l'appareil.

- la prise de courant a une intensité minimale de 10 A,
- a prise est adaptée à la fiche, autrement, la faire remplacer,
- la prise est reliée à une mise à la terre efficace . Le fabricant décline toute
responsabilité en cas d’inobservation de cette règle.
• Nettoyer les plaques avec une éponge ou un linge humide et les essuyer très soigneusement.
• Faire fonctionner l’appareil au moins 5 minutes et aérer la pièce pour éliminer l’odeur de neuf.
• Avant de griller les aliments, graisser les plaques.
UTILISATION
Fermer l'appareil et brancher la fiche.
Le voyant rouge s'allume.
Au bout de 4 minutes environ de préchauffage, le toaster est prêt et la lampe témoin s'éteint.
Faire griller. (Toujours préchauffer l'appareil avant de l'utiliser).
Le thermostat maintient la bonne température en allumant et éteignant cycliquement l'ap-
pareil. Le sandwich toaster doit toujours être utilisé en position fermée.
Déposer une première tranche de pain sur la plaque inférieure du sandwich toaster.
Remplir le creux de la tranche de pain avec les ingrédients désirés. Ne pas remplir excessivement la tranche de pain car le contenu pourrait s'échapper pendant la cuisson, mais
déposer assez d'aliment de façon à obtenir l'épaisseur typique du sandwich.
Poser la seconde tranche de pain par dessus et refermer le couvercle en pressant doucement jusqu'à ce que les deux poignées se touchent.
Verrouiller avec le crochet (
1) placé sur le couvercle supérieur.
Griller les sandwichs au point souhaité.
Ouvrir le couvercle et sortir les sandwichs à l'aide d'une spatule en plastique ou en bois
pour ne pas abîmer le revêtement antiadhésif du toaster.
Attention: Attendre quelques minutes avant de manger le sandwich, étant donné que
son contenu pourrait être brûlant.
Après chaque utilisation, débrancher l'appareil.
ENTRETIEN
Attention: Avant chaque nettoyage, débrancher l'appareil et le laisser refroidir. Ne
jamais plonger aucune partie dans l'eau ou dans d'autres liquides.
Après chaque utilisation, nettoyer les plaques avec une éponge ou un linge chaud/humide puis bien essuyer. Pour enlever les éventuelles incrustations, utiliser une paillette en
plastique ou, de toute façon, uniquement des produits spécifiques pour revêtements
antiadhésifs.
Nettoyer l'extérieur de l'appareil avec un linge humide.

Lesen Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung vor der ersten Inbetriebsetzung des Gerätes aufmerk-
sam durch. Nur dann können Sie beste Ergebnisse und höchste Betriebssicherheit erzielen.
WICHTIGE HINWEISE
- Bevor Sie das Gerät anschließen, prüfen Sie, ob die auf dem Typen-/Leistungsschild
angegebene Voltangabe mit der Ihrer elektrischen Anlage übereinstimmt.
- Die heißen Teile nicht berühren. Verwenden Sie die Handgriffe.
- Das Gerät keinesfalls ins Wasser tauchen. Zur Reinigung genügt ein feuchtes Tuch.
- Stellen Sie den Toaster während dem Betrieb so auf, daß rundherum genügend
Raum für die Luftzirkulation bleibt.
- Dieses Gerät darf ausschließlich für den konzipierten Zweck verwendet werden, d.h.
als Toaster. Jede zweckentfremdete Verwendung kann gefährlich sein: Der Hersteller
kann für Schäden, die durch zweckentfremdete, falsche bzw. unsachgemäße
Verwendung und durch Reparaturen, die nichtfachmännisch ausgeführt werden,
nicht verantwortlich gemacht werden.
- Ist das Gerät am Stromnetz angeschlossen, beachten Sie bitte auch folgende grundlegende Sicherheitsvorschriften:
- Berühren Sie das Gerät nicht mit nassen bzw. feuchten Händen;
- Bedienen Sie das Gerät nicht, wenn Sie barfuß sind oder nasse Füße haben;
- Ziehen Sie zum Entfernen des Netzsteckers aus der Steckdose nicht direkt am
Netzanschlußkabel oder am Gerät
- Das Gerät darf von Kindern oder Personen, die mit dem Betrieb nicht vertraut sind,
nicht unbeaufsichtigt bedient werden;
- Lassen Sie das Gerät nicht unnötig eingeschaltet, da dies eine Gefahrenquelle darstellen könnte.
- Das Netzanschlußkabel dieses Gerätes darf vom Verbraucher nicht selbst ausgewechselt werden, da hierzu Spezialwerkzeuge erforderlich sind. Sollte das
Netzanschlußkabel beschädigt sein, wenden Sie sich ausschließlich an einen vom
Hersteller autorisierten Kundendienst.
- Soll das Gerät endgültig ausrangiert werden, ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose und um es vor Mißbrauch zu schützen, empfehlen wir, das
Netzanschlußkabel abzuschneiden.
Bewahren Sie diese Gebrauchsanweisung sorgfältig auf.
Materialien und Gegenstände, die mit Lebensmitteln in Berührung gelangen entsprechen
den Vorschriften der EU-Richtlinie 89/109.
INSTALLATION
• Vergewissern Sie sich vor Gebrauch, dass das Gerät keine Transportschäden aufweist.
• Stellen Sie das Gerät auf einer ebenen Fläche auf. Es darf nicht in Reichweite von
Kindern aufgestellt werden, da einige Geräteteile während des Gebrauchs hohe
Temperaturen erreichen.
• Bevor der Netzstecker in die Steckdose gesteckt wird, muss überprüft werden:
- ob die Spannung Ihres Stromnetzes mit der auf dem Typen-/Leistungsschild ange
gebenen Voltangabe übereinstimmt. Das Typen-/Leistungsschild finden Sie auf der
Unterseite des Gerätes.

- ob die Steckdose eine Stromfestigkeit von mindestens 10A aufweist.
- ob die Steckdose für den Stecker geeignet ist, ansonsten muss sie ersetzt werden.
- ob die Steckdose geerdet ist. Der Hersteller ist nicht haftbar, falls diese Vorschrift
nicht eingehalten wird.
• Die Platten mit einem Schwamm oder einem feuchten Tuch reinigen und sorgfältig
trocken reiben.
• Das Gerät in einem gut gelüfteten Raum mindestens 5 Minuten lang eingeschaltet
lassen, um den unangenehmen Geruch vor erstmaligem Gebrauch zu beseitigen.
• Vor dem Grillen sollte die Platten gefettet werden.
GEBRAUCHSANWEISUNG
Schließen Sie das Gerät und schließen Sie den Netzstecker an der Steckdose an.
Die rote Anzeige leuchtet auf.
Nach etwa 4 Minuten Vorheizen ist der Sandwich-Maker betriebsbereit und die Lampe
erlischt.
Nun können Sie mit dem Toasten beginnen. (Das Gerät vor dem Gebrauch stets vorheizen).
Das Thermostat behält die richtige Temperatur bei und schaltet das Gerät periodisch ein
und aus. Verwenden Sie den Toaster nur in geschlossener Position.
Legen Sie die erste Brotscheibe auf den Boden des Toasters. Verteilen Sie nun die Füllung
auf der Brotscheibe. Nicht zu viel, da sie ansonsten während dem Garvorgang austreten könnte, aber auch nicht zu wenig, da Sie ansonsten nicht die klassische geblähte
Sandwichform erzielen. Legen Sie nun die zweite Scheibe Brot auf die Füllung und
schließen Sie den Deckel mit leichtem Druck, bis die 2 Handgriffe aufeinander treffen.
Blockieren Sie den Verschluss mit dem eigens dazu am oberen Deckelteil angebrachten
Haken (
1).
Die Sandwiches bis zum gewünschten Gargrad toasten.
Den Deckel öffnen und die Sandwiches ausschließlich mit einem Plastik- oder Holzutensil
entnehmen, damit die antihaftbeschichtete Backfläche des Sandwich-Makers nicht
beschädigt wird.
Achtung: Warten Sie vor dem Verzehr des Sandwiches einige Minuten, da die
Füllung sehr heiß sein könnte.
Ziehen Sie nach dem Gebrauch den Netzstecker.
REINIGUNG
Achtung: Ziehen Sie den Netstecker und lassen Sie das Gerät vor der Reinigung völlig
abkühlen. Tauchen Sie keinen Geräteteil ins Wasser oder in andere Flüssigkeiten.
Reinigen Sie nach jedem Gebrauch die Platten mit einem warmen/feuchten Schwamm
oder Tuch und trocknen Sie diese dann sorgfältig. Um eventuelle Verkrustungen zu entfernen, verwenden Sie einen Plastikschaber und in jedem Fall nur Spezialprodukte für
antihaftbeschichtete Oberflächen.
Der Gerätekörper kann mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden.
