OVERVIEW
Dell EMC Converged Infrastructure (CI) team follows generally established industry Product Life Cycle definitions and
practices. These define the milestones for a product introduction to market, changes in product availability in the market,
and changes to availability of product support. The following is a listing of all Dell EMC Converged Systems (Vblock
Systems, VxBlock Systems, Advanced Management Platforms, and VxRack Systems) products and their life cycle
milestones.
The dates included here represent the milestone dates for the systems. However, components included in these systems
may go reach their end of life with the manufacturer in advance of these dates. Upgrade paths are engineered where
possible to allow customers to update the system up to the date of the End of Service Life for the overall system.
Please see the Dell EMC Converged System End of Service Life Policy for additional information:

AMP Central is offered in both integrated and standalone configurations. All earlier Advanced Management Platform
(AMP) models were offered as integrated components of the VxBlock and Vblock Systems in which they were deployed.
The lifecycle milestone dates below reflect the lifecycle of each of the AMP models and align with the VxBlock and Vblock
Systems in which they were deployed.
It is important to note that integrated AMP models will not be treated as standalone systems for lifecycle management
purposes within VxBlock Life Cycle Management in CloudIQ. The components of the AMP are tracked as integrated
VxBlock System components in that context.
In some cases, the AMP configuration may include components that went end of life with Cisco or Dell Technologies in
advance of the dates quoted here. In those cases, upgrade paths are offered where possible. However, in a limited
number of cases, component and/or software HCL constraints may impose a limit the upgrade opportunity for your AMP
even if it remains within the service life window. AMP replacement is available as an alternative strategy to overcome
these constraints where they occur.
If you have concerns about the lifecycle of your AMP or any component within the AMP, contact your Dell Technologies
representative who will discuss upgrade and refresh options with you.

Products reach the end of their Product Life Cycle for various reasons, which may include changes in market demands, or
new technology innovation and development leading to improved replacement products. Dell Technologies is committed
to communicating important milestones throughout the Product Life Cycle period. Dell Technologies will communicate to
the customer base at the following intervals with the Product Life Cycle:
• Product End-of-Life (EOL) notification will be provided within sixty (60) days following the product End-of-Life
milestone date.
• End-of-Primary Support (EOPS) notification will be provided for up to sixty (60), but not less than thirty (30) days, prior
to the End-of-Primary Support (EOPS) milestone date.
• End-of-Service Life (EOSL) notification will be provided up to sixty (60), but not less than thirty (30) days, prior
to the End-of-Service Life (EOSL) milestone date.

Glossary of Terms
Dell EMC Converged Infrastructure: Consist of Converged Block Systems.
Ready to Ship (RTS): Previously known as General Availability (GA). The date after which Dell Technologies makes the
Converged System available for worldwide customer purchase and fulfillment. This will also mark the beginning of Full
Support phase. During the full support phase, products are offered new feature enhancements, upgrades, maintenance,
and security patches.
End-of-Life (EOL) date: Previously known as End of Sale. The specific point in time when Dell Technologies has
discontinued a specific Converged System by removing all pricing and quoting systems (i.e., no longer available for sale)
for a specific product. This will also mark the beginning of Primary Support phase. During the primary support phase,
products will continue to receive upgrades, maintenance, and security patches.
End-of-Primary Support (EOPS) date: Previously known as End-of-Engineering. The date after which Dell Technologies
will no longer offer new feature development or upgrades for a specific Converged System. This will also mark the
beginning of Limited Support phase. During the limited support phase, products will continue to receive maintenance and
critical security patches only.
End-of-Service Life (EOSL) date: Previously known as End-of-Support. The date after which Dell Technologies will no
longer provide enhancements, upgrades, maintenance, and security patches for a Converged System.
End-of-Renewal date: The date after which a service contract renewal will no longer be offered for Dell EMC Converged
Systems. All contract renewals must be purchased prior to the End-of-Renewal date.
