PREPARING FOR USE
1. Rotate the iron rest (fig. 3) into the working
position.
2. Rest the ironing system on the iron rest.
If using an iron without a separate steam
generator, use an iron mat to prevent the iron
rest from overheating.

mains socket.
4. Connect the ironing system or iron plug to the
socket under the board (I).
5. Press button A to turn the board on. In models

the manufacturer's instructions.
When the iron is ready, you can start ironing.
Models with double button: The board must be
switched on at least 5 minutes before starting
ironing to allow it to heat up.
The board may creak a little during the first few
minutes of ironing.
Button B turns the vacuum or blowing
function on.
The board cover provided varies according to the
model of appliance.
In models with a single button, the ironing board
cover reflects the heat with metal fibres which
distribute the heat of the iron across the board.
In the model with double button, the ironing board
cover has a heat resistant strip where you can rest
the iron while ironing (fig. 5).
AFTER IRONING

ironing board on to eliminate all traces of
moisture from the board and thus extend the
working life of your appliance.
•Turn off switch A.
• Unplug the ironing board from the mains
socket.
CLOSING THE BOARD
To close the board, follow the instructions provided
for opening the board in reverse order.
YOU MUST ON NO CIRCUMSTANCES CLOSE THE

OR IRONING SYSTEM FROM THE IRON REST.
TIPS
The heated* ironing board with vacuum and
blowing* function optimises use of your ironing
system.
It enables:
• fabrics to be dried rapidly;
• the steam discharged to be kept away from the
person ironing (vacuum function);
•the formation of condensate;
• in vacuum mode, the fabric to be kept in
contact with the surface, making ironing more
precise;
• in blowing mode*, to form an "air cushion"
under the ironing board cover to iron the most
delicate fabrics. When using this function, use
the iron delicately, without letting it come into
contact with the surface of the board.
*Certain models only.
