GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
Remove the fire from the packaging, checking that neither the fire nor the power cable have been damaged during transport. Do not operate the fire if damaged. Accessories - pebbles
alternative light filter – (San Marco Lilac only)
Spare light bulb. The pebbles are found in the bottom of the carton under the brown cardboard layer, so ensure that the accessories are removed before discarding the boxes.
INSTALLATION OF THE FIRE
Your fire is designed for use within an existing chimney, or as part of a fireplace a mantel and surround suite. The rebate depth is standard at 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) which should fit perfectly. If however you wish to apply it flush to the wall (with no surround) a spacer frame is required. If your model requires a spacer frame, it can be ordered from the Customer Services: dept on 0845 6006845.
Position the fire so that the plug socket is accessible.
IMPORTANT: Access must be allowed for the fire to be serviced, which involves the heater being moved forward in order to access the rear. Sufficient mains lead must be available to allow the fire to be moved for access when servicing.
Should you wish to connect the fire to a fused spur, this must be carried out by a competent electrician in accordance with the IEE wiring regulations.
Where the inset fire is being used in an existing chimney, it is important that the chimney is blocked off to prevent airflow problems within the fire. Where a chimney is not blocked off sufficiently the heater may cut out and the flame effect stop, or work poorly.
Light pattern colour – SAN MARCO LILAC ONLY
The fire comes with a coloured light pattern. An alternative light pattern is also included in the San Marco Lilac. Should you wish to change the colour to turquoise, first ensure the heater is not plugged into the mains, then unscrew the knob at the bottom of the fret panel and remove the fret and lilac filter. Then place the white backing filter followed by the turquoise filter in place of the lilac. Replace the fret and screw the knob up tightly.
Light pattern colours – accessory packs
Accessory pack consisting of different coloured light patterns; bulbs and coal etc, can be purchased from De’Longhi; Please contact Customer Services (0845 6006845) for more information.
Pebbles
Once the fire is installed in the correct position, unpack the pebbles from the accessory box. The pebbles are natural; therefore variation in size, shape and colour will occur. Now arrange the pebbles. Place them to your liking using as many as your require. We suggest you place a medium sized pebble in each corner and then add 3 larger pebbles along the front, filling the gaps with smaller pebbles and building to a slightly higher level in the centre of the fire.
