Thank you for choosing this De’Longhi heater. To get the very best out of your new heater it is advisable to read these instructions before using it.This will ensure that you gain optimum results and use the appliance safely.
General instructions

IMPORTANT: In order to keep the heater fully stable, fit one bracket between the 2 fins closest to the front control panel and fit the other between the two fins furthest from the control panel as described below:
Fit the brackets between the fins on the underneath of the radiator using the U-shaped bars and wing nuts provided as shown in figs. 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Electrical connection
- Before plugging the appliance into the mains, check that your supply
voltage is the same as that shown on the rating plate of the appliance.
- If using more than one appliance at a time, it is important to
ensure that the ring main is adequate to cope with the power requirements.
- It is important to ensure that the socket is adequately earthed.
- This appliance complies with EEC directive 89/336 regarding
electromagnetic compatibility.
Using for the first time
On using the appliance for the first time we advise that you turn it on to the maximum power setting for up to 8 hours. This is to eliminate the heater’s “new odour”. During this time ensure that the room is well ventilated.

Operation and use
Turning the appliance on
Insert the plug into the mains socket and switch on. Tu rn the thermostat dial clockwise to its highest setting (so the number 6 is visible). The heater has 3 heat settings: Minimum power: Press the bottom of the left switch (the red
light on the switch will come on)
Medium power: Press the bottom of the right switch (the red
light on the switch will come on)
Maximum power: Press the bottom of both switches (the red
lights on both switches will come on) To turn the heater off, press the top of both switches so the red lights are off and unplug at the mains. We suggest that on days when temperatures are not particularly cold, select minimum output to optimise savings on energy consumption.
Adjusting the thermostat
When the room has reached the desired temperature, turn the thermostat dial slowly in an anti-clockwise direction until you hear a click and the red lights go off. The thermostat will now keep the temperature in the room constant, turning the heater on and off as appropriate.
Frost protection function
Turn the thermostat dial fully anti-clockwise so the is showing. Press one or both switches on. When set in this way, the appliance will switch on automatically only if the room temperature falls below 5°C, to prevent freezing at minimum energy consumption.
Models with a 24 hour timer(fig. 5)
To set the timer:
-Check the time by your watch. If, for example it is 10 o’clock,
turn the number disc of the timer in a clockwise direction until the number 10 on the disc lines up with the arrow head marker .
- The heater is usually supplied with all the red “teeth” on the
timer pushed into the centre for continuous operation. Each “tooth” represents 15 minutes. Using your thumbnail push the teeth to the outer rim of the timer to indicate when you require the heater to be off.
- Ensure the heater is on the mains and set to the heat setting
and temperature level on the thermostat as desired.
- The heater will now function automatically everyday, switching
on and off according to your selection (Important-the heater must always be plugged in and a heat setting selected).

- If you wish to operate the heater without using the timer simply push all the teeth into the centre (as when the heater was first supplied).
-To completely turn off the heater, turn off all the switches and remove the plug from the mains socket.
Turbo heating (some models only)
Some models are fitted with a hot air fan to heat the room up more quickly. To turn this function on, push the button on the fan so it clicks in. To turn it off push the button so it clicks out.
PLEASE NOTE: The total (maximum) heat output of the heater with turbo fan is 1.5kW. The following heating combinations are available:
750W fan or 800W radiator or 700W radiator 750W fan + 700W radiator 700W + 800W = 1500W radiator
In other words, the hot air fan can be used independently or in conjunction with the minimum heat setting only.
Cleaning and maintenance
The heater should not require any maintenance. However before attempting to clean the heater, unplug from the mains and wait for it to cool (this should take around 30 minutes). It is sufficient to remove external dust with a soft, dry cloth. Never use abrasive powders or solvents. If necessary, remove concentrated areas of dirt with a vacuum cleaner.
